Am I overthinking this or
I might be overthinking a lot, but basically, I’ve been interviewing with this company, and the phone screen went well. I was referred by someone and got in contact with the hiring manager. Then, the hiring manager round went AMAZING, like, genuinely the best interview ever. We vibed and connected so well that he actually moved me to the next round MID-INTERVIEW. He said he still had five other people to get through, but that he wanted to move me forward right away. He even said I crushed it and gave me tips for the next/final round.
The final panel round last Friday went well, although not quite as well as the hiring manager round. They said I had great energy and that it was contagious haha. They also said they’d obviously speak with the hiring manager, but they still need to get through the remaining candidates. They gave me a timeline and said I should expect a decision sometime this week, or the week after at the latest.
Do you think I’m in a good spot? Idk why I’m overthinking everything. I just wanted to talk to someone about it. 😭

Georgetown Niche
Hi all!
What’s something you’ve come to really appreciate about Georgetown that you only discovered after becoming a student?
I’d also love to hear about any niche traditions, underrated clubs, classes, or campus experiences that people outside Georgetown University might not know about. Thanks!

Do Not Support Roots Bistro in The Square
Employees were paid just $6 an hour and were expected to share their tips evenly with a salaried manager and cooks. This is incredibly unfair to the servers who work hard for their income.
The working conditions were also unacceptable. The bathrooms were not functioning, and there were multiple occasions where they expected employees to work and serve people beer and food without access to a working restroom. No employee should have to deal with that.
There are many serious sanitation concerns, including rat and cockroach infestations. These conditions raised major concerns for cleanliness and food safety.
Employees deserve fair treatment, safe and sanitary working conditions, functioning facilities, and management that takes their business seriously. Roots Bistro fell short in every area
Customers deserve to know about the working conditions behind a business’s public image. A restaurant’s reputation should reflect not only how it treats its customers, but also how it treats the people who keep it running.

Looking for a trusted house/dog sitter during the holiday break
Hi everyone! GULC professor with a rowhouse two blocks from the U street metro. Are there any students or community members who will be in town for the holiday break? I’m looking for a house/dog sitter from approximately 12/22 through 1/11. The house is very well located - two blocks from the u street metro and one block off 14 st with a guest room, dedicated office space and parking. The dog is a small (20 lb) 8 month chi mix. She’s pretty relaxed - needs an overnight sitter with someone to feed her and give feed and walk her 2x per day. If you’re a member of the community and interested (and have some experience with dogs) please pm me!

Soccer team cracked
Soccer team this season has been insane😭 looks like thier currently ranked 3rd in the country by record, but 1st by matchups and opponents difficultly. Currently they are 12-1-1 coming off a 6-1 win vs Pitt(top 10 team). They also have that kid Mitchell Baker who’s apparently scoring hattricks on the Indonesia national team.
Always interesting to think of the talented athletes also getting prestigious degrees. At gradution imagine having the choice to continue playing professionally or working at BB/MBB firm.
Playoffs start Mid november, 💍 season??

Georgetown Hoyas - Alum here. I write about theology every day. I graduated from the MSB, and a lot of former Hoyas read this, so I wanted to put it in here in case any of you might want to spend more time discerning theology!

Thoughts about Georgetown as a transfer
I’m currently a freshman at a big engineering state school, and it’s really not working out for me. I want to pursue law in the future, and I honestly love everything I’ve seen about Georgetown. Before I romanticize the hell out of it, I would like some perspectives from people in the Georgetown community. For reference it wasn’t really my choice to go to a big state school, but I got waitlisted to literally everywhere last year (Tufts, Swarthmore, brown, Williams, Kenyon) so a smallish private school is what I’m looking for. I also kinda want some of the “college experience” though I’m not some dude just looking to party. I love small classes and flexibility to take interesting courses and explore different texts and write for campus publications and do 3d art.
Basically is Georgetown all their website and social media makes it to be?

Georgetown’s Master in Diplomacy and International Affairs (Asia Pacific) MDIA - Jakarta
Current undergrad at Berkeley who is pretty interested in this masters. I hope to work in national defense and security policy with a focus in Asia. I was hoping to gain more regional expertise in the region while I prepare for law school applications.
That being said, I haven’t seen much if anything about this degree or campus.
Anyone have anything to share?

Georgetown IR phd
Hi everyone!
Is anyone here currently doing a PhD in International Relations at Georgetown University?
I’m considering applying and would love to learn more about the program, particularly the curriculum and what the first two years look like in terms of coursework, workload, and requirements.
I’d really appreciate hearing from current students or anyone familiar with the program.
Thanks,

A Different Dialogue
Hi I was wondering if the program “A Different Dialogue” is still running. Everything I can find out about it is from 2019? I’m interested in that type of program where I can talk to other students about their beliefs. If it’s not running anymore, is there something similar to it currently?

REA
Can someone please explain this to me? Our college advisor says that if one applies to GT REA then you cannot apply EA to any private schools.
I don’t see anything of the sorts on GU website.

Economics Pre-requisites MSFS Application
Hello! I need to take the required micro and macro economics courses as I am applying to MSFS. The website states that combined courses under 6 credits won't count for both, so I am trying to find a list of accepted combined courses that I can take online. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Has anyone (CAS/ SFS/ MSB) gotten a physical GO Card by asking?
Hey guys, I’m a transfer student into CAS and I’ve seen everyone have the mobile cards (which are new to me), but I wanted to see if anyone has ever gotten a physical student ID while not being from the Medicine Centers. I’ve wondered what would happen if my phone ever died and I can’t get into a building and I’ve also wanted to have it for memorabilia. The answer is always no without asking, but I wanted to see if anyone here has ever gotten a physical card before by just asking?
