After a little break we are very pleased to welcome back the RAoC Meta Card Challenges for 2026!
What are the RAoC Meta Card Challenges?
Every fortnight we publish a new theme for the Card Challenge. This is your opportunity to show off your cards.
How do I participate in the exchange?
Each fortnight a new Challenge theme is posted on the RAoC Meta subreddit (it’s always pinned to the top of the subreddit if you missed it in your feed, and there is a reminder posted on the Sunday between new challenges).
To participate in the exchange, anytime before the deadline (2 weeks after the theme is first posted) you will need to:
You can opt into sending up to 3 cards to exchange per challenge.
How does the exchange and matching work?
So you let us know you wish to opt into matching by posting a photo of your card(s) and noting your mailing preferences.
After about 2 weeks, the Mod team will match everyone opted in for exchange at random. The matching will usually be done within a week of the Challenge closing, to the best of the Mod team's ability and availability. You may not necessarily receive from and send to the same users. For regular participants, we try to ensure you are matched with different users where possible.
The Mod team will then tag you in a “MATCHING” post so you know who you’re sending to and who you will be receiving a card from. It’s then up to you to contact your match to get their address.
Each challenge also has an optional writing prompt linked to the theme if you would like an extra layer of challenge.
Once you have received your card from the person who you matched with, remember to thank them on the main [r/RandomActsOfCards](r/RandomActsOfCards) subreddit.
Although it’s extremely rare, if you ever experience anything untoward with another user while participating in an exchange we want to know straight away so we can take appropriate action. Contact the team using Modmail.
And here we are… the Challenge themes for 2026!

Whatever cards you pick for this challenge, do so lovingly!
Remember, all cards are welcome be they homemade (any skill level), store-bought (with or without your own personalization), or cards you have received from other users.
Please make sure to share a picture of your card(s) as well!
You may post your card(s) in this thread at any time, however, if you wish to be matched with other participants for exchange you need to have posted before November 8. If you want to be matched, please note where you are sending from and to (ex: From UK to WW or US to US). Please remember that you can only exchange a maximum of 3 cards a week - but feel free to post more just to share!
If you want to know more about card challenges or see the future themes for this year, this post is the place for you:

Getting a very early start and sending out my first round of Christmas cards.

I bought 82 postcards while in Greece and Turkiye. I only bought 21 in Greece and thought I was doing well.. and then I bought 61 in Turkiye. I went to a vintage section in Turkiye and picked up 15 vintage Istanbul postcards! I can't wait to send these out. I'll have to make another Turkiye offer. These are just some examples of what I picked up :)

This was news to me, I thought it might be news (and interesting) to others as well.
I was trying to find out when USPS would start using holiday-themed cancellations and stumbled across a USPS news site and their podcast - this is the most recent episode
https://news.usps.com/2026/10/28/delivering-smiles-for-the-holidays/
The news site itself has lots of interesting stories, like this one about an underwater mailbox in Japan as a destination for scuba divers.
https://news.usps.com/2026/10/20/this-post-office-has-an-underwater-mailbox/
Still don't know when the holiday cancellation starts... (I did find in 2019 they started using it on Dec. 2, so guessing it will be around that time this year 😊).

I think the post office, along with airports and the bank are where poeple new to this world spawn.

and this isn't a callout post to anyone in particular, but its been super disheartening to see ai stickers, ai postcards, ai letterpaper, ai washitape even, and sometimes the sender is aware. they make a little joke and write a reason on the front (appreciated), and sometimes i think they're not, and i don't know if i should message them like, "hey the last 2 cards and stickers were ai"...because im not trying to sound ungrateful.
im not trying to be the morality police or a neggy nancy on purpose here, but just trying to enjoy this hobby without supporting AI is getting hardddd
I cherish every mail that drops into my mailbox because it's fun and brightens my day.
i love this community and i love sending mail and supporting our mail system.
guess what im wondering is, how do i bring it up without offending the sender or sounding ungrateful, and how have you dealt with this situation if ever / at all?

So I won a PostCrossing lottery and thought it was a maxicard that had been written on, but they sent six unwritten maxicards in an envelope!
So since they are for posting from Australia only I thought it would be cool to do a kind of joint ANZAC offer in the main sub 🇳🇿 🇦🇺
I would write in one half of the writing portion and send them across the ditch to one or two (depending on interest) Australian RAoCers in an envelope and then you my Australian neighbours would write in the other half and drop off in the letterbox! I'm assuming you wouldn't have to top up any postage?
Let me know if you're interested in doing this with me!

that come with envelopes and can be sent in the mail!
I’m so excited that my Pokemon Winter Sky Holiday greeting cards came in today WITH a matching sticker sheet. They all have my little guy Piplup on them!! 🥹 One of these days I’ll work up the courage to offer these cards to loving Pokemon trainers…
Edit: I got all the greeting cards from the official Pokemon Center website! The Piplup postcards were from Etsy.

not a huge deal! but its made me nervous about sending international post cards. would i need to put an international stamp on those? are postcard stamps useful at all outside of US mail?

With only four more days left in the month of October, I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I finally managed to catch up on posting thanks for my backlog of received mail. I have even had a little bit of time over the last week or two to start working on my birthday offer I posted at the beginning of October. Thank goodness I had a pile of pre-made cards in my card drawer for use as needed as I still have occasionally sent out various cards throughout the month when I could. The only semi-depressing thing is to see how empty my card drawer has become. When I finally get a few days off next week my hope is to look at making some more cards with the various supplies I have on hand to replenish my supply of cards. I have missed it. I also happened to notice my new flair shortly after it was posted only because I got home that evening and happened to open Reddit. Can't believe I have sent that many cards out over the years!

I found this little beat up box at the thrift store....with so many fun cards inside! Mostly Christmas cards, but a bunch of animal ones from a local shelter too.
There was an additional sale at the thrift store, so it ended up being like $2 for ~40 cards. I'm ready for holiday carding!

They thiiiicccc! 5 outgoing. Reppin’ my city! You like my bag?
r/RAoC_meta • u/Ok-Leg-3951 • 1d ago
A whole stack of them (for $1.99)! They’re clearly ad cards, but I’m not sure what for? Maybe they’re samples that were offered up to businesses? The back says they’re from 1994!
Anyway, just wanted to share this unique card find!! 😆😅

Okay so I am officially insane after finishing A Court of Splintered Harmony. INSANE. However, one of my friends suggested I start doing book reviews with a) how quick I read and b) how easily my pattern recognition figures out the plot progression.
I am not one for being a social media personality by no means. I am already very public facing professionally so I know I would get tired very quickly with sharing myself personally, indefinitely.
However, the idea of getting my book musings out of my head and shared is lucrative. I usually have no one to brain dump with until my friends catch up in their reading.
SO, I'm am considering starting to mail my book reviews. Obviously, this means that if you haven't read certain books they would be spoilery - but I assume anyone signing up for that would a) know that or b) hold onto my review until they read the book.
Do you think there would be an appetite for this amongst you my friends?

Some of my incoming mail has a tiny sticker with the sender's user name and sub they're sending from. Others have itty bitty stickers with their name and address - like reeeeally teensy and takes up barely any space on a postcard.
Do you do this and how? Wow, that sounds really dumb, but some of them look like they're actually printed that size and not cut out of a larger label. Oh man, still sounds dumb! Please be kind!

I really love this community and derive so much value/ joy from taking part. But I struggle; in particular when I have made a big holiday offer with a form, I rarely find myself achieving 100% completion (sending a card on time to everyone who signed up).
For those of you who also struggle with executive function, could you share your EASIEST tips to both share the love AND successfully send out a batch of cards?
What I'm imagining right now is getting a stack of cards out, putting stamps and my return address in each one, including a printed message, and THEN making the offer (so I only have to write names & addresses). I'd love to hear your way/ suggestions!

Hey, y'all.
I'm the type of person that responds to requests asking for info, and then I'll forget and immediately go to sleep or nap or go game and come back. So I'll depend on the profiles to remind me what I said I'd send.
I understand and respect privacy, not judging people for using private profiles. At all.
However...
My eyes will close I'll inhale through my mouth and exhale from my nose very hard and go ask awkwardly what I offered to send.

I am sorry I am so behind with my Halloween Cards, expect them over the next 2 weeks. My work wife was dealt a very brutal blow and I’m trying to cover her and my own clients, while training someone to take her place 💔I am emotionally spent and physically exhausted. Just know that doing cards is my “happy place!” So is my home, but I haven’t been here in weeks. I have had to put myself first after this last round at the hospital, and I feel like 💩 for stepping out

Just a little outgoing mail to some users!
r/RAoC_meta • u/toos_ • 1d ago
If you’ve exchanged mail with someone at RAoC (main) through an offer, exchange, or whatever and then you or they send more mail, can I still thank them over at RAoC? I ask because I know it’s a problem when people do TYs at RAoC when the exchange is from a different sub. So I wondered if random thank yous mess anything up for mods or if I can go ahead and thank them as long as it’s an RAoC person. I’m thinking about flair for them - and just generally.
