Has anyone else been receiving emails from Petwatch or petco or any of their similar sites/companies? I've had a bunch from these two specifically over the past 2 days and have no new microchipped pets nor any affiliation with either company.

Their emails usually mention something about the Microchip or a subscription to the website itself or something- the latest one that tipped me off it is probably phishing is the email said a pet called Gracie Lee Goatee's microchip was ready and my email needed verified for the account

I’ve looked at a couple posts and know that they changed the reward system - the consensus being the new system is worse.

My question is as someone who would be new to the program, is it still a good deal?

I have two kittens for reference. It sounds like $10 a month which means I’d just have to spend $100 per month of food..? Which i definitely do and that’s not including litter to. And if it’s per cat, that’d still be $200 a month on food so it really doesn’t sound bad.

But maybe the catch is being forced to shop at petco? I’m a new pet owner so not really sure if there are better deals out there.

Can I use normal store brand clumping clay in a petpivot, or does it get gummy in the rake? I'm trying to avoid any machine that locks me into special litter. My current clay clumps well, but it can turn into paste if it sticks to the bottom of the pan. That sounds miserable to scrape out of a track. If regular clumping litter works for you, which kind has been the least sticky in an automatic box?

For those who are thinking about trying to find a better job, don't give up hope. I've been with Petco for almost 8 years before I finally left for the final time. I knew I wouldn't be back so I threw away my name tag and shirts. It took me 2 months after I left, but I finally found a job different than Petco. It's seasonal sadly, but there's a good chance I can come back. I also just got offered a job as a venue coordinator. No application or interview. I've been working and communicating a lot with the parking supervisor (her regular job outside of the event happening is events director). My mental health at Petco was running about 10% and now it's up to 100%. I believe in you!

All chain pet stores are terrible but when u have 6 animals it’s hard to not find them useful; i saw these poor babies today at Petco and immediately asked to talk to the manager who couldn’t even tell me the size of cage they were in. I counted 7, 3 of which were missing tails, and i could guess they were in a 5-10gal size terrarium. This is terrible and disgusting. Petco do better.
