Super niche question here. I’m using a DVD set of the original trilogy of Star Wars on a 2006 Magnavox MWC13D6. As you can see, the only way this DVD plays is in somewhat of an “ultra wide” picture with two GIANT black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. Is there anyone that would know specifically of where I can get the original trilogy DVD set in a format that fits this old CRT TV? I think the aspect ratio is 4:3 or fullscreen

I won’t mince words, I fucking hate eco cases. Picking up a title and feeling it flex and squish in a light grasp really kills the sensory aspect of the DVD experience. On titles I’ve thrifted that I especially enjoy I have swapped the disc and cover into sturdier cases from movies I like less.

Does anyone else do this? Does anyone know any good sources of cheap sturdy replacement cases?

i need help with hooking up my portable dvd player (one VP128) to my philips tv. i have zero knowledge about cables and all that stuff, i just want to be able to watch movies and shows on the big screen in my home while i have friends over

there is ANT port, AV OUT, usb and DC IN 9-12V on the dvd player, and 3 hdmi ports on my tv, 2 usb ports and one long skinny one with CI written next, also one with SERV.U written next

i will appreciate any help!!

Frankenstein (1931)

I tried watching a foreign language film (A Hijacking) on my PC DVD player tonight and it would not play with VLC Player. It's the correct region for UK (Region 2). I then tried a couple more foreign language films and none of them will play either? English language films play fine. Any ideas?

Found it on Vinted for 5 bucks sealed. Is it worth it ? Or should I go for blu ray instead ? Is the sound surround ant good on this DVD ?
