I believe lore wise these factions wouldn't make sense existing in the current gta online timeline because story mode events/later online updates contradicts them appearing further. Prove me wrong in the comments but here are my 2 cents on this.

Hillbillies/Rednecks/O'Neil Brothers: they are implied to be inbred but there is no way that they are still around considering it has been 13 years since story mode's events where not only Trevor took them out but also our Online Protagonist all these years after Trevor finished Elwood's generation. And unless everyone in Blaine County calls themselves an "o'neil brother" or they hire extra muscle that isn't part of the "family", even with inbreding it would still be impossible for them to exist 13 years later, it's simply too many people. Also, is the gap between their ages done on purpose since the members are either thin young guys in their 20s or 30s or overweight farmers that look like they are in their 50s?

Merryweather: oh boy get ready for this. After the story mode's events they lost the right to operate in the country. But since the release of Gunrunning the timeline jumped from 2013 to 2017 and continued in real time from that point on. So you are to tell me Merryweather was still operating between those 4 years despite them cleary losing the license to do so? Then comes the San Andreas Mercenaries update where it is implied we will finish off Merryweather for good. And we do so in the end, the U.S Government has officially ended the contract with them. Only problem is THEY STILL APPEAR IN LATER UPDATES AS ENEMIES AS IF NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. You literally steal EMP charges from them in the latest Kortz Center Heist update. How is this possible?

Duggans: Firstly you killed many members Avery sent after you. Then you kill Avery himself. Then you rob their casino multiple times canonically and killing those that survived after Avery's death that were put as casino security. Then you kill Mason and his guards. Then you kill more of them in Duggan Robbery. Then you open a Bounty Hunting station, capturing few of their high ranking members and kill those that stand in your way. Honestly, they should've packed their bags and left for Texas where they came from a long time ago

Any idea if this van was given away at any time? At LSC I can only plant a bomb, put a tracker or sell it, while at Car Meet I can only put a tracker. I'm pretty sure it's not from the traffic due to the pink color and (I guess) non-standart black wheels.

I have been playing this game since 2015 and I love it.

Darn it, why can’t they figure out how to spawn vehicles? My Raiju explodes the second it spawns in, and my buzzard spawns in an NPC’s butt or an alley where it can’t fit?

Edit 1: for those who don’t realize… I managed to free myself from the alley only to be shot by a tank 0.25 seconds later.
