So basically Jon retired after the Miocic fight and the UFC spent half a year pretending otherwise. What a colossal waste of time.

"I will retire Jon Jones without even fighting him" - Tom Aspinall

Fucking finally

[u/afewspicybois]

Fuck Dana and Jon for making big Tom wait this long, what a joke

[u/robedpillow3761]

Good riddance. This should have happened months ago but at least it’s finally over. So sick of hearing about Jon and hoping he disappears into obscurity.

ANNOUNCED IT AFTER “UFC BAKU” LMAO

[u/cGilday]

Jones career ended in a post fight press conference barely anyone is watching in Baku, beautiful

I hope he continues to get asked about Tom whenever he’s in public

[u/NJBR10]

what a pathetic way to end your career, mf wasted a solid year of aspinall's prime just to fizzle out into nothingness and run out the door with his tail between his legs. Now let's get Tom on ufc 319 please

[u/LatterTarget7]

Surprised it wasn’t announced during the broadcast. Weird way to go out.
