Not sure the video shows it perfectly, but I tried my best. Basically, you'll see me open the map and hover over the fast travel station. I then cannot hover over any other icon on the map and get tooltips / info (i.e what quest belongs to which waypoint, which quest is shown with a !). The second time I open the map, you can see that before I hover over the fast travel station, there's no issue with seeing any other icons' info.
Really annoying, but I'm also not certain if this is a glitch or if I need to change a setting or something. Any help would be appreciated.
For added context, I'm playing in fullscreen 16:9 on PC via Steam - I have also tested in Borderless and get the same issue.

From confusing game mechanics and intense Arms Race runs to frustrating crashes caused by cosmetic DLC, Borderlands 3 still gives players plenty to talk about!
What's your biggest love or frustration with the game? Is there a feature you wish worked differently, or a change that would make your experience even better? Let's hear your thoughts, Vault Hunters!

I tried playing for a bit, but I barely managed to get past the second area of โโthe game; it keeps freezing, and Iโm getting a LiveKernel 141 error even at lower resolutions or with DirectX 11, Iโm able to run other games just fine, both before and after BL3, itโs only this one thatโs having this issue.
Iโm playing with an Asus TUF 1660 Ti, an i5-10400F, and 16GB of RAM; from what Iโve search, I shouldnโt be getting these errors, as the components are more than capable.

Every time a Hellwalker drops, my brain just goes "yep, we're using this."
I know there are plenty of other good weapons in BL3, and depending on the build, some are obviously better. But there's just something about pulling out the Hellwalker and watching enemies disappear.
I'll be trying out different guns for a while, then end up going back to it like I never left ๐

Hey everyone. Could you guys suggest a good build for Moze to use while playing through the campaign?
I know itโs possible to beat the game with any buildโand Iโm sure 100 people are about to jump in and say "just level up whatever you like" or "read the skill descriptions"โbut I personally prefer playing with an "overpowered" (meta) build. I want to use the best setup possible to make the playthrough as smooth and comfortable as I can.
So, for the experienced players out there: could you please recommend a solid, up-to-date build for the campaign?
Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I think one of the most frustrating things about Borderlands 3 is when optional cosmetic content creates problems with the actual game. Skins and customization items should make the experience more enjoyable, not leave players wondering whether installing a pack will make their game unstable.
It's especially annoying in a looter-shooter where people can spend hours farming gear, testing Moze builds, and working toward specific loadouts. The last thing you want is a technical issue interrupting your progress or forcing you to troubleshoot content that was supposed to be purely cosmetic.
I know crashes can have different causes, and not every reported issue necessarily comes from the same DLC. But if a cosmetic pack is consistently triggering crashes for players, that deserves attention instead of being treated as a minor inconvenience.
Optional cosmetics should never come at the expense of basic game stability. I'd rather have fewer customization options that work reliably than more content that creates problems for the people trying to enjoy the game.
Borderlands 3 still has plenty to offer, especially with its build variety and replayability. That's exactly why technical issues like these are so frustrating: the game is fun enough that players want to keep playing, and they shouldn't have to fight crashes to do it.

I love games where you can forget about everything else and just get lost in the world for hours. Borderlands 3 has so many memorable moments, characters, and crazy loot drops. What moment would you love to experience again for the first time?

Honestly, I think Borderlands 3 is at its best when the loot makes you want to keep playing just to see what ridiculous build you can come up with next.
There's something satisfying about finding a legendary that completely changes how you approach combat. Suddenly, you're experimenting with different skills, farming for better gear, and replaying encounters because the weapon itself makes the grind enjoyable.
That's why I don't think every progression system needs to be packed with extra challenges, currencies, or repetitive objectives. Vault Card keys can give you another reason to play, but if earning them starts feeling like a chore, the reward stops being exciting.
The same goes for side missions. I don't mind a weird or ridiculous quest if it has entertaining dialogue or an interesting payoff. What annoys me is when a mission stretches a simple task into a bunch of unnecessary traveling and waiting.
Borderlands is a looter-shooter. The loot should make the grind fun, not become an excuse to add more grinding.
What's one legendary weapon in BL3 that you keep coming back to, even when you have plenty of other options?

There's something satisfying about finding a weapon that just feels right, even when there are other options with better stats. Borderlands 3 has so many legendary guns that everyone seems to have a favorite. Which one do you always end up going back to?

Folks keep asking what the best in the game are so let's try the inverse:
What's a mission they couldn't make you do again for any kind of reward?

I'm playing bl3 for the first time on PS5. I activated a vault card at the very beginning of the game. I've got 6 of the 11 story based trophies and I'm character/player level 33. But my vault card is only level 4. I have 1 vault card key. The vault chests have gave me random items so far.
So my questions are these:
* Do the vault card keys only come from vault card chests randomly, when you level it up?
* Are the daily challenges worth going out of my way for?
* Are vault card items shared between playthrus/characters?
* Do you level the vault card system faster when you're a higher level? (level 50+ gives better vault card xp?)

Borderlands 3 has no shortage of powerful guns, but sometimes the most fun weapon isnโt necessarily the one with the highest damage. ๐ฅ
Some legendaries just feel too satisfying, have unique effects, or make every fight more entertaining to give up. Whatโs one legendary weapon you always come back to, even when you know there are stronger options? And what makes it so special to you?

I swear every time I start a new playthrough of BL3 I tell myself I'm just gonna do the main story this time.
Then I see a side quest, do that, end up halfway across the map, find a bunch of stuff to loot, and suddenly I've been playing for 3 hours and barely made any story progress ๐
Some of these side quests are so weird too. I genuinely can't tell if the writers were cooking or just throwing random ideas at a wall.
What's a side quest you always stop to do, even when you're trying to rush through the story?
r/borderlands3 • u/sweetVelours • 2d ago
Starting a new character in BL3 really reminds you how much chaotic fun this game packs in. But beyond the main story, some side quests are so bizarre, hilarious, or unexpectedly good that they deserve way more attention.
Which side quest genuinely surprised you, made you laugh out loud, or stuck with you long after you finished it? And which one would you recommend to someone starting a fresh playthrough?
Bonus points if itโs a hidden gem most players skip!
r/borderlands3 • u/PuffyGlimmer • 1d ago
I swear choosing a Vault Hunter is its own endgame.
You open the character select screen thinking you'll try someone new, then start thinking about builds, skills, legendary gear, and how much fun your last character was. Next thing you know, you're back on your old main.
And even after you finally pick someone, you start wondering if you should've picked someone else ๐

I feel like side quests are easy to rush through when you're focused on the main story, but some of them end up being more memorable than the actual campaign missions.
I'm thinking of starting another playthrough and taking my time with the optional content instead of skipping half of it.
Which side quests would you recommend revisiting, whether for the humor, the story, the rewards, or just how ridiculous they get? Bonus points if there's one you think most players overlook.
