is this play?

i didn’t stop it this one time as I wanted to get a video of it to post here so people knew what i was meaning, i don’t usually allow this this long as I have no idea if he’s accidentally hurting her. They play super rough. From both sides.

What percentage of cats would be able to escape this?
I don't have much experience with cats except for mine. I rescued Fluffhead at 3 months old and he is now almost 2. He does not go on counters or the dining room table (unless he can use a chair) and the highest he will go is the couch or my bed. Here is a photo of a dog gate that has been up for almost a year that he can't get out of, I find it hilarious because I see videos of cats online being athletic. So I'm asking, could your cat escape this? Or what percentage of healthy adult cats could? He has had access to "escape" for multiple hours a day and can't (or won't)? Dog's name is Finn :) Thanks!

My cat is constantly trying to smell something when there is nothing, what is happening here?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
he’s been doing this for about half an hour now not caring the pan is hot as well. he last did this about 2 weeks ago when i’d just worn a new pair of pants and i thought he was just being a cat for inspecting a new item. i had to travel after for 2 weeks away from home and couldn’t notice any patterns. i am back home now and he is doing this again except with the pan. what might be happening?

Is this bad, a few hours after getting neutered?
Btw I apologize for flashing my cat!
But my cat keeps trying to lick down there and I’ve tried stopping him each time, but he might of reached far. I’m worried because it looks like this, should I be worried?

HELP :: calico / female / 3 yrs
Hello to my fellow cat parents & this amazing cat community!!
I’ve had Lunèlore for a little over 2 years, she was about 9 months when she showed up & never hissed untilllll I tried introducing a sibling (kitten 4-12 wks.) …
It’s been almost 2 months & I’ve tried all suggestions :: trading beds, slow introductions, screen door, treats, keeping kitten in pack around her, toy exchanges, diffusers, calming treats, everything I feel like I’ve read…
When Lunèlore can see the kitten in her house her whole personality changes. While she will happily watch stray cats out the window, having a kitten in her territory makes her hiss so much she snorts & hides & then she’s stressed for days…
She’s okay to go about the house if the kitten is in a room with the door closed but if she can see her, she’s very unhappy & usually will not eat for 12+ hours afterwards…
We love our new baby (Söl) but we want to make sure they both are happy & comfortable.
We will try anything new!
Thank you in advance!! 🐾

Playing or fighting?

This is 2 of our 3 cats. The black cat (1.5 year female) has some single kitten syndrome tendencies and tends to play too rough with our older (3.5 year) female and doesn’t seem to understand her boundaries. The gray kitten (3.5 month male) is the new addition. Both cats seem into it, so i’m leaning towards playing, but neither seems to take a break or focus on anything other than each other. I’ll post additional videos in the comments.
EDIT: nobody is vocalizing either, but the black cat has her tail down when walking around with him.

Why do my cat occasionally lift his right paw when drinking water?
Sometimes my cat just lifts his right paw when drinking water like for 20 seconds just sipping water holding his right paw up, and I'm pretty sure he's not injured in any way, I inspected the first couple times but not any more, he's fine. He's walking around all fine and dandy just as he always has. ( Fyi I got him a couple months ago after my uncle passed I took him in, he's 10 yrs old, human yrs)

What’s this bump on my cat’s back?
My cat has this weird bump on his back. I think it’s a wart. My wife thinks it’s a tick. Cat doesn’t care. It’s not hurting him. Just curious.
I also posted a pic of my cat because he’s awesome.

Are British Shorthair cat's cheeks all fur or fat?
Ever since I first saw British Shorthair cats I've wondered if those chubby cheeks are all fur or actual fat because look at them. They're so squish-inducing.

Why does my cat suddenly always want to be in my room?
I’ve had my cat for 7 years and he would never come into my room or sleep in my room but for the last week he has been in here every single day and he stays the whole day and night just on my bed with me. He leaves at around 5am and then he comes back in at 8am and he doesn’t leave until 5am the next day. He just sleeps the whole time. I want him in here ofc but I’m so anxious and I’ve convinced myself there must be something wrong with myself or him. We have other people in the house so it can’t be because he’s lonely. Should I be worried?

New cat owner!!!
Hi so I just got a new cat almost a week ago. He’s a stray and I found him outside (I asked around if he was owned and was told that he was just a stray and does not belong to anyone), and since then I’ve took him in and my bf has been helping me care for him.
We took him to the vet a few days ago for a physical exam and we were told that he’s about 3-4 years old and he currently weighs 11.4lbs. I have never owned a pet, so I don’t know anything about owning a cat. He doesn’t like to drink water out of his water bowl so I’ve been mixing it in with his wet food, but I’d love some advice please because he’s been very active at night and is more chill during the day which has been affecting my sleep big time :((( I’m in nursing school so I’d like to make his sleep schedule similar to mine… also what treats, toys, and items should I get him?? Pls help!!!!

Are my cats getting along?
I have had my cat, Violet (3), since January, we adopted another senior alongside her who unfortunately passed away in June. They never really interacted because the senior was sick and was always sleeping.
Fast forward to August and we adopt our new cat, Hank (1). Hank is a very touchy and playful, always wanting attention from Violet, me, and my Wife. Violet is not as attention seeking although she will play and always asks for belly rubs when I get home from work.
They will watch birds together and cuddle together while licking each other. They will chase each other around the house. Sometimes Hank will get bitey and Violet will hiss.
I’ve never owned cats before who so I’m not sure if this behavior is them getting along. I’ve read that them licking each other could be them trying to assert dominance over the other one. I’m just a little confused

Why is my cat so obsessed with grapes?
Anytime I try to eat grapes in my apartment he's immediately on me and won't leave my side until I put them away, he constantly tries to shove his head into the bag when I'm eating them. Whenever I open the fridge he runs over so he can try and shove his face into the compartment that I keep them in. My other cat doesn't care about them and neither has any other cat I've had in the past, he's the only one I've ever had that's done this. I know they're toxic for cats so I won't ever give him any, I'm just curious as to why this behavior is so consistent and why he's so passionate about grapes

Questions about taking local cats? (repost kinda)
I didn't feel like I worded it well enough last time.
There's a group of outdoor cats a block away from me.
Previously thought they were a feral colony that was being taken care of by the neighborhood (which they are being fed by neighbors)
But when I went and pet some last time a man in their car (I only saw his arm hanging out because I was at the back end)
He then asked if I liked his cats and that one had eye surgery and is blind.
I doubt that because other than runny eyes and hair loss around the eyes the cat can see.
Since I thought that they were just a colony that didn't belong to anyone I thought of just taking some of them when I get my own place (I'm 19 and moving out soon)
I already had permission to take a cat from a neighbor across the street. But what's the illegality of this is there any?
Most of the cats aren't fixed and those that are,are only because of T.N.R.
