Introduction / Setup:

The Black Noir twist from the comics could be adapted brilliantly into the live-action The Boys series, building directly off the events of Season 5 Episode 6, where The Deep killed Black Noir 2.Here’s how it could unfold:

In the aftermath of Black Noir 2’s death, a nervous Ashley quickly presents a replacement — Black Noir 3 — to Homelander. The Deep, who has been sweating and panicking nonstop, convinced that Homelander would execute him for killing another member of The Seven, finally breathes a sigh of relief when he sees the new Noir standing there.

The Deep: “New guy’s already here? Okay… cool. We’re good. I’m good, right?”

Homelander, freshly empowered after taking Compound V1 and fully convinced he has become an unstoppable Supe God, barely pays attention to the new arrival. He doesn’t even activate his X-ray vision to check beneath the mask.

Homelander: “Just stand there and look intimidating. Don’t speak. I like my Noir silent and loyal. The second one was annoying.”

He waves Black Noir 3 away dismissively.

Unbeknownst to Homelander, Butcher and The Boys are finalizing their most dangerous plan yet: a direct raid on the White House. Homelander is hours away from seizing total authority, likely by murdering the President and declaring himself the ruler of the country.

During their preparation, Sage — who has secretly switched sides and is now working with The Boys — drops the revelation:

Sage: “Stan Edgar and I collected everything we needed from Homelander’s room, which is his gray pubic hair. We grew a flawless clone. If the virus fails, if the Godolkin plan fails, if Soldier Boy fails — if everything else fails… this is our final card.

My Plan - C”

The White House Climax:

Homelander sits arrogantly in the Oval Office, feet propped up on the President’s desk, radiating pure satisfaction. The President’s dead body lies slumped in the corner.He suddenly senses Butcher’s presence and lets out a low, amused chuckle.

Butcher: "Oi.... "

Homelander: “William… I was wondering when you’d crawl in here to die.”

Butcher kicks the door open and walks in, battered and bloody but defiant.

Butcher: " You’re not a god, cunt. You’re just a fucking kid playing dress-up. Time for that spanking you’ve always needed.”

Homelander laughs loudly, clearly entertained.

Homelander: “Oh, Butcher. Still so angry. That's why I always liked you. Come on then, let me show you what real power looks like before I paint the walls with your insides.”

Black Noir 3 silently enters the room from the side. The figure walks forward, stops in front of Homelander, and slowly removes his hood and mask — revealing Homelander’s own face.

Homelander freezes, his smile vanishing instantly. Butcher reveals an evil grin.

Homelander: “What the fuck… is this?”

In a burst of shock and rage, Homelander shoots lasers at Butcher violently, smashing him into a wall.

Homelander: “You think this is funny?! You think this is a game, I cannot be bothered by a copy?!”

The clone (Black Noir 3) smiles with cold confidence and begins speaking in a calm, superior version of Homelander’s voice.

Clone: “Look at you… still so broken. You’ll never be a god. You’re a defective product. All that desperate need for love, for approval, for mommy’s attention — it makes you weak. Pathetic.”

Homelander snarls and charges at the clone.

Clone: “I’m what you were supposed to be. Born again. Clean. No mental blocks. No pathetic craving for Soldier Boy’s approval. No crying for Ryan to love you. I don’t need a mother. I don’t need anyone. I can rule this world without your constant whining, self-talk, and insecurity. I have no weaknesses. I am the perfected version.”

The two identical supes erupt into a ferocious, visually spectacular battle. Lasers rip through the Oval Office, walls and furniture shatter, and brutal blows are exchanged as the clone continues tearing into Homelander psychologically.

Clone: “You talk to yourself constantly because you’re terrified of being alone. I don’t need to. You chase affection like a desperate dog. I don’t. That’s why I’m superior.”

The fight is intense and destructive, but Homelander, driven by pure narcissistic fury, eventually overpowers the clone. With a blood-curdling scream, he unleashes his most powerful heat vision and burns a massive hole straight through the clone’s chest.

Homelander stands over the dead clone, breathing heavily, victorious but visibly shaken.

Butcher’s End:

As Homelander stands over the clone’s corpse, breathing heavily and still shaken, Butcher slowly rises from the floor. Blood drips from his mouth, but his eyes burn with cold determination.

Butcher: “Now… you’re fucking mine.”

Butcher’s tentacles explode outward in a violent burst. Several thick, venomous tendrils wrap tightly around Homelander’s arms, legs, and torso, restraining him. More tentacles shoot up, trying to cover his eyes.

Homelander immediately goes berserk, thrashing like a wild animal.

Homelander: “Get the fuck off me! Get off!”

He fires his heat vision wildly in all directions, desperately lasering the tentacles. Several tendrils are burned off, and Homelander sears a deep, cauterized wound across Butcher’s chest.

Butcher grits his teeth through the excruciating pain and pushes forward.

With the last of his strength, he forces the remaining tentacles directly into Homelander’s eyes, blinding him.

Homelander: “AHHH! You bastard!”

Butcher grabs a heavy metal crowbar from the debris on the floor. With a vicious, satisfied grin, he begins smashing Homelander’s face repeatedly.

Butcher: “You… fucking… cunt!”

Each strike lands with brutal force. Butcher keeps swinging, his grin widening as Homelander’s perfect face is destroyed. Finally, with one savage upward thrust, Butcher drives the crowbar into Homelander’s skull, scoops out his brain, and flings it across the blood-soaked Oval Office.

Homelander’s body collapses lifeless to the floor.

The adrenaline begins to fade. Butcher staggers backward and slumps against the President’s desk, heavily wounded and bleeding out.

Moments later, Hughie bursts into the devastated office. He stops dead at the horrific scene — blood everywhere, bodies on the floor, and Butcher barely standing.

Hughie: “Butcher?! Oh God… Butcher!!”

Butcher looks at Hughie with a weak, cruel smile. Knowing his time is up, he decides to go out on his own terms with one final act of ragebait.

Butcher: “Oi Hughie… you seen Annie anywhere? Your girl’s gone to heaven, mate.”

Hughie: “What…? No… What Happened? WHAT the FUCK did you do?!”

Butcher: “I told you from the beginning, didn’t I? No supe deserves to live. Killed her quick. Easy.”

Hughie’s face twists in pure shock, grief, and rage. He lets out a broken scream, snatches the bloodied crowbar from Butcher’s hand, and begins furiously beating him.Hughie doesn’t stop until Butcher is dead.

Covered head to toe in Butcher’s blood, Hughie stumbles out of the White House in a complete daze.

The Aftermath – Ryan, Annie, and Hughie:

Hughie stumbles out of the destroyed White House, still gripping the bloodied crowbar, his entire body covered in Butcher’s blood.

He looks broken — eyes empty, hands shaking.

Suddenly, Starlight and Ryan descend from the sky and land in front of him.

Starlight’s eyes widen in horror as she sees the state Hughie is in.

Starlight (Annie): “Hughie! Oh my God… what happened?!”

Hughie stares at her in complete disbelief, his voice cracking.

Hughie: “Annie…? You’re… you’re alive? But Butcher said… he said he killed you.”

Starlight: “He lied, Hughie. He lied to you. He wanted an end to his vengeance filled life”

Hughie drops the crowbar, his legs nearly giving out. Starlight rushes forward and pulls him into a tight embrace as he breaks down.

Starlight: “Butcher always planned it this way. He already told me that… he knew he wasn’t going to survive this. He kinda wished he doesn't survive all this.... He said he had done too many horrible things. That he was irredeemable. He wanted it to end. He wanted to be with Becca… and Lenny.”

Ryan stands a few feet away, staring at the blood-soaked Hughie and the destroyed White House. The realization hits him hard.

Ryan: “He’s… gone? Butcher’s really gone?”

Ryan’s voice breaks. He drops to his knees, tears streaming down his face. Butcher was the last living connection he had to his mother, Becca.

Starlight walks over and pulls Ryan into a hug, holding him tightly as he sobs.

Starlight: “It’s okay, Ryan. We’ve got you. You’re not alone.”

She looks up at Hughie, her eyes soft but determined.

Starlight: “Butcher trusted you, Hughie. More than anyone. He wanted you to look after Ryan if anything happened to him. He believed you could raise him right… better than he ever could.”

Hughie stands there for a long moment, still traumatized, covered in blood, and emotionally destroyed. He looks at Ryan, then at Annie. Slowly, he nods.

Hughie: “Yeah… okay. We’ll do this together.”

Hughie walks over, kneels beside Ryan, and puts a hand on the boy’s shoulder.

Hughie: “I’ve got you, kid. We both have got you. We are.... your family now.”

The End.

Had to rush this edit but needed to do something to remember the team

You may have seen the work-in-progress I posted earlier. I’ve now finished the portrait.

Painted in Procreate, with the aim of capturing Homelander’s expression and that slightly unsettling combination of confidence, power and menace.

I’m keen to hear your thoughts on it.

Not so creative title aside, Since the Boys is officially over, I thought id show off the first piece of fanart I ever made for the series. This being a drawing of Starlight's original costume from season 1.

Regardless of how some may feel about the direction of her character, You got to admit that her original costume was absolutely perfect; Really reminded me of Supergirl in a way if that makes sense.

This drawing was done with a prismacolor erase pencil for the initial sketch, Ohuhu alcohol markers for the colors and Ohuhu fineliners for the lineart.

Hi everyone, this is my first post on this sub. I can't post on the other sub but I'm proud of this piece, so I hope it's welcome here. I'm gonna try again over there at some point, but maybe once I've finished the other posters of Bombsight, Torpedo and Soldier Boy. Lmk what y'all think!
