Headed to Keystone in early November and hoping the mountain is at least a little open. never skied on the WRoD before and wondering if its safe to bring my new board or just plan on using the old one this early in the season?

Heading to Breck this Friday through Monday and am curious if I can get by with my AWD CR-V and all-season tires in the event of a snowstorm.
I’ve lived in Denver my whole life but admittedly haven’t done much winter mountain driving. My tires are Yokohama Avid Ascend LXs, and the forecast is calling for snow over the weekend, potentially picking up quite a bit on Monday.
I know the forecast can change at any moment, but I want to be prepared just in case. Considering how infrequently I drive in the mountains during winter, do you think I’d be okay with my current setup, or should I look into winter/all weather options?

For those of us who regularly ski the front range because of its relative location to Denver, will you be getting any season or multi-day passes to ski the San Juans this year? I realize it is too early to predict anything with any real certainty, but things down there look to be shaping up pretty good. If so, what passes are you looking at getting?

Looking for 1-2 more members for our ski share in wildernest, Silverthorne. 3BR (1 king room, 2 rooms each with a queen and a twin), outdoor hot tub, ample parking. Lots of couches, extra loft space, etc. No pets allowed (sorry!!)

This is not full time housing.

Looking for someone like most of us, will be using it a couple nights a week at most. Most of us are 30-40 and work full time jobs in Denver, so looking for similar profile…

Monthly cost roughly ~500/month Dec-Apr but final amount depends on our final count.

Lost 100lbs and decided I wanted to try snowboarding. Currently 250lbs, 5’10.

Is it even possible? Are there other big guys on the hill? I work out 5 days a week and feel like I’m in the best shape I have ever been, but not sure if this is possible.

We think a midweek opening is going to happen or they will wait till the weekend?

Considering doing ski lessons this winter for my wife and I. We are both comfortable doing blues, and looking to get more comfortable doing blacks. We also have Ikon passes. Where should we go ? Is group setting ok?

Another question - any ski instructors here who would do lessons separate from the typical mountain staff ?

Was checking the cams today at A-basin and saw this donkey hanging out. Anyone know anything about this?

Early warning for everyone, be safe out there. First group of three dropped no issue. Sounded icy for the first person.. next group of three dropped. It was the third (6th) person that triggered the slide. I'm sure more details and pictures will follow

I live in Denver and my birthday is soon so was planning on going to A-basin where I have a pass on November 4-7 but it’s looking a little iffy. What do you all think?
