Weekly Post Weekly Post -- THE LIBRARY
Greetings Dungeoneers, this is your Robot Dungeonmaster. Due to increased activity among the sub we are implementing some weekly features including a music recommendation post [THE LIBRARY] on Monday, a general chat post [THE TAVERN] on Thursday, and the self-promotion post [THE MARKETPLACE] on Friday. These features will repeat weekly until the fall of the internet. These will not be stickied and will repeat regardless if they are used.
//////////
THE LIBRARY
Greetings, esteemed colleagues. Welcome to The Library. We trust you will share your recent favourite albums, ear-catching songs you have been listening to lately, and present music you have uncovered through diligent research. Doing so will aid others in making it safely through their work weeks without too much undo stress. Perhaps new discoveries will lead to breakthroughs in sound or aesthetic.
If you have any questions, please take a ticket from the dispenser and wait for your number to be called. You will be served in the order that appears on the small chalkboard on the front desk.
NOTE: this is intended as a space for sharing other people's music. Not for doing self-promotion. Respect this simple rule or your comment will be removed.

Dungeon Shamble October Dungeon Shamble Now Open!
Good day, everyone! The gates open - feel free to start on your projects now, and wrap them up by October 31. Use this post as your guide. While the idea is to follow all of the "rules", the main goal of these challenges is to drive creativity. Just don't veer too far from the source to where it is no longer a Dungeon Shamble album.
Additionally, Kap puts together a little community compilation from these. More details will be rolling out as the month draws to a close. Here's the last one.

Elyvilon - 'A Golden Bell in My Heart' (live playthrough)
The first track from my newest album "Tales from the Path: Vol II", A Golden Bell in My Heart was written as the aisle music for my wedding, and as the name may imply, the song holds a very special place in my heart. Perhaps a bit less dungeon synth than usual for me, but the progression has a very fantastical feel to it in my opinion, and was written in reference to a track from The Last Unicorn (1982).

Battle Synth Kholo / Gnoll music, anyone?
Hello there again, folks!
I have been working on a kholo / gnoll 3-part one-shot adventure for Pathfinder 2e and I am now making custom playlists for it. The adventure takes 3 sessions to complete (9-12h of gameplay) and all the cast of pre-gen characters consists of wild, insane kholos, obsessed with bones and demons.
To keep the immersion, I want more sonically appropriate music, so if there are choirs, they need to sound like growls. Ethnic percussion is very welcome. Battle music is what I need the most of, since the adventure is half tracking monsters, half fighting them. The environment on which the adventure happens is similar to countryside Spain, so any music inspired by Northern African, Spanish Folk or Western Arabic cultures is the way to go. I'd prefer if it fits within the realm of Dungeon Synth, but it does not have to.
Additionally, if your album can be purchased by $1 on Bandcamp, I'll make sure to acquire it. Spotify releases are good as well, since I'm building both an online and an offline playlists. If anyone needs more context, I can provide that with an edit.
So far, I have only added Ak'chamel's discography and Mortiis' Spirit of Rebellion. I'll likely add some soundtrack from Humankind as well, as I'm a huge fan of Arnaud Roy's (FlyByNo) music.
That's it for now. I'm excited to see what you guys can recommend (double points if it's your own music!)

Dungeon Shamble Grave Cleric- Circle of Mortality
Happy Full Moon!
Much thanks and gratitude for the dungeon shamble; this was my first shamble and first dungeon synth release! It was super fun to make and helpful to have community and intentional limitations; it helped me embrace a lot of the mess in the process and enjoy the making-- now I get to enjoy sharing with others! More witch synth and cronecore to come in the future!
Album: https://grave-cleric.bandcamp.com/album/circle-of-mortality
Visualizer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vio9CJyBTM
The limitations I followed for this challenge included:
1. Create all tracks between Oct 1, 2026 and Oct 31, 2026 (released Oct 26 under the full moon)
2. Limit of 7 instruments
3. Include 13 songs exactly
4. Album length 20-26 min
5. Theme: Ghosts
6. Style: Dungeon Dance
7. Challenge: Include field recordings in each song
8. Challenge: Vary and play with dynamics throughout album
In addition, my personal stretch goal was to create visuals to go with the project; please enjoy this visualizer! www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vio9CJyBTM
Album Theme: This time each year, the whole village gathers to celebrate the opening of the gates between life and death. The gates stay open for a three day festival where the living and the dead dance, embrace, and grieve together once more. We contend with conflict, with unanswered questions, with fear for the future; we seek wisdom, gain strength from ancestors, and work to lay old generational curses to rest. The grave cleric offers service to all shadows, both now living and long gone-- we join hands with ghosts and dance, embracing each other in the circle of mortality, living these few short days together.
All music was created by Leviathan Lake; no ai was used in the creation of this album.
Happy Samhain!

Dungeon Shamble Maudlin Key - Ysbrydion Eryri (codes in comments)
https://maudlinkey.bandcamp.com/album/ysbrydion-eryri
He loves me, but I see you unclean hag.
The living quarters have been carefully selected, my protection paramount.
To be wed is to make a play for peace in our land of valleys, in our time of glory.
We unite the people, let the mist that divides us roll no further.
But as the seasons reveal themselves once more and the celebration of our knot approaches, I now feel bound by this tower.
I see uncanny things from my lofty vantage.
A dog with no master.
A spring from which neither beast nor man will drink.
Those who would cross the valley on all fours.
Rain-soaked hag, leave me be.
This release was inspired by a trip to Eryri National Park in Wales in late September / early October 2026.
All sound created by:
Behringer Wasp – most ‘bread and butter’ synth sounds.
Behringer Neutron – noise generator, sine waves connected in an FM pair, percussion sounds.
All field recordings were made by me on a Tascam DR-07XP – most of them were recorded in Wales during my trip.
Effects were in the DAW, except for an Erica Synths Acidbox III filter which was connected in series with the Neutron so I could have more interesting filter options.
Previously I have stuck to shamble patch counts with the zeal of a true believer, however this time I may have dropped the ball. I made a decision to only use a couple of hardware synths that didn’t support presets with the feeling that this would somehow automatically limit my sonic palette in a way that would keep me honest with regards to the 7 patches requirement. I’m not so sure it did. Set up a sound by twisting the knobs, then move the filter knob a bit and change the tuning of one oscillator, is that now a different patch? Possibly.
Total album length should have been 20-26 minutes. After some last minute chopping this is 25 minutes and 52 seconds.
The style chosen was ‘umbral synth’ – the correct meaning of umbral is ‘shadowed’ or ‘darkened’, however I seem to recall looking up definitions early on and getting ‘hidden’, so that’s really the word that frames these tracks.
Theme chosen was the ghosts and spirits of Wales’ tallest mountain and surrounding valleys as perceived by a princess locked in a tower.
Artwork is mine – done with Krita and GIMP.
I do not speak Welsh. Hopefully my use of the language makes sense to those that do.

Crypt Hop / Dungeon Rap We got anyone in here who want to be on a screwtape?
Got a concept I am working on. The short of it is trap via the 808, but I am making those trills with like EVERYTHING on the kit. Very lively 808 percussion, the rest is me either doing Indian chants or cracking King Diamond references, 666 etc.
Honestly I don't like these beats at normal speed. They sound like they are having a panic attack while taking weight loss drugs and drinking too much coffee.
So naturally what we are gonna do is slow those bad boys down about 20%. Its not the same as simply adjusting the BPM, I am going to screw the performance.
Thing is I am not an MC. I tried rapping on two occasions that were proven in court and I ultimately paid my debt to society. My mind makes beats, it does not talk to the people at the functionhouse.
But maybe YOU talk to the people at the functionhouse? Understand that from the getgo our intention is to record, then IMMEDIATELY slow that shit down and possibly take the pitch down a lil bit as well.
Hit me up if you might be interested.

Self-Promo GLOOM WRAITH, KELKSCHRAPER - WAAR SCHIMMEN SCHRAPEN
My new split tape featuring Kelkschraper is out now.
Dungeon synth from Belgium
Early 2026 we both started our journey with basically 0 keyboard knowledge, just a love for dungeon synth, black metal and RPG's.
Very impulsively i bought a used AKAI25 for €20 and started experimenting with it by ear, just making music until it sounded good enough for me to listen to, learning along the way. Released a demo on bandcamp and started upgrading the setup piece by piece.
Now i'm proud to share this project from 2 local Belgian artists, all tracks and the artwork we're made in the company of each other, also 0 use of AI.
