Can we please get the option to adjust the "related posts" under the comments?

Some of the subreddits which are being recommended in the "related posts" in our sub are literally in our Hive-protect watchlist because they are frequented by creeps and perverts.

Which means posts from our sub are also being recommended in their comments in the "related posts". It is not a coincidence that women who had made posts in our sub months ago are now suddenly getting inappropriate comments and DMs and are deleting their posts as a result.

As mods we can monitor and clean up the comments on recent posts, because we expect high traffic there. But showing months old posts in the comments of communities whose users have a history of harassing members of my subs is counterproductive.

Can we at least get different options to calibrate this feature? For eg:

  1. Disable all related posts

  2. Disable related posts from certain subreddits

  3. Allow related posts from the same subreddit only

  4. Allow related posts from all of Reddit

  5. Disable your community from showing up in "related posts" (Similar to the "Let Reddit recommend your community to people who have similar interests" setting we already have)

Option 3 in particular would be very very useful for our sub, because we get a lot of new users who post frequently asked questions without searching the sub first. Related posts will direct them to posts where similar discussions have already taken place.

ETA: Option 5.

The most logical fix would be to tie it to the community list widget(s) you can add to subreddits.

If the community list widget doesn't include a subreddit, it doesn't get recommended. And if a subreddit doesn't have the widget at all, no recommendations.

But that makes too much sense and wouldn't generate activity or revenue so 🤷

I'd rather see it turned off entirely, or only hitting truly recent posts, or aged out locked posts. The number of random zombie comments that are showing up now is wild. Maybe the person they're replying to will respond, but realistically it's just suggesting posts for spammers to comment on when the community is no longer engaged and the mods aren't watching anymore.

Like hidden profiles, the intent is good, but it's mostly used by bad actors to hurt the site.

This is one reason why most of my subs have archive posts enabled and use auto lock bot to lock the posts several months earlier.

Yes please, there are definitely inappropriate subs showing up under my community's posts displaying suggestive images that absolutely would not be allowed there.

We have this problem as well, some subs have active brigading users and we get them recommended and they in turn us, it´s turning moderating into a nightmare if we can´t at least not put those up and center, why not make the communityt widgets with the suggested options removable or at least editable to avoid this?
