Signing/s Michael Wilson Contract Conundrum
Wassup cards fans, It seems crazy to not pay Wilson a little bit more to have your legit #2 locked in before kickoff, no? In general, recently, every time the team waits or makes the player holdout, or tags the player, it ends up worse and every early WR re-signing even a little generous seems smarter a year later.
He won't negotiate after game 1 kicks off....if you are Monti and the writing is on the wall with this schedule, your record is like 1-7 entering week 9 and you know for sure your only options left are tagging this guy or letting him walk and get paid. Tagging him seems counter to your hard negotiating strat, and letting him walk to a contender as a FA seems like mismanagement. Does pushing more targets to Harrison help you negotiate with him next year?
In a lost season, you pay him a bit more for the next 3-4 years and just eat the little bit higher aav, also can't hurt your Harrison negotiations no? Or trade him in the next 10 days.
Why this status quo, is a pre game 1 contract imminent?
EDIT: CLEARLY IT WAS THIS POST AND OUR GENERAL DISCUSSION THAT PUSHED THIS DEAL OVER THE FINISH LINE. WE DID THIS.

Signing/s Chad Ryland
Ryland is an RFA this off-season. Honestly, he didn't impress me much, between a lower FG% in 2025 compared to 2024 and the bad kickoff in the home game against Seattle.
Looking at the list of current free agent kickers, there are some names I'd be more interested in than bringing Ryland back, including Eddy Pineiro and Riley Patterson.
What do you all think?

Signing/s Current FA RB
Do we need to add a vet RB?
Currently these guys are available that I’d like to add to the RB room now that JC is out: Zack Moss Jamaal Williams Gus Edwards Chase Edmunds
I think Benson can handle lead back and carries but we need someone that’s solid in pass protection and that we can trust in pressure situations. My personal preference would be Williams. Plus that dude would be great in the locker room.

Signing/s Got to meet the man himself, Mr RON WOLFLEY last year at a charity event
Grew up listening to 98.7 with my dad, and Wolfley was always our favorite. Was working a Fill the Boot for Muscular Distrophy event last year at a fry’s in East Phoenix, and the GOAT was getting some groceries and agreed to take a picture. Found this picture again and wanted to share with my fellow BASINONIANS. Pretty cool guy
