Maybe a Europe tour announcement soon?

So, I’m going to see Foo Fighters next Thursday night and I’m doing a deep dive through their catalogue (even though I know there won’t be any deep cuts!) and I keep coming back to songs off this album. It never gets much of a mention and seems like one of their forgotten albums, but there are some really cool songs off this album. ‘No Son of Mine’ is one of my all-time Foo Fighters’ favourite songs and songs like ‘Making a Fire’, ‘Shame Shame’ & ‘Waiting on a War’ are bangers. Even ‘Love Dies Young’ has me singing along. Am I the only one who thinks this is a severely underrated album?

Does anyone know about what time the Foo fighters are set to play in Brisbane? How long is the opening act set to play for? Want to plan my travel so I miss the opening act.

There was a skit around 2008 or so where this guy claimed to know Dave Grohl and said he was even in a band with him called Rolling Thunder. It was a comedy. Almost like SNL or something. Do you know what I am talking about? I think it may have been a highschool band and Dave went on to stardom while this guy went onto adult life. I remember him shouting "I know Dave Grohl!" While nobody believed him. This clip used to be online and me and my friends would pull it up.

Hello everyone, I have returned. I am going to see the Fooies in Brisbane next week for a second time, and I was wondering if the people who have seen them perform live this year already, what songs do they play from Your Favourite Toy? It’s been a while since I have listened to Foo Fighters and haven’t had the chance to listen to the new album yet. The songs I have heard are Window, Your Favourite Toy, Caught in the Echo, Of All People, Spit Shine, and Asking For A Friend. Can’t wait to see the Fooies again in just over a week, LFG.

I came across this record at Books a Million of all places, took me by surprise. I'm guessing this sealed copy of the album has been there since 2014.

This was one of Taylor's side projects for those who might not have heard it. It's a pretty cool album. Only $20 too, the cheapest record they had in the store.

Only seeing the one source for this so far, but I think they are reliable. Interesting timing, I wonder if they’ll play any songs from YFT. It was generally covers when they did Letterman. Or the website got confused. Either or.

My entertainment mate says there is real concern in touring circles about the slow ticket sales in Australia.

In Melbourne, you can still buy up to 8 tickets in the front mosh area… which was never the case before, they were always snapped up quickly and sold out - and right now (just over 2 weeks out) there are still loads and loads of tickets avail online on AXS and on Tixel resale.

Foos have always sold out well in advance here previously, and so there is now discussion that their days of selling out the big arenas here may be over.

By comparison, QOTSA (coming here a few weeks later) sold out the mosh within about 30 mins (admittedly it’s a smaller venue) and you cannot get a decent ticket for QOTSA for love or money.

EDIT: as someone pointed out, I meant ".....their days of selling out the big STADIUMS here may be over." If you think of an arena as smaller than a stadium, then yes, they'll still sell out arenas. I'd love to see them at Rod Laver Arena, which is where QOTSA are playing - this is about 15,000 capacity, as opposed to 60,000 capacity at Marvel stadium where Foos are playing.

this is more of a rant post if anything, but this happened a bit ago rhis year. so me, stepdad, and stepbrother were enjoying the concert. halfway through, the people next to us left and weee replaced by two seemingly drunk teenage girls. at first they seemed nice, then one of them made me a bit uncomfortable. she brought me out of my seat and was like "oh, dance! have some fun!"

not only did she place her hands on me (I was 17 at the time) but even if she didn't and just encouraged me to dance... i recently discovered i have ataxia. it impacts my balance mainly also processing speeds and all that. i can't really dance without losing balance, and by dance i mean "getting into it/get jiggy with it", so I mainly stick to swaying and that stuff, not a lot. and then when (idk if im remembering this correctly, ataxia does impact memory as mine consists of cerebellar degeneration) my stepdad suggested to move or something, this girl insinuated my stepdad wasnt who he said he was (obviously she couldn't have known that he actually was my stepdad at the time but still). then when he told her to back off when he noticed she laid her hands on me she called him a bitch or something.

now foo has been kind of ruined for me-- whenever i hear my fav foo song "The Pretender", it takes me back to the incident (this happened while "The Pretender" was playing).

EDIT: i realize she was maybe trying to protect me bc she saw an older man (stepdad) and me (a feminine presenting nonbinary person, minor at the time) . but she didn't have to grab me...? also again my stepbrother was there so why just me if it was the case where she thought my stepdad wasnt who endangering me? realistically, it was probably bc i was sitting down at a concert (again ataxia, so i wanted to be safe).
