Where to find a last-minute Halloween costume for a toddler?
Hi everyone! We just got back from a long trip, and I’m looking for a Halloween costume for my 20-month-old to wear this Friday. Does anyone know of any stores or Halloween pop-ups in or around Pasadena that still have a good selection of toddler costumes?
Thanks for any suggestions!

Pediatric allergist rec
My baby had mild eczema, but since starting solids, it has started to flare up. He had been a great sleeper and now often wakes up scratching himself. It’s heartbreaking to see.
What should be a fun stage in his life has been quite stressful! I’m looking for an allergist with a pediatric background. I tried CHLA but they are booked out for months. Wondering if anyone has dealt with something similar and has a recommendation?
We saw an allergist but didn’t have a great experience. The appointment felt rushed and we didn’t feel like the dr clearly explained anything to us or adequately address the complexity of how eczema factors into this situation.
Appreciate any help. Thanks!

MEASURE H REPEAL FOR MARCH 2028 BALLOT FAILS TO QUALIFY
Reposted due to rules for links and donations in the original email. This was sent via email to our PTU list in the wider community I know people have had questions about this.
BREAKING NEWS
Pasadena Housing Providers Petition Does Not Qualify for the Ballot
Pasadena Tenants Union has learned that the signature gathering effort recently undertaken by a group of landlords calling themselves “Pasadena Housing Providers” (PHP) was declared insufficient by the LA County Registrar’s office. This comes as a huge relief to tenants and others in Pasadena who have been angered by a campaign of deception waged by PHP.
What we know so far is that they fell 135 signatures short of their goal of 13,743 valid signatures. The word “valid” is crucial. For a signature to be valid many things must be true, such as, the person must be a registered voter in the City of Pasadena at the address they wrote on the petition. Their signature must also match the one in the County’s voter file. These rules are there to protect the integrity of the process; to make sure only Pasadena’s registered voters place measures on the Pasadena ballot.
What is shocking is that the campaign collected a total of 28,214 signatures and only 48% of their signatures were valid. (For comparison, the Measure H campaign had a 73% validity rate). An astonishing 4,000 signatures were from unregistered individuals. An additional 3,200 were registered to vote, but outside Pasadena.
This is a huge victory for Pasadena residents who are committed to protecting the housing security of our neighbors. The Pasadena Tenants Union mobilized our members to turn out at the locations where petition circulators were gathering signatures to warn passers by about the deceptive tactics and encourage them to be clear about what the petition actually said before signing. We also encouraged people who regretted signing to remove their signature under the California Election code. Fifty-three people did that. Without a doubt, the work of PTU members made the difference!
However the struggle to secure our housing is not over. The leaders of PHP have said they are working with an election attorney to “verify every single valid signature.” While it is not clear what that means, they are considering some kind of legal action to challenge the County’s determination. They could also try again to gather enough valid signatures.
Either way, we need to remain vigilant

Magic: The Gathering night at Mt. Lowe Brewing Co. in Arcadia Monday November 2nd.
We're back again for another night of magic (the gathering kind), drinks (the alcoholic and nonalcoholic kind), and vibes (the chill kind).
Bring your decks and a cool attitude. There'll be a vendor on site with delicious grub but you're welcome to grab some In N Out around the corner on the way in.
Support and thank our hosts by grabbing one of their tasty brews at the bar while you're here. And as always, a big thank you to the Game Cellar for the support.
Hope to see peoples there!

Doo Dah Parade
This will be my family's first time attending; we just moved into the area and we are doing our best to attend as many events as we can. We just did the dia de los muertos at Paseo and Doo Dah Parade is on our calendar.
Can anyone give insight on what is the best approach for this Parade and if there's any other event we should keep an eye out for?
Should we bring tortillas to the parade!?

Gyukatsu recommendations?
Went to Japan during the summer for the first time with the children and the one meal they keep on talking about was the Gyukatsu. There used to be a place near Main and Atlantic in Alhambra but it closed recently. If anyone knows a good spot please share.

Personal trainer recommendations?
I have never set foot inside a gym in my entire life. I do cardio on my own (running) but I'd like to do some weights. I don't have a gym membership but I could get one.
Any recommendations for a trainer who will teach me the proper way to lift without injuring myself? I guess I need help for only few months until I can do it by myself. I prefer to workout alone.

Looking for property management company recommendations.
I'm looking for a property management company to manage a 2-bedroom condo in Pasadena. I've basically been ignored by the few companies I've contacted so far, which makes me wonder how responsive they'll be as managers. If you're working with a property management company you love, I'd appreciate your recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

Orthopedic Surgeon Shoulder
Anyone highly recommend a particular orthopedic surgeon for shoulder surgeries in the area? Im looking for someone who not only is a great surgeon but also takes the time to talk through my options, i.e., not the typical guy who makes me wait 2 hours and then spends 3 minutes with me before running off.
