I've been playing Dota since 2013 and this is the only skill that has stayed just as broken in every update.
Playing Witch Doctor is a pleasure, but facing him at a low level (and if the opponent knows how to use him + Vessel) the only option is to run or TP back to base immediately.

I feel like it's one of the few skills that over time has remained with a single firm purpose:

Hello everyone!

I want to bring attention to a critical UI/UX flaw in Dota 2's item system that causes players to lose expensive items without any warning.

Here is what happened:

1. I bought a marketable Prismatic Gem (Dungeon Doom) on the Steam Community Market.

2. I socketed it into an untradable Terrorblade Arcana (received from a free event bag).

3. The game NEVER warned me that the untradable status would permanently transfer to my expensive gem.

4. To save my gem, I used a Master Artisan's Hammer and destroyed the Arcana. The Result: The Arcana is completely gone, but the extracted Prismatic Gem remains permanently untradable. Steam Support refused to help, stating they cannot alter item attributes, and advised me to post this on the community forums so the dev team can see it. This is a terrible user experience. If an action permanently ruins a high-value item, the UI must show a warning confirmation box before letting the player commit to it. Right now, it's a hidden trap. Please upvote so the developers can fix this interaction or add a proper warning to the socketing UI.

Suddenly valve ban the bots now, I'm exciting what will be another excuse of people if dota 2 still hit 900k.later

Valve or any related org like ESL/PGL should really investigate this Kukuys group.

It is a streaming group with the likes of former ex pros: Armel, Gabbi, Kuku, and many other Filipino pros going on and off in activities.

As a casual viewer, I have heard many times where they would joke about purposely throwing games in qualifiers, or jokingly suggest that one of their friends playing in a tournament should have told them when that player would throw.

There is also a recent post by KuyaNic, one of the pioneering casters in the Ph Dota2 scene where he claims Kukuys are protected by a certain Mafia group, whose boss by the way happens to be the owner of Execration.

Execration, owned by a certain Boss B, is reportedly known to groom upcoming Policemen, in return making them his own puppets. It is also an open secret that the Execration org itself is a money laundering scheme in the Philippines.

Just recently, the CICC (Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center) added Armel, Gabbi, Kuku, and Palos to their list of influencers illegally promoting online gambling; the group immediately went to this Boss B for protection, and now the group is laying low from gambling promotion.

I think that having an org and a group potentially ruining the Dota scene in the Philippines due to supposed match fixing, syndicate relations, is a bad look for the local scene.

I've been seeing people post about this and with the advancements in AI, coding things like this is easier than ever. I really hope it can be nipped in the bud and taken care of fast, whatever it is.

I used to play TF2, and the bot crisis for that game 100% ruined the entire public matchmaking system for four to five years. That is how long it took Valve to stop it. Thousands of people with #SaveTF2 in their names, the most vile chat binds you could ever imagine, in every server ruining everything.

Not sure if this stuff is happening on other servers, but on US East I decided to get an alt account to the level of matchmaking most new players get put into for all pick and queued early in the morning on a weekday to find out what was going on in the large amount of posts I am seeing.

Consistently across several matches of all pick I was put in games with literally 0 real players but me or along with 1 or 2 other newbies. Every single bot had the same generated naming convention, acted the same, far worse than a valve bot and was tied to a steam user account just like the TF2 ones were, with names being updated.

They all uniformally bought completely random items, fed down lanes, said "gg" in chat- as if someone is trying to teach AI how to play Dota.

Across the matches with these bots, I noticed that they were trying to react to what I was doing, in a very infantile way. When I teleported into a lane with Tinker, sometimes they would cast random abilities on random creeps.

In these times where people are looking for an actual good game to play, this is a huge negative thing that they have to deal with as new players. These bots WILL appear in their matches and WILL ruin their games, and unlike the TF2 bots, they lock you in a Dota match for as long as it takes you to end the game.

This is all kind of spontaneous, as these bots were not here last year, or even 5 months ago. I don't know if they're trying to make AI players, aggregating data, or farming items, but it's absolutely an abuse of Valve's open-ended policy and directly interferes with the Dota experience for some of the most important player base of the community.

I get the "CONFIRMED MATCH" but no dialog pops up to accept.

I just stays like this for 20-30 minutes.

If I cancel or restart Dota 2 I get leave penalty.

Anyone knows what's up?

Tried to restart my pc etc but the bug still exists. I wouldnt want to reinstall dota cause it takes like 3 hours with my bad internet…
