Ilang araw matapos idaos ang viral na "living funeral" para kay Ate Gay noong Oktubre 15, 2026, muling naospital ang popular stand-up comedian na patuloy na nakikipaglaban sa cancer.

Mula pa noong nakaraang linggo, nakaratay na sa intensive care unit (ICU) ng Asian Hospital and Medical Center sa Muntinlupa City si Ate Gay, na ang tunay na pangalan ay Gil Aducal Morales.

Umabot na sa PHP2,435,218.96 ang bayarin niya sa ospital kaya nananawagan ang kanyang pamilya sa publiko para sa tulong pinansiyal.

PROGRESS PAYMENT REQUEST

Noong Martes ng hapon, Oktubre 27, ibinahagi ng Pamilya Morales sa Facebook page ni Ate Gay ang kopya ng Progress Payment Request Letter mula sa pamunuan ng ospital, kasama ang kanilang "humble appeal" para sa tulong sa pagpapagamot ng komedyante.

Sa kanilang pahayag, sinabi ng pamilya na halos isang linggo nang naka-confine sa ICU si Ate Gay at kailangan nila ng tulong upang matugunan ang kanyang patuloy na pangangailangang medikal.

Nakasaad dito: “Our beloved Gil Aducal Morales known to many as Ate Gay has been confined in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Asian Hospital and Medical Center for almost a week.

“During this difficult time, our family is humbly reaching out to your kind hearts for any financial assistance to help support his ongoing medical needs. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has already extended their kindness and generosity.

“No amount is too small. Every contribution, prayer, and share means so much to our family.

“We humbly ask for your kindness and prayers as we continue to hope for his recovery.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, generosity, and support. With love and gratitude,

Kuya, pareho tayong nakagat ng insect sa mata. Thank you to your other family the Binays especially one of my closest & dearest friends annebinay. When my health isn’t okay, their home becomes your home. Whenever you’re sad, remember that for a few days 98% of the country 🇵🇭 stood with you? We have been so blessed. I made a promise, i will stay honest but i will always have faith and i won’t give up. 2 of my major organs are needing more attention because prevention is always the best course of action. But this woman born on the day of hearts has 2 autoimmune diseases that can just attack out of nowhere.

Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I am going to trust in Jesus that His will is always what is best not just for me but for my 2 sons. I love all of you who take time to write comments full of hope and happiness. What i appreciate most is when you say i inspire you to not give up. We are all tested, we all have trials but God loves us- for as long as we remember that, our hearts can remain peaceful. Contentment and gratitude - that’s what my heart has learned to embrace in these 5 years.

When we thought our first trip in Australia together couldn’t get any better, GOD said, “wait, there’s more” and sent us siblings to Europe for the World Champs 🇪🇺🏆

It wasn’t the result I hoped to give, but I’m always grateful to our Lord for giving me this opportunity. Not just to compete, but also to learn, grow, and see the bigger picture. Sometimes, God allows things to happen for reasons we may not immediately understand, and I’m learning to trust His plans even more. Sobrang happy ko na kahit anong mga nangyari, we’re still here magkakapatid, supporting and standing by each other. Wala na naman tayong picture mag-kakasama sa arena hahaha 😅

Super proud of my younger brother karll_yulooo ! We both fought hard, gave everything we had, and left it all out there. Wala tayong dapat pagsisihan because we know how much we gave and how hard we worked for this 💪🏻. And to my ate joryeng I’m so happy and proud of your journey as a judge! Never ko na imagine na magkakasama tayong magre-represent ng Pilipinas in our own ways. What a special moment for us siblings 🇵🇭❤️

And of course, to my fiancé chloeanjeleigh thank you for always showering us siblings with so much love and support. Thank you rin palagi sa mga napaka-sayang side quests like this one sa Paris 🤣. Hindi mo alam kung gaano mo na-heal yung inner child naming magkakapatid. These little moments mean so much more to us than you’ll ever know. Thank you for making life outside gymnastics just as beautiful and memorable. Mahal na mahal kita!

Lastly, to our family back in the Philippines and everyone else who prayed for us, believed in us, and supported us through it all, maraming maraming salamat po 🙏🏻

This competition may not have ended the way I wanted, but I’m choosing to be grateful for the lessons, the memories, and the people God continue to bless me with. We may fall short of the results we dream of, but we will never stop fighting, learning, and believing.

By God’s grace, we’ll come back stronger. Always for the Philippines 🇵🇭☝🏻

Last competition for mahal c_edrielzxs this year 🏆

One of the things I’ve learned ever since being physically present in everything that you do, is that our story doesn’t end with one competition, one result, or one difficult season.

I go back to Tokyo Olympics, when you missed the floor in the qualifications and got so close to a podium finish in the vault finals, the 2023 World Champs, when that zero on vault made us feel that the Olympic qualification was all gone. And then came Paris, watching you fall on pommel horse fighting for an all around place, knowing how much it hurt and how much you had sacrificed to be there. But just a few days later, God lifted you up in ways we could have never imagined, making you our double gold Olympian. Nagoya Asian Games, falling on the vault qualification, but came back home and stronger with another double gold 🥇🥇

There were moments when we genuinely wondered what would happen next, when the dreams we had worked so hard for suddenly felt so far away. From the moments we thought were the end of the road to standing on the biggest podium in the world, God reminded us that His plans are always greater than what we can see.

Through all these years, you’ve also taught me something that goes far beyond sports: not to be so quick to feel defeated when things don’t go our way the first time. You always tell me, “hindi pa tapos ang laban." And you have always been right. Just because something didn’t happen the way we hoped, it doesn’t mean the story ends there. We just have to keep showing up, keep believing, and trust that God is still working behind the scenes.

We’re not at the finish line yet. "Hindi pa tapos ang laban", as you always say. May the Lord God be with us 🤝🏻

As Michael V. continues to host “Family Feud Philippines” in place of its original host, Dingdong Dantes, he rediscovered the fun of hosting and how to properly deal with criticism on social media. 
Michael V. admitted that he reads comments on social media and tries to eliminate the negative remarks when asked how he deals with comparisons to Dantes. 
“Oo [nagbabasa ako ng comments]. Tapos dine-delete ko [‘yung negative] at binablock ko ‘yung mga basher. ‘Yun ang pinakamadali talaga, tsaka pinaka humane sa pag-deal with bashers,” he told select members of the press during a recent set visit. 
Michael V. was announced last month as the temporary replacement for Dantes, who is currently occupied with other commitments. However, he said there is no definite timeline for the original host’s return. “Sa ngayon, kasi ang dinetermine natin yung pagiging busy ni Dong. So, as soon as mag-clear up na yung schedule niya, I’m pretty sure makakabalik,” he said. 
Michael V. said he agreed to host “Family Feud Philippines” on the condition that the show’s schedule would accommodate his existing commitments to “Pepito Manaloto” and “Bubble Gang.” 
“Isa lang condition ko. Sabi ko basta maayos ‘yung schedule. Kasi I’m doing Pepito Manaloto and Bubble Gang. Luckily, ‘yung mga tao behind my shows, including this one, sila-sila rin yung mga nasa likod,” he said. 
While he said he has little left to discover about himself as a host, Michael V. expressed enjoyment in the opportunities the game show provides for his comedic instincts. 
“Naridiscover ko how fun it is to host a show like this. Especially ‘yung opportunities na binibigay ng mga contestants sa mga punchlines,” he said. |Inquirer.net

Filipino rapper Hev Abi brought his hits behind bars as he performed in a detainee shirt during the 2026 National Correctional Consciousness Week (NACOCOW), an annual observance promoting humane treatment and rehabilitation of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).

The rapper has been under the custody of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) since his arrest in Quezon City on 14 April over alleged firearms and drug violations.
