We are searching for a final member to top off the band, a lead guitarist. Major experience and expensive gear are NOT required. We're looking for someone with intermediate skills and will be willing to commit and contribute to long-term goals and development.

If anyone may be interested or knows someone who may be interested, please respond to this post, dm me, or share this post

This is only the beginning 🤘🏻

Hey Northshore folks!

If you're looking for something to do tomorrow night that doesn't involve driving across the Causeway, we've got you covered.

We're bringing another night of live stand-up comedy to Ruby's Roadhouse in Old Mandeville tomorrow, October 28, for our Halloween show!

Our first show back in August brought out over 90 people, and we're hoping to keep that momentum going. There's a lot of great comedy happening on this side of the lake lately, and we're trying to build something that gives Northshore folks more options for a fun night out close to home.

We've got a lineup of local comedians, costumes are welcome, and we're celebrating my co-producer Keegan O'Connell's birthday.

And yes, that's my dog Fozzy dressed as a ghost on the poster. He's doing more promotional work than most of the comedians.

The details:

📍 Ruby's Roadhouse – 840 Lamarque St., Mandeville

📅 Tomorrow, October 28

🚪 Doors at 7:30 PM

🎤 Comedy starts at 8 PM

💵 $10 at the door (cash or Venmo)

🎃 Costumes welcome, but definitely not required.

Seating is limited, so get there a little early, grab a drink, and hang out.

I'm a local comedian who's been putting on shows around the Northshore for years, and I really believe we can build a great little comedy scene right here without everybody having to head into New Orleans.

Hope to see some of y'all out there!

Live comedy. Dead serious.

Hi! I’m moving from New Orleans La to Covington LA and needs some recommendations and hidden gems out here. I only know about the English tea room. What are some of the best places for breakfast, dinner, coffee and loaded tea places! Feel free to give me other places to check out even if it’s not food related, thanks yall:) #covingtonla #northshorela

Hey everyone! For one of my classes, my group is working on a campaign for Tundaminous, a show created by The Cajun Nerd Media Experiment!

We're conducting a short survey to learn more about what people enjoy watching, what catches their attention, and what makes them interested in a show.

Whether you've heard of Tundaminous or not, we'd really appreciate your feedback! It only takes a few minutes, and your responses will help us with our campaign.

Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to fill it out!

Title.

Is anyone else not getting packages delivered? I have like 3 packages I’m waiting on and all tracking info says is that they were scanned at carrier facility in New Orleans on Oct 13 and no other updates.

Does anyone know of any good weekend volunteer opportunities in the Mandeville/Covington area? I am looking for a few hours on the weekends on a recurrent basis.

I've been living in New Orleans for almost a decade, and am considering buying a townhome in Mandeville right by causeway approach. I work at a university uptown and have to drive in 4 days a week. I'm single, mid 40s, and more into things like running/nature/reading than partying these days, but I do worry about finding a solid community on the Northshore cause it seems like everyone is married with kids.

Thoughts about this commute or ways to find community? Would love input from anyone out there in a similar situation.

Anybody know of a good mua available on halloween night? Would be for a bruised/beat up look, just the face.

If you’re looking for something to do tonight in Mandeville, we’re putting on Funny @ the Funk at Chafunkta Brewing Company. It’s a gorgeous night to get out of the house, grab a beer, and catch some live stand-up!

I’m hosting, with sets from Michael Jennings, Joseph Tolpi, Jennifer Turbo, and Thomas Jones.

Show starts at 7:30 PM.
Admission is $10 cash or Venmo at the door.
Ages 18+.

Our power grid is out 3x longer than Florida's, even excluding hurricanes. Why? Because the PSC was asked to set utility pole standards in 2019 and never adopted a single one. Companies profit off building new stuff, not maintaining the old.

As a former LPSC consultant, I built Service My Pole to fight back!

Upload a photo, get a 1-10 score, and put the worst poles on the public leaderboard.

I'm Chris Justin, the no party engineer running for Public Service Commissioner. Vote number 48 on your ballot. Early voting runs Oct 20-27, and Election Day is Nov 3.

My parents need help learning how to use their iMac and macbook computers. I'm talking basic stuff like switching between applications, saving and finding files in the file system, resizing windows, etc. I try to help them over the phone but it's like pulling teeth.

Anyone here know someone who does this kind of work? They're in Covington.

They are offering a 50 dollar lifetime lockin 50$ for a gig. Then googling and I see some people say the speeds are wildly inconsistent.

I’m looking for an airway focused dentist to get a second opinion for my kids.

We have a few “holistic” and “biological” dentist but I haven’t found anyone around here that is covering the link between airway size, pallet, teeth spacing, sleep quality, etc.

Bonus points if they have a working relation ship with an ENT in the area.
