Not sure if this counts as a "low makeup", "natural", or "soft glam" look but I was especially proud of how this one turned out.

everyone and there mom loves these products and I do not…and don’t understand that hype. don’t come for me if this is your fave.
rhode pocket blush - patchy, annoying to blend, not long wearing (after 5 min it disappears)
huda beauty powder - the fragrance gives me allergies, looks dry and cakey and breaks me out
one size setting spray - I’m not sure if the minis are defective cause I have mini. but it rlly does nothing
haus labs foundation - emphasized all of my acne and textures and broke me out
Mario powder bronzer - worst breakouts ever, not pigmented, very boring formula
tower 28 setting powder - doesn’t set, doesn’t prevent oil, feels and looks like chalk, packaging is sooo cheap the drugstore would never
summer Fridays balm - doesn’t hydrate lips, have to reapply a bunch, gets grainy (aquaphor would never betray me like this)
Natasha denona high glam concealer - worst concealer ever. It creases, irritates my under eyes, doesn’t last longer than 1 hour on skin. Looks patchy dry like everything I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

i decided to order the colorgram aegyo sal pen, not for contouring my eye bags but to contour my nose! i think the shade fits me well, and i find it so much easier to control than using a brush with powder contour. i still go over everything with the powder contour and highlight to blend and set everything, but i think it was a good addition to my collection :) same for this gradient eyeshadow single from noiricorn, it’s so beautiful!
also this is probably a very unpopular opinion, but i personally cannot stand the exaggerated aegyo sal contour that’s making its way to the states. it just looks uncanny and disturbing to me 😭 i know the purpose is to mimic the eye bags that children have make you look younger, but i really do hate the effect and don’t understand the appeal at all 🫠

I really like this NYX eyeliner, but I cannot sharpen it. It seems like it’s made of plastic and my sharpener cannot handle the thickness of this. Am I doing something wrong? I had my partner come in and crank on it, to finally get somewhere with sharpening but they aren’t always around and it seems frustratingly complicated….or maybe it’s just me. Am I missing something?

I posted a couple days ago about looking for green marble for sale in LA and was pointed to Frends beauty in valley village. They were AMAZING. The store is MASSIVE, about 25% standard cosmetics like a sally beauty and 75% pro, theatrical and SFX. The stock/selection of not only pro cosmetics but hair stuff was MASSIVE, and the staff were SO NICE. They were so nice and helpful, helped me find stuff, had lovely attitudes and did not ask for a license of any kind. If you live in or are visiting LA check them out.

Hi
Im looking for a true burgundy lipstick without purple hues and a mauve in neutral colors?
The one I’m wearing here is MAC diva without lippencil in outdoor daylight.
I know im cool- neutral fair skin with a hint of olive.
Most of the shades either too orange, purple or too greyish.
For instance modesty and blankety colors look like a corpse lip and too fair. I think the reason because my lips also satured a bit.
Im open for any recommendations
Note; lastly tried CT pillow talk and pillow talk fair. Both are failed as they turned orange.. Mac sin also was a fail with too much purple..

I want to find those that have this kind of color story without being too pricey.
I notice most of the metallic palettes I can find in the market usually fall under this fourth pic, i want the look which is a little wet, like the previous ones.
Any recommendations?
I prefer a full palette instead of buying singles more.

My wife’s birthday is coming up, and I’d love to get her a high-end eyeliner as a gift.
Her longtime holy grail was Stila Stay All Day, but her latest one transfers onto her upper eyelids like crazy. Not sure if they changed the formula, but she’s given up on it. Funny enough, her €3 eyeliner performs better, even if the pigment isn’t as intense. 😅
I’d love to find her something with intense black pigment, waterproof, a precise applicator (similar to Stilla), and most importantly, zero transfer!
I’m considering:
What’s your tried-and-tested favorite?

Hey y'all
I really would like to nail a halo eye, but I feel like something about them just doesn't click for me technique wise.
I decided to use Halloween as an excuse to turn out one with super dramatic colors so I can really see my technique and where I'm going wrong.
Here is my general process for this makeup:
- base as usual, however my base is usually white and in this case I decided to sketch out the Gen shape of the halo by using my nyx jumbo black bean pencil as the base for the black and milk as the base for the orange.
- once the bases are down, I started packing on color in the general shape
- once the color was packed down I tried lightly blending the seams with a clean blending brush and my finger, shaping and applying more color as needed
But I think something is wrong both with the shaping of my segments and clearly with pigment placement/packing.
I don't do too many super high chroma super high saturation eye looks so def part of the issue is that I dont know how to lay down STARK colors just yet.
Anyway would love feedback! Hopefully the photos are okay, I have to zoom and crop them for privacy purposes but I tried to make them as clear as possible. I know my right eye is harder to see in the more closed position but my left eye was the better one anyway lmao

I use this blush in dolce vita and the Natasha Denona berry pop blush trio thing literally every day.
unfortunately both are being discontinued, I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I’m going to buy this but what do I do after it’s gone </3
I already bought a new blush (saie in chilly) but not obsessed like I have been with the nars.
Just wondering if anyone here uses the same stuff and has found a shade replacement!!!
Xoxo thanks guys.

lol the lashes were pretty hard to work with but I thought it came out kinda cute 👻
I try to do some kind of Halloween themed eye look every year. I’ve tried doing full face paint and stuff before but it never looks right.

Pictures after wearing for 8 hours today. The. mascara and eyeliner are a both waterproof.
Also pictured, the products I use.
Im a 39F Everytime I use any brand waterproof makeup, specifically eyeliner and mascara. They pope end up at the bottom lids by the end of the day. I'm not sure if just my bottom lids are too oily. Because it seems like my face is only oily around the eyes, and maybe that's why the transfer happens. And if it is the reason that's fine, I don't know a way to remedy it. So hopefully I can get some advice on here.
Also, as i'm getting older, i'm noticing my makeup becoming more cakey, and these are the products that I use, and i'm not quite sure why it keeps on bing chaky and won a good brand would be because i'm getting married and less than six months, and doing my own makeup. And am willing to pay, have the makeup store for good makeup that will last
