Is The Final Cut a Roger Waters album?
Animals and The Wall are more and more Roger. But on these two albums I feel the Floyd spirit so much more.

The spam queue today had about 35+ comments and a couple posts. Two posts were spam, and that seemed to be it. So I've decided today I am going to disable the spam bot completely and see how that goes.
This means I will be looking for the community to report posts that absolutely do not belong here. The spam post that I removed was a user posting a link to their podcast, of which they posted to about 20+ other subs, the very definition of spam, and it's not what we want. The other was to something that looked like it could be spammed, and seeing how Reddit admin banned the account, well... I guess that answers that.
Apologies for any frustration...

TL;DR - If you see your post or comment was removed, 95% chance it was due to a bot. Send a modmail to have it looked at.
Some time long ago, there was a brigade from /r/PinkFloydCircleJerk where the sub was being flooded by people that otherwise were not really active in the sub. Also, we tend to get a lot of spam for people wanting to sell garbage and the like, so some of the original mods of this sub decided to set up bots to help protect the sub.
I thought it rather strange that of late, my Friday posts seem to be... very close to each other. I check the mod queue and not a lot of things show up. I click the spam queue... and... like almost every comment and post is in there.
Once Reddit removed the old modmail, I had stopped actively moderating any of the subs I used to frequently moderate. Of late, I have changed my tune and have return to moderating the subs I am a part of.
Due to being active again, I am catching a few of you popping in modmail asking what happened to your post. I let you know the bot pulled it, and generally approve it. At this point, though, I appear to be one of the only active mods of this sub.
Also, while quite a few of the posts and comments are legit, there are still quite a few of you that have confused our sub with /r/PinkFloydCircleJerk. I know there are plenty of you out there that don't like the sub being overtaken with CJ material. I also know a lot of you still are not fans of the extremely low effort posts. I mean... not only is The Dark Side of the Moon not underrated, it is still currently the longest album to be on the Billboard 200 (just 4 weeks away from 1000). I can get how most of the content here being like that is going to turn a lot of people off.
So I do feel it is time to reevaluate exactly what it is we allow here. This is currently our rules as defined by the Reddit reporting system:
Don't expect an exception for rules 1, 2, 3, or 5, 6, or 7. I get sticking with rule 5 may be ironic, especially when you understand the concept behind Animals or The Wall. However, my time on Reddit shows that allowing political posts from random internet strangers requires about 9 moderators that never sleep in order to keep up in the comment section. Some of you can still remain civil, but way too many of you end up violating Rule 1.
So maybe we think about allowing a few more meme, or, maybe we keep it to /r/PinkFloydCircleJerk. Maybe I decide to clip some of the anti-spam measures on the sub, and leave it up to the users to report things that get out of hand.
I am up for any form of civil conversation.

So I love Pink Floyd but realistically I only listen to a few different songs, Time is probably my all time favorite song like ever, but I also listen to another brick in the wall part 2, wish you were here, comfortably numb, and great gig in the sky, I know these are like the main ones people listen to but when I look for other songs in there discography I just don't like them as much as these ones, I like the songs with lyrics mostly and not just the music, and a lot of the other ones I've listened to are mostly just the beat and I want the lyrics because I swear i become like a 5th dimensional being when listening to them, it's crazy, anyway if you guys have recommendations for songs I should give a try let me know, even if there not Pink Floyd and just fit the Pink Floyd vibe don't be afraid to share, yeah idk I'm writing this super sleep deprived so I'm sorry in advance of parts of this make no sense

I'm not sure how hot of a take this is, but I really just don't vibe with this album. Something about the way it sounds just doesn't sit right with me and I feel as if I were around when this album first came out, I would have written off Pink Floyd entirely.
I recently did an entire album listen through, and Saucerful of Secrets was an almost immediate refreshing experience. I feel like Saucerful was the first shift into the sounds we would come to hear in albums like Dark Side and Wish you Were Here.
But I see people always talk about how good Piper is, And I feel like I'm missing something because seemingly everyone but me likes this album.

I found this video a couple of weeks ago and think the storytelling in the video works so well with the song.
There are several other PF songs on the channel. Echoes and Astronomy Domine are pretty cool with more of a psychedelic vibe. And SOYCD was posted a couple of days ago.
I really like this one, because the video actually follows the song. I'll share the link for Dogs in the comments. Unfortunately, I haven't seen Pigs on the channel yet.

Only 3 chords in this song! But they're each so effective in creating it's own mood & world.

Sound quality isn’t the greatest, but pretty cool to here the full live performance.

Is Speak to Me the light beam headed into the triangle on the Dark Side of the Moon cover? Contains samples from other songs on the album and the rest of the album is the rainbow of colors from that beam? So effectively, you listen to the album before listening to the album deconstructed. Apologies if this is surface level Pink Floyd fan knowledge as I am a very surface level Pink Floyd fan. Just trying to see if I’m hot or cold on this one.

Here’s a bootleg CD version of Pink Floyd’s first EP from 1967; honestly, it sounds a lot like other bands from that era like The Monkees, but it already possesses a distinct, psychedelic identity in the style of Barrett.

at the seven second mark the video cuts to a scene from the movie, from ABITW2. but the scene is in HD. it looks a lot better and higher quality than my dvd quality and the youtube video itself is 4K so i think it's safe to say the footage they used is at least HD.
since they used it, does that mean maybe they might be releasing an official HD version of the movie sometime soon? or at least have an HD master with them?
though it also does look a lot like the Spanish unofficial bluray release, but then it would be a bit questionable, them using an unofficial/bootleg release of the film for the trailer..

I watched a movie recently and can't remember the name of it but I do remember it had a cover of Comfortably Numb by Chris Squire, Billy Sherwood and Conspiracy in it. I think it was an indie movie if that helps. Any ideas? I thought it might be 1988s miracle Mile but that soundtrack is by Tangerine Dream.

I noticed this eight-disc box set in a store and bought it, but because it doesn't have a UPC code, I can't figure out if it's official or unofficial. I also can't find anything just like it on Discogs.
Here are a few photos. Thanks for any information.
