Got a few requests about gear list, so figured I would show off my setup a bit and what's in it.
The base is a condor slim battle belt, with a surplus Blackhawk H-harness. If I could do it again, I would probably go with a wider belt with more padding, but I'm going to run this until the wheels fall off.
Support side:
Shooting gloves on cheap molle hook adapter
3x condor universal mag pouches, each with 2 pmags
Condor water bottle pouch, can hold 1L nalgene with flap closed or 1.5L open top style
Rear:
2x Blackhawk S.T.R.I.K.E large upright GP pouches, plce-ish style
The left contains a field stripped MRE, MRE heater, canteen cup and stove, fire kit with fuel tabs, small amount of duct tape, brew kit with tea/coffee/electrolytes, spork, camp soap, and misc snacks leftover from wildland fire season lunches
The right holds weatherized spare socks/underwear/fleece watch cap, bug repellent lotion, toilet paper, and walker razor slim ear pro
Strong side:
Condor water bottle pouch, can hold 1L nalgene with flap closed or 1.5L open top style
Condor small EMT pouch IFAK containing moleskin, ibuprofen, burn cream, antiseptic, gloves, 3x zipper laceration closures, roller gauze, compressed gauze, 2x chest seals, NPA and associated lube
Condor small utility pouch for GP storage with waterproof notebook, pilot g2 pen, folding buck knife, compass, headlamp, rangefinder
Cheapo Amazon TQ pouch with trauma shears and NAR CAT7 TQ.
Yaesu ft-65r gets clipped to my support side shoulder D-ring on the H-harness
Overall this gear has been super versatile, I've used iterations of it all summer hiking while I've been figuring out what works and doesn't, and the condor gear has been of acceptable quality and feels as though it will hold up. Done great so far with about 60 miles of use.
Fully loaded with ammo this rig is probably 20-25lb, but without the mags it gets significantly lighter, and leaves pouches open for GP storage in the mag pouches so I can put my g26 in the small utility pouch for more populated trails where a large dude with a rifle might scare some of the normies. Highly recommend the belt kit LBE as a great carriage system over a chest rig for backwoods kit.
