Boston Calling is officially set to return June 4–6 next year, but there's little real evidence the festival is actually going to happen.

Why it matters: It's still early, but festival organizers have offered no lineup, ticket sales or substantive update since announcing the cancellation of the 2026 event.

What they're saying: "About half the time, almost 60% of the time, that festivals go on hiatus, they simply don't come back, even if they have the best intentions," Northeastern music professor Andrew Mall told Axios.

State of play: There is complete radio silence from the festival's organizers.

• The Boston Calling website still lists the 2027 dates and Harvard venue, but the rest of the site's content is about the 2025 edition.

Hi Boston calling. We are coming to visit in June for the World Cup. We have a week free between the two games that Scotland will play in Boston. Where should we go see? We are thinking Martha’s Vineyard but what else can you suggest

So I went to Northeastern and graduated class of 2016. During my time, I befriended a ton of Berklee students, and was at the school so much that I actually did a few projects without the professors knowing that I didn't actually go there.

They were all in the music production world, so I got to use the studios and really learn how to record and set up mics, mix, and be a professional in the studio.

Since then, I moved to LA. I released some songs that I actually recorded at the then-new Berklee studios on Mass Ave. Those songs "blew up" to an extent. Enough at least that I got noticed as a producer and was asked to produce music for 6LACK, Khalid, Saint JHN and a lot more.

I owe a lot to Berklee because of those songs. And I'm actually now going to go on tour and return to Boston for the first time since all of this with this project called Pink Skies.

We're playing March 24th @ The Middle East. I wanted to share that in the hope I guess to inspire and also would love to meet any Berklee hustlers out there who want to talk about music production in LA or learn about live production, lighting, MD work, random ableton stuff.

Just got my brown Boston calling zip up in Medium and it’s too big, anyone have a Small they’d want to exchange?

Anyone find that the Boston Calling hoodies (BC25 Dirty Laurel Hoodie) from this year run crazy small? I bought at the concert and checked out the sizes in person before ordering but the Medium I received this week is super small.
