So after waiting for my Dell Precision 7770 to arrive, I finally got it today, only to find out it's still registered to Ford through Windows Autopilot.

Seriously, how does Dell Refurbished sell laptops without checking this stuff first?

Called Dell and apparently it'll take 3-5 days to get it removed. I know it's not the end of the world, but it's pretty annoying to finally get the laptop and then have to wait another week before I can actually use it.

I've seen some people mention using Rufus to install Windows offline and bypass the setup. I'm tempted to just do that and get started rather than wait around.

My only concern is whether I'd end up having to set everything up again once Dell finally removes the lock.

Anyone else dealt with this?

I hope is my Subject is applied to the Sub, i bought the new 5k 49 Alienware Monitor, i wanted to send it back and selected the option that the Carrier(ups) should pick it up.

The Date was given is yesterday 27.10.26 i was home whole time, nobody came, and no email or call received!

I couldn't contact the Support, when i call the number it gives me no option s for retoure and it says i should check the website, maybe someone had a similar experience, or know what should i do?

I’ve had this gaming laptop for 5+ years now and it only just died on me. I don’t know anything about laptops or pc but hoping I can get it fixed. Just wondering what the main logic board is? Is that the motherboard? And do I need to worry about Bitlocker recovery key or is that something else? I’ve been googling it but I don’t understand 😅🤣 I’m in New Zealand

So, I am starting to mess around with AI LLM's and image generation. My current setup has the Quadro RTX 3000 w/ 6GB of VRAM. I see that the GPU is upgradable in the 7750 using another Dell DGFF-compatible card and I see the Quadro RTX 5000 w/ 16GB VRAM. The extra VRAM would help.

Can I just take one of the RTX 5000 modules and swap it in place of the 3000, or are there other things I would have to acquire? I've seen some posts about people upgrading the 7750's without the card altogether and having to buy the DGFF cables, power cables and fan/heatsink assy, but since I already have one, I would think I would just need to swap the card?

I’m looking for advice on whether my current setup can support a 40-inch 5K2K ultrawide monitor (5120 × 2160) at 120Hz, and which monitor would be the better choice.

My current setup:

• Laptop: Dell Latitude 5421, Intel Core i7-11850H, Intel UHD Graphics
• Dock: Dell WD19TBS
• Current monitor: LG 38WK95C (3840 × 1600)
• Connection: Laptop → WD19TBS → DisplayPort → monitor

I’m considering two monitors:

• LG 40U990A (5120 × 2160, 120Hz, Thunderbolt 5, DisplayPort 2.1)
• Dell UltraSharp U4025QW (5120 × 2160, 120Hz, Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC)

My main question is whether either monitor can run at its native resolution of 5120 × 2160 at 120Hz through the WD19TBS, using one of its DisplayPort outputs.

According to Dell’s WD19TBS documentation, the maximum listed resolution for a single display is 4K at 60Hz, but I’m wondering whether 5K2K at 120Hz might still be possible with DSC, depending on the laptop’s graphics capabilities and the monitor.

A few specific questions:

1. Can the WD19TBS output 5120 × 2160 at 120Hz through DisplayPort, or is this a hard limitation of the dock?
2. Would connecting either monitor directly to the Latitude 5421 via USB-C/Thunderbolt provide enough bandwidth for 5K2K at 120Hz?
3. Would using the dock’s HDMI or USB-C/Thunderbolt ports make any difference compared with DisplayPort?
4. If 120Hz at native resolution isn’t possible with my current setup, would you recommend one monitor over the other, considering that I’d prefer to keep using the WD19TBS?

I’d appreciate any real-world experience with this combination or similar setups. I want to make sure I understand the limitations before investing in a new monitor.

I am slightly confused on whether this model (Dell pro rugged 14 rb14250) could actually be used when it is raining heavily outside. Mostly because of the uncertainly between IP53 and IP68 protections while actively using those laptops in the rain.

Does one require fully rugged laptops like Dell pro rugged 13 to do this?

Do I need both of these or can I uninstall the smaller one? Trying to remove as much bloat as I can. (Am on an Alienware Gaming Laptop from 2020, things are slowing down, so trying to remove/alter what I can so I can keep playing some of the heavier games)

I have been using Dell P2425HE and P2425H monitors for just over a year, and I'm facing a concerning issue.

About a month ago, my Dell P2425H suddenly stopped displaying anything. The backlight turns on, but there is no picture on the screen.

Now, the exact same issue has occurred with my Dell P2425HE as well. The backlight comes on, but the screen remains completely blank.

Both monitors have developed the same problem within a relatively short period of time, which makes me wonder if this is a known issue with these models.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem with the Dell P2425HE or P2425H? Is this a known hardware or firmware issue, and were you able to get it fixed?

So, we have two different lots of Dell Mini PCs. Same exact model. Came with two different power bricks, different brick model for each lot. Both are OEM adapters. One lot (older lot) BIOS says "under powered," despite being the power supply that came in the box with the PC.

The newer lot has a power adapter that works with either lot. Both are listed as 180 Watt power adapters.

Please suggest a replacement battery for my inspiron 3501. I have been using this since 2021 and recently battery started to die very quickly.
