Discussion PSA: Please remember to add location to id requests!
I know you are eager to try to find species of your new leaf munching friend but please remember to add your location into the post. There is large variance of caterpillars depending on country and even inside countries have different areas with their own soecies so with large countries, its preferred to add state/city etc also.
This speeds up identifying as there are similar looking caterpillars but species can be different depending country. Some species only inhabit tiny areas. Looking forward for all new posts. π Thank you!

Advice/Help Hummingbird moth caterpillar?
Please correct my id if Iβm wrong too!
My neighbor found this guy in his warehouse at work and brought him home to me because I raise monarchs (not a pro, first year). But I live in Michigan and from what Iβve read, theyβre about to overwinter. I donβt want to disrupt thatβ¦
What should I do? Iβm prepared to raise him inside or should I release him in hopes that he can find somewhere quickly?
Super new at this, please be kind! Also a huge empath and sometimes I know that gets me in trouble haha. less

this little dude was pretty behind his siblings in growth and thus has not pupated yet, so I made an improvised food mix for him since all the leaves are dying off right now. His green goo <3

Photo Some caterpillars I've seen recently
These are some caterpillars I've seen relatively recently. Some of these pictures are kinda old but oh well lol
I've also seen some other caterpillars that aren't in these pictures. Caterpillars are cool little bugs! :D

Advice/Help what is happening to two of my caterpillars. they look very unusual.
one of them is hanging on a stem but one of its end that is attached to the stem seems to turn black and moist, not really responsive.
the other can be seen in V shape, and its end is moist too.
