Advice on opening Oct score at work

For my full-timers, do you recommend waiting until lunch break or getting home? Or should I just bite the bullet and look at it at 9am? I don’t know how I will react but I think I’m unfortunately expecting a disappointing score. So, if anyone has ever been in this situation, I would appreciate your advice.

LETS GO

Got my argumentative writing done finally. Hopefully they review it and release my lsat score tomorrow. Who else is stoked? Idk how I feel about my LSAT performance, but I've let go of any anxiety attached with it atp

No 180 for me

It let me select my November appointment time slot. So I guess I didn’t score a 180 in October. 🤷‍♀️

I want to hear people’s lsat hopecore stories

I felt good leaving the test but this is my third time taking it and honestly after the last two score releases a low score is never out of the question. I just want to hear happy score release stories so I can feel good while I wait.

Hi guys, is there an affordable tutor that you guys know of? I'm stuck in the mid 150s and need something or someone to help me push past it.

for anyone else struggling with this test you’re not alone

trying to keep myself busy so i don’t spiral waiting for my october score, so i figured I’d share this here. october was my third lsat. i got a 146 and a 149 last year and honestly, i was pretty devastated. english is my second language and this whole process has been rough.

i took a three-month break to figure out whether i still wanted to go to law school and put myself through this test again. started studying again in february, worked through more prep materials and did a ton of drills. pretty sure i cried almost every week lol. whenever my period hit i’d give myself two or three days off.

i kept pushing my test date back. first june, then august. then i canceled august because i still didn’t feel ready. i came really close to giving up. more crying. somewhere along the way i started letting this test convince me i was useless. but i did end up taking october.

the testing situation wasn’t great. there was this constant noise and they wouldn’t let me switch seats. i think it threw me off during the first lr section. but I got through every rc passage and every lr question. i even had five minutes left for the last two questions in the second lr section and rc didn’t feel as difficult as i’d expected.

obviously i have no idea what my score is yet. but i think i deserve to be proud of myself. i kept coming back even when i felt discouraged and wanted to quit. that has to count for something! whatever score i get i’m going to try to accept it without letting it erase all the work i put in.

good luck to everyone. if you’ve been struggling too i hope this makes you feel a little less alone :)

Quitting cannabis

I am in a legal state with a med card. I use my prescription as instructed, for a serious health condition, daily. But while it’s effective, it’s slowing down my brain. I have to stop using it because I can tell that it’s hindering my learning and working memory. Has anyone else had to drop cannabis and white knuckle through health issues? How did you manage that? And the anxiety? I was fine all through undergrad using it for the most part, but the LSAT is on a different level and I am sure it will not be helpful during law school. I’m worried about the cognitive withdrawals and the time it’ll take to clear my brain. Not to mention the original health condition on top of that. It’s stressing me out. 😭 Today is day 1.

Spent 30 minutes trying every possible method to fixing this, nothing works. POS prometric

UPDATE: Supposedly a website-wide crash, multiple users report same issue. I was just able to get a confirmation by having multiple tabs open scheduling it. Took me roughly 10 tries. Hopefully everyone else reading this was able to get the time slot they needed

What is taking the actual LSAT like?

I was reading about the updates for the LSAT past August 2027 and I realized I know basically nothing about what the testing experience is like. I know you get a break, but what is that break like? What do the testing centers look like (I'm talking specifics, what are the chairs like and how close do you sit to people)? Do you bring your own computer, or do they give you computers? If you've taken the test, give me literally every detail you can (not about the test, obviously, but the experience)

Registration hold for 180s

Do all registration hold for 180s typically go into effect around the same time? Starting to see a few posts about them and wondering if that means I can log off LSAC for the day.

Registration hold updates/stories

I saw just now a registration hold but no score hold...any stories of someone who had a registration hold the day before but did NOT get a 180? Trying to tamp down the delusion bc there's no way...

Google says there is a chance it could just be a glitch, are there stories on reddit of that happening

8am testing time

I just scheduled for November and the only times available at my location were at 8am. I’m so irritated ugh. Anyone have tips for doing well on exam day? I already had severe anxiety before and I think this may add to it

Alternatives to 7Sage for RC?

Hi. I studied with 7Sage for a while and got a 167 which is good for sure but not quite what I want. I found their stuff on LR to be fantastic and am able to pretty consistently get -1/-0 on LR Sections. Most to all of the points I'll miss on a given test are RC and I feel like the 7Sage RC method just isn't clicking for me personally. I find I'm missing a lot of stated questions and am almost never missing questions that ask me to reason with the concepts in a given passage(strengthen/weaken, parallel, more probably my brain is blanking). I'm hoping somebody here can recommend some other method that would have me employing different habits of mind and just generally feels different. Thank you.

RC Inference Questions

Hi! Any tips for RC inference/most strongly supported by the passage or author questions? How do you remember what was said in order to piece it together when there’s so much info + the AC’s under timed conditions all seem to have something to do with that info? Any tips would be highly appreciated!

Tried to register this evening at my time and my last name was wrong. Has anyone ever had to deal with changing this? How long did it take?

Completely forgot about this test….

FML. After the October test I booked it to a music festival and completely forgot about this test for three weeks. I can’t even tell you what was on it or how I felt while taking it. Just remembered about score release tomorrow and the anxiety is fully back. Didn’t get a score hold though and I’m hoping for an 8 point increase so the anxiety is real since it’s the last time I can ever take it😭😭😭 did anyone not get a score release in September but had a 10+ point jump? Is anyone expecting the score range to be decent for this month? Catch me up on what the news has been regarding octobers test if any pls!

Edit: not sure why I’m posting this I guess it’s just one of my last posts on this thread and wanted to say my last anxiety goodbyes. It’s been real!!!

No score hold means no big jump

I am kinda worried because my PT score went a lot up compared to my June exam (160ish to mid-170s) and I did not get a score hold.
Does this mean I did not get a big score jump?

Looking for a consistent study buddy!!!!!

Hi! I’m taking the November LSAT and looking for a study buddy! I’m currently scoring in the 166–170+ range and would love to find someone around the same range who’s down to consistently drill, review questions, and keep each other motivated!

My schedule is pretty open, so I’m flexible with study times! Would love to find someone who’s just as committed to improving these last few weeks. Feel free to PM me if you’re interested!!☺️

Nov LSAT scheduler not loading

My window opened 40 minutes ago and I’ve been stuck on this loading page since. I’m not sure if this is a high traffic issue or something else but I didn’t wait this long when I scheduled for October

Update: after waiting another 40 minutes I tried accessing the portal through my phone and I got through instantly. Weird but I got the time I wanted anyways so I’ll take it

Which study guide?

The top 4 methods I've gleaned from this site are: 7sage, LSAT demon, the LSAT trainer, and the loophole. If you had to pick one, which would you choose? Or would you choose more than one? Or would you recommend a different platform entirely? Thank you so much for your time and consideration of this post!

Prometric unable to schedule anyone else? Even by phone?

Prometric’s website can’t schedule my exam. I called and they can’t either due to technical issues on their end.

Others are apparently having this issue they said and it was already escalated to their IT.

Told me to try again in a hour.

All these years and this company still has problems with this monthly process.

Anyone else having this issue?
