As Android devices become more sophisticated and feature packed, it seems like it's more difficult to have excellent battery life.

In this thread, share your best tips and tricks on how to solve any battery problem. Any apps you use? Things to disable? How to diagnose problems? List it all.

If you want your phone to charge a little more quickly or if you are in a hurry then just put your phone in Airplane Mode and then let it charge.

It will charge substantially faster because all the radios will be switched off.

Helped me a lot.

Or just turn it off and charge even faster. Since you're on airplane mode anyway, you won't be doing much.

You can turn on airplane mode, then turn on wifi, and it keeps your phone/data radios off.

Exactly, you may as well turn it off and save even more time. Ideally you'd not be using your phone while charging if you're in that much of a hurry (:

And use a very short USB cable. Seriously.

Specifically, you want a 28/24 gauge cable.
