Technician Flair Request Thread - New
If you would like to have verified flair added we will need a pic that has your reddit name on a piece of paper with your shop in the background or work truck if mobile repair.
For the professional technicians we're doing Verified Tech flair along with a very short description of your experience if you'd like. You can be a dealer/independent tech, retired, instructor, fleet, heavy equipment, small engine repair, lube/tire tech etc...
You can either send that to me in a chat request or upload the pic to an image hosting site like imgur.com (we had to disable the option to upload pics in the comments because of abuse). The option to attach a pic in chat will be available after I accept the invite. Please do not use modmail
We will also do Shadetree flair for those that do auto repair as more of a hobby than profession. Approval of this flair is not guaranteed.

Switched from Infiniti to Nissan and I’m not sure if I need to confirm the change or not to have flair changed.

Would a copy of my ASE certificate or Honda certificate work?

Your Honda cert would work. You can cover your name and don't forget to have you reddit name in the pic.

I don’t work again for a few days, can I just submit a photo or schedule as proof?

Depends on what the photo is of. And would still need your reddit name written down on something in the pic.

I am an ASE Master Tech, Have been for 25 years,, before that I was just a dumb ass learning to fix Dodge, Chrysler and Jeeps, at the dealership.
Do you want to a picture of my ASE card? I also have a 25-year plaque recognizing my achievement, ASE sent it to me a few years ago.
I got a ton of Gold tool awards over the years and was given a lot of nice stuff.

I have 2013 kia optima no crank no start. I want to turn the motor over using the starter solenoid relay. There is no relay in the fuse box where it should be. I have already installed a new battery, anyone know where this relay is located....?

Requesting verified tech flair. GM at 2 independent shops in central CT. Was a tech for about 10 years before making my way into management. Would like some sort of "independent shop technician" flair as ive seen every type of vehicle come through the shop unlike dealerships. verification pictures

Requesting Verified Tech flair. I’m an ASE Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician and Senior Fleet Technician. Verification photo: https://imgur.com/a/wtu92S8
If possible, I’d like the flair to read: Verified Tech | ASE Master | Senior Fleet Technician

I am an independant technician in Lithuania, EU.
I specialise in Peugeot and Citroen brands, also some affiliated brands, that uses Peugeot diesel motors or made badge-engineered platforms together. And now - even some more, as PSA bought more european and american brands and formed Stellantis.
13+ years of experience, self made.

Requesting Technician Flair. I was a GM dealership technician for 15 years. I specialized in Hybrids and EV’s. 5 years ago, I transitioned to assembly plant manufacturing quality but I still dabble in the repair space.
Thanks.

I’m an independent tech/ mobile mechanic working on opening my own shop. I can answer most questions that’ll come across this group. I will from time to time ask questions for the more senior techs but will be more diagnostic focused when I’m completely stuck and I’d rather ask people instead of ai. If need be I can send pictures of work/ answer questions to prove I know what I’m talking about
