User Poll r/NCAAW 2025-26 Top 25 Poll - Week 19

Post image
14 Upvotes

We've got a lot of jumping around amongst the top 10 after this past week. UConn still held on to most #1 votes, but UCLA compiled more points and are now #1 for the first time all season. Notre Dame has moved back into the poll at #22, knocking Georgia from amongst the ranked.

Here are this past week’s winners :

  • Duke (70-65 OT) - u/neptunetheemystic (71-65), off by ONLY 1 POINT!
  • UCLA (96-45) - u/Zloggt (75-59), off by 35 points.
  • West Virginia (62-53) - u/mgjohnson40 (72-68), off by 25 points.
  • Texas (78-61) - u/justanother_0 (72-68), off by 13 points.

Wanted to do a poll but didn't have enought time,So obviously Vegas has UConn winning, but from the sports analyst I have heard both. But I want to hear from you guys who do you think will win? Not who you hope will win.

Please upvote either SC or UConn do not downvote if you don't think they won't win

User Poll 2026-27 NCAAW Mid-Major+ User Poll Ballot: Preseason (Week 1) plus 2025-26 final poll ballot, resources and useful links

This is not the main NCAAW user poll ballot, for that go here. The link to vote for this poll is at the bottom.

All teams excluding those from the ACC, B10, B12, BE & SEC are eligible for this poll. Note: As with the last season Oregon St and Washington St are still included. The rest of the new Pac-12 is also eligible

The "+" in this poll's name is a nod to the varied usage of the term "mid-major", as there are teams in this poll sometimes discussed as outliers, high or low majors etc. and the scope of this poll includes ALL teams outside of the 5 conferences mentioned above. Mid-Major is not an official term used by the NCAA and is not interpreted the same by all. The primary purpose of this poll is for starting conversations about the teams themselves, not the concept of a mid-major. Remember have fun and be courteous to others!

Staying with top 20 team rankings for now (same as last season) is the plan.

Ranking teams in conferences with less media coverage in the preseason is a unique challenge. The information is not always fully available on transfers, recruits, injuries and eligibility. We do the best with what we have. Just be ready to scrap your preseason prognostications once game results start rolling in, and don’t get too attached to your predictions.

This poll utilizes a drop down menu that abbreviates many teams with geographic/compass directions. For example: C. Arkansas for Central Arkansas & W. Carolina for Western Carolina. Some teams won't have these abbreviations and a small number of team names may vary on different websites compared to the ballot list, but hopefully it should be pretty straightforward. If there are any errors with names or name changes that haven't updated properly, I always try to make corrections on my posts if teams make the poll. Otherwise if there’s any confusion at all about the drop down menu or if you can't find a team, please feel free to contact me by asking on the ballot post or try reddit chat.

Expect for the foreseeable future this will be free to all voters, no application required, just like the main NCAAW user poll. User names are required for submitting ballots, in case any follow up is required, but ballots will be anonymous and not shared with the results for the time being.

I don’t anticipate there to be many voters here that don’t already participate in the main NCAAW user poll. However, if this would be the first poll for any voters and you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments section.

Barttorvik preseason rankings:

Note I am not certain the formula used for Barttorvik's preseason women's rankings and to what degree it is limited to prior season data based on returning players (freshman appear missing as of now on rosters, and it shows this season's sophomores still listed as freshman) https://barttorvik.com/ncaaw/trank.php?year=2027&sort=&hteam=&t2value=&conlimit=mid&state=All&begin=20261015&end=20270501&top=0&revquad=0&quad=5&venue=All&type=All&mingames=0#

Data on T-rank has been added back to 2020-21. This also allows you to sort rankings by data across seasons (or you can do partial seasons), using the "start" and "end" filters. Here are the rankings of eligible teams based on Barttorvik's algorithms from 2020-21 through the most recent season:

https://barttorvik.com/ncaaw/?year=2026&sort=&hteam=&t2value=&conlimit=mid&state=All&begin=20201101&end=20261001&top=0&revquad=0&quad=5&venue=All&type=All&mingames=0#

By clicking on team pages you can view also rosters on barttorvik, excluding freshman I believe, with stats from their most recent season played (on the preseason 2027 page). By clicking on players you can also see their previous seasons and team histories.

For transfer information, this may not be an exhaustive list of resources, but here are a few options:

Not much has changed at the top. LSU and Michigan flip flop at #5 and #6, as do Maryland and Iowa State at #8 and #9. Nebraska, Texas Tech, and Michigan State all make big jumps of five spots. Tennessee and Baylor fall, but barely hang on to their Top 25 rankings. Ten of the remaining twelve undefeated teams are now in the rankings, with Georgia and Arizona State still outside.

It's the unveiling of the r/NCAAW Top 25 Poll for week 5! Very interesting battle at the top as UConn remains at #1 by just three points over Texas after their huge week with wins over #2 UCLA and #3 South Carolina. Texas is now at #2, flipping with UCLA, now at #4. We had a couple other flips with Iowa State and Oklahoma at #9 and #10, and North Carolina and Kentucky, at #12 and #13. Ohio State has also climbed into the rankings this week at #25 after their big win over former #17 West Virginia in the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship.

Here are this past week's winners:

  • Texas 76-65 - u/TallLatvianLad (77-67), only 3 points off.
  • South Carolina 83-66 - u/PSUMediaPA (84-72), 7 points off.
  • Maryland 74-66 - u/jeedel (75-68), only 3 points off.
  • North Carolina 83-48 - unknown (90-60), 19 points off.

It's that time for another unveiling! Our top five teams remain unchanged, but that's where it stops. Louisville and Michigan flip flop with Vanderbilt and Iowa in the 6 through 9 slots. Tennessee and Maryland both drop six spots, while North Carolina and NC State are back in.

Well, the top 5 stays the same yet again! Duke has dropped all the way out of the poll and Notre Dame just barely held on. Minnesota has become a new addition to the poll, but that may very well be short-lived, seeing as though they lost at Kansas last night.

Well. the results are in from another crazy week! We now have a unanimous #1 after LSU's big win over Texas this past week drops the Longhorns to #4. We had four teams knocked from the rankings as Alabama, Princeton, West Virginia, and Duke are all back in the Top 25. Iowa State, however, still hangs on at #23. With a current 3-game losing streak, they've dropped 13 spots in the past two weeks as they hope to get healthy soon.

Here are this past week’s winners :

  • Notre Dame (73-50) - u/Atomicbrunett3 (71-68), off by 20 points.
  • LSU (70-65) - u/neptunetheemystic (74-72), off by 11 points.
  • Ohio State (89-76) - u/ahcckm (80-76), off by 9 points.

Here's the latest version of the r/NCAAW Top 25 Poll! With five losses in a row, Iowa State is now out of the top 25. They've fittingly been replaced by Oklahoma State, who just boat raced them on national TV this past Sunday. Other big drops this week were Kentucky to #12, Oklahoma to #16, and Texas Tech to #18, who just suffered their first loss of the season.

Here are this past week’s winners :

  • South Carolina (68-65) - u/bp9009 (68-64), OFF BY ONLY 1 POINT!
  • Michigan State (73-71) - u/DiligentQuiet (77-69) and u/BP9009 (74-66), both off by 6 points.
  • LSU (91-72) - u/Lumpita_1 (87-71), off by 5 points.
  • UCLA (97-67) - u/MatthewZ (89-68), off by 9 points.
