Kah appreciation post. The Mercury record does not reflect who Kah is as a player or what she has contributed to the game of basketball. Kah is HER. Kah is LIKE THAT! She’s an elite player, she’s still got it, and she still has a lot to give to women’s basketball. Put some respect on her name! Can’t wait to see her play out the rest of this season and play in the World Cup. Let’s go Copper!

Hi Mercury fans --

I'm going to my first Mercury home game next week. I'm a Valkyries fan and I love the fan culture of going to games in person -- the pregame rituals, the response to 3s and free throws, the personalities/quirks of the emcee/mascots, etc. After watching the games on television, I can tell there's a lot of energy and I'm excited to soon take part in it. (I am also partial to Scorch and his antics. Fuego kind of scares me though.)

I love how each fanbase is unique. So my question is -- what do I need to know in terms of chants and fan participation during games? For those that show up early, are there specific things I can look forward to? (For example at Valkyries games there's a fun bit for the "Early Birds" with our mascot because she's a bird.)

I want to make sure I do it right when I join you all in Phoenix. Thank you!

MIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHTY MERCURY

Arrived just in time…

Did anyone else catch the new name of the Courtyard on Ticketmaster? I wonder if they accidentally spoiled a PR announcement or if it’s an unofficial rename from Ticketmaster. I didn’t see any media related to it.

I went to a mercury event at their practice facility tonight, and for the first time ever, I’m a season ticket holder! We got fantastic seats in a corner section, and I am so hyped for the new season!

My partner kept asking if we really needed to keep the rally towels so I was convinced to find something fun to do with them!

Description: The Mercury just went to the WNBA Finals, returned two thirds of the core of that group, and somehow STILL feel like an afterthought in a lot of national conversations heading into 2026.

Phoenix already showed flashes during preseason play, but the biggest thing people continue to underestimate is the impact Alyssa Thomas has on winning. And when you pair that with continuing to pressure defenses downhill and Phoenix having more lineup versatility than people give them credit for, it’s hard to understand why this team keeps getting counted out. Today we’re talking about why the Mercury still don’t seem to get the respect they deserve, why Alyssa Thomas remains one of the most impactful players in basketball, how Kahleah Copper raises the ceiling of this team, and why Phoenix might be getting overlooked AGAIN heading into the 2026 WNBA season.

My tortoise, Cheeseburger, is out exploring his domain. Go, Merc!

Description: Phoenix Mercury are 1-1 to open the season, but the context around that start matters. The Mercury open the year with the second-hardest opening schedule in the WNBA, including the team’s only back-to-back of the entire season, and still showed flashes of what this group can become.

Erika, Stephen and Girl break down the Mercury’s ugly first half against the Valkyries, the second-half comeback attempt that cut the game to one possession, and why there are still plenty of encouraging signs despite the loss.

Plus, Alyssa Thomas continues to drive nearly everything offensively for Phoenix, Jovana Nogic stays red-hot from three, and the Mercury still haven’t fully unlocked the best version of Kahleah Copper yet.

The Mercury home opener is next, and Phoenix still looks like a team with another level waiting to be unlocked.

Welcome to PHNX Mercury, where we make it more fun to be a Mercury fan!

Hope Phee is ok but wow what an ending to the game. The energy in Phx arena was better than a Suns game.

MIGHTY MERCURY!
