Question How long should we keep screenshots as evidence?

Before & at the end of every route, I record a video of my itinerary. I also take photos and screenshots along the way if I think there's an issue that could lead to a ding. Amazon makes stuff up, so I try to proactively record evidence of all deliveries completed on time. My question is, how long should I keep this evidence? Is two weeks long enough, and then I can delete?

Day 2: Tried Fresh deliveries, how often are tips?

It appears a drawback of Fresh vs sub-same day deliveries is the payment wasn’t instant after the block (no clue why they don’t pay out the base pay instantly if they want to allow for 24 hours for tip adjustments).

I finished a 2 hour block with enough time to have driven back to the station. Is that typical?

Google implies Fresh might automatically suggest $5 tips, so are tips frequent? If so, that could make $30+/hr seem the norm? (Chicago suburbs)

Still trying to figure out how schedule blocks. Do you typically do whatever you first want, and wait to schedule another until later? Or is it possible to do say 4:15-6:15 and have a 6:30-8:30 booked as well and normally you’d always make it back in time? Thank you

Austin Extremely rural routes made me finally quit.

I live in South Central Texas, my station fucking loves sending me to kempner and Salado. I honestly thought about just saying fuck it and returning all 15 packages going to Salado today. But I only ended up returning 5. Salado is a complete shithole of a city, if you can even call it a city. It is dirt with some trees, and it seems like everyone who orders from that fuck ass place lives in a 100 square foot trailer down an unamed, unpaved, pothole filled road.

I had five packages left at the end of my block that normally would've taken 10 minutes, but would've taken 40 minutes if I had actually finished the route.

I was supposed to go down this 10 mile dirt road, and at the end is where a village of these people lived. I had five deliveries to complete, I was driving 5 MPH trying my best to not hit multiple potholes, then I get to what seems like a mini lake, with a a make shift bridge. I contemplated, then decided it's not worth it, made a fucking 100 point turn to go the other way, and just returned the rest of the packages to the station.

This gig is beyond cooked, the mileage, the rural routes, already gotta fight the 2007 Corolla mafia, their 10 phones, and their bots to even get routes that pay like shit. I'm done.

I'm sick of the time I spend (waste) scrolling, browsing, exchanging, hedging constantly within the offers and calendar tabs just to determine when, where, and how I decide to slowly kill my car. There really isnt a right answer for any of this.

It will never be enough money, because that's not what it's here for.

People in Maryland, Forestville (DWD6) sucks so bad! The pay is terrible, and they send us all the way to DC or Virginia during rush hour. It’s ridiculous!

Early block on morning.

If I pick a 3-4am block. Can I load these packages to my car and sleep in the station until the sun comes out like around 7am and start delivery? Will this hurt my account and be late in my account? Since early blocks price are super good. Anyone doing this. Before?

Undelivered Package email

Post image

Had a block on Saturday- 4 hours 17 packages.

Delivered all with no issues then got this email today saying I didn’t try deliver all packages. I had no packages to return or a notice to do so. My thing is if you don’t deliver a package the app prompts you to do a return or it won’t let you schedule till you have.

I’ve scheduled and completed 4 blocks since then. So this email has to be a glitch right??

Help Issues with NFC Kiosks

I’m new to Flex and so far, I’ve been only doing Amazon Now since that fits my schedule. At the Amazon Now sites, I only have 5 mins before and 5 mins after my block start time to check in, but I’ve been having issues with the Flex app working with the NFC kiosks.

So far, I’ve missed 3 blocks because the app can’t start the NFC scan. I’ve attached a screenshot of what I see after I check in. As you can see, there is no NFC scanning pop-up. When I click check-in nothing happens. In theory, the screenshot with the “ready to scan” message I’ve also included should pop up.

This is completely hit and miss. I’ve even rebuilt my phone completely over the weekend to make sure it’s not an issue with my phone. The only thing that seems to sometimes fix it is if I do a reboot before the scan. With a 10 min check-in window, there just isn’t enough time to do that before each block.

Has anyone run into something similar? If so, how did you fix it?

Bingo Game Scam.

Guys, you don’t actually receive gift cards; you receive a “discount” on them.

I expected a $5 gift card but learned it was a “discount” instead. This would be less frustrating if every option weren’t priced at $50 or more.

For example, a $25 “gift card” would actually be a discount on a $50 card, so you would pay the difference yourself to use it.

I was looking forward to a $5 DoorDash gift card but was surprised to find I had to spend $50 on a DoorDash card and have $5 discounted from that amount.

It feels pretty disappointing.

Congratulations to those who did win over $50, since that would cover a full card.

WTH Amazon?!

I had fifteen packages today for rural area. At the end of my last delivery, I got a message saying to head back to DFL3 to get more packages and that it would take an hour and 40 mins to get there. My block ended at 5 and this was at 445. Um NO. I gotta hold of support. And they acted like it was a big deal to have those taken off of my itinerary. But they would do me the favor of removing them. Like what the heck is that?!!!

I scanned the one package but couldn't continue without scanning the Barcode Unknown. Driver Support was no help. Actually hung up on me. Chat wasn't any better. Manager at warehouse was supposed to take the one package off, but it still shows it. Anyone encounter this?

Los Angeles I’m having issues with getting paid out.

I’ve completed a total of five blocks since October 18, and I haven’t seen a dime of payment from any of those blocks. The block I had first done on the 18th was my very first one, and I had the payment go to a debit card that wasn’t the Amazon Flex debit account and I assumed it would reach the intended account by the two business days it said it would. When I saw that it didn’t, I decided to opt in for the Amazon Flex debit account, seeing as that it would be instant pay and I could access my funds more immediately, however, that turned out not to be the case, and the resulting four blocks that I’ve completed state that they’ve been paid (along with the first) on the app, yet when I check the Amazon flex debit account app, I have a balance of $0. I’ve already tried to escalate this through the chat and through talking to customer service. I just wanna know if anybody else has had this kind of issue and what kind of timeline I’m looking at to finally get my funds into my account so I can stop stressing about money.

Why TF Does Amazon Flex Expect Drivers to Return Packages for FREE?!

Can someone explain why Amazon Flex thinks it’s acceptable to require independent contractors to return undeliverable packages to the station without additional compensation?
We get paid to DELIVER packages, NOT make unpaid return trips!
Today, I had packages with nonexistent or incorrect addresses. Obviously, I couldn’t deliver them. Now I’m expected to drive back to the station, burn additional gas, put more miles on my vehicle, and meet Amazon’s return deadline—all without an extra dime?
How is that reasonable?
Let’s be clear:
Amazon provides the delivery information. If an address doesn’t exist, that’s not the driver’s fault.
We’re independent contractors. Our time, gas, mileage, and vehicle maintenance aren’t free.
Returns can take drivers significantly out of their way. Some of us finish routes 30–60+ minutes away from the station.
Amazon imposes return deadlines. So not only are we performing additional unpaid work, we’re being told WHEN to complete it.
And before someone says, “Well, that’s part of the job,” why SHOULD it be? Just because a company includes something in its policies doesn’t automatically make it reasonable or fair.
If Amazon can track every single delivery, every minute of our routes, and every package that needs to be returned, surely it can figure out how to compensate drivers for additional return mileage and time.
My position is simple: If Amazon requires a return trip to the warehouse, Amazon should PAY for that trip. PERIOD.
At minimum, drivers should receive additional compensation when returns result from incorrect addresses, inaccessible locations, or circumstances completely outside their control.
And if this is supposedly already factored into our block pay, then Amazon needs to be transparent about how much time and mileage it’s accounting for.
I’m curious: How many of you are making unpaid return trips, and has anyone successfully received additional compensation for them?
Because at some point, we need to stop accepting every inconvenience as “just part of being an independent contractor.”
Independent contractor shouldn’t mean FREE LABOR.
