To those more knowledgeable about Israeli politics than me - what is the most likely outcome of the Israeli election in terms of policy?

And yes, this is tagged as Zionist nonsense.

This is an argument I had with someone on Facebook. Mods please remove if it breaks the rules. I'm just interested in how the Zionist argument necessitates following the Nazi argument that blood is the only thing that matters in nationality.

Early evening at an art house cinema. Probably only 20 people in the screening. When it ended, the room was silent. Like, nobody spoke, at all. Just no words. A couple of people bolted for the door but I kinda couldn't move. I saw a guy sitting by himself, with his head in his hands. I asked him if he was okay. He kind of nodded and smiled weakly.

I mean, damn. I knew it was going to be tough, but it was still... I don't have a word for it. Like when you leave Auschwitz, or Yad Vashem. Empty. Crushed. What did I just bear witness to? How can people do this to each other? How can they justify it? Even if the film makers hadn't drawn them for us, the parallels were devastating. Industrial scale killing, lit by the banality of evil.

It's not a film you want to see. It's a film you have to see. Actually, I take that back. You don't have to see it. You already know what it's about. If you're concerned for your mental health, then don't go.

In cinemas now, or if can't find a screening near you, you'll be able to watch it for free on the Guardian website in around a month's time.

This is truly of no importance, but I just wanted to vent. I posted this in a sub about the Ethan Klein drama and I got such odd responses. The second person seems like a goyische leftist who doesn’t know what’s happening, but the deleted a comment where they accused me of colonizing Hebrew since I’m not a Zionist and did that whole, “well if you’re not a Zionist what do you say at the end of Pesach? What way does your bimah face?” BS.

Do you vote for more liberal Zionist parties what are against violent settler culture (despite the fact the country was build on the same exact violent settler culture but what is an Zionist without their complete lack of sense of critical thinking.) Do you just try to vote for the party that you think can more easily defeat Netanyahu. Do you vote at all. Are there even antizionist parties that exist.

In many Bedouin communities, Raanan said, "people report waiting for hours, and polling station staff are taking a very long time to verify each voter's identity."

Under the law, the chair of the Central Elections Committee and their deputies may extend voting hours on election eve or election day and, if necessary, add an additional day of voting on Wednesday.

According to Adalah, police officers were checking voters' identities at polling station entrances and delaying their entry. Polling station committees were also reportedly conducting voting procedures slowly and asking voters irrelevant questions. In some locations, committees allegedly closed polling station doors and suspended voting, citing reasons such as "the committee is in session" or a "mix-up with the ballots."

Tovah Feldshuh is speaking out after her Nobody Wants This costar, Adam Brody’s remarks about Palestine.

The 77-year-old actress shared her thoughts on Brody’s recent GQ interview, in which he called for a free Palestine and spoke critically about Israel’s military actions.

“To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild,” Feldshuh, who is Jewish, told The New York Post. “It’s right out of Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator.”

While speaking with The New York Post, Feldshuh said that it “makes a difference to the [Jewish] community” when genocide accusations are made by Jewish people. She also told the outlet that individuals with “large platforms who feed their followers such falsehoods do the most damage,” but did not specifically mention Brody by name.

“I believe that the perseverance of the existence of the state of Israel is crucial to the well-being of the democratic world and of the free world,” Feldshuh continued. “Of course, Israel needs the United States, [but] the United States needs Israel, believe you me.”
