Is there any AI that can draw data on publications, citations and H-index for researchers from bibliographic databases?
I'd like to know which doctor in a particular country has the best scientific output, I've tried asking Gemini and ChatGPT to get me publications and citations counts and H-indices from Scopus or Web of Science or Google Scholar and both gave me wrong numbers. When asked why they can't do this, they say these databases are subscription based services and they don't have access. They couldn't do it from Google Scholar, either, tho.
Is there any AI that WOULD be able to do this or any way to get around this problem?

adding to the OpenAlex suggestion: Scopus has a free author lookup (Scopus Preview) that shows h-index and citation counts without a subscription, one author at a time iirc. for Google Scholar numbers there's Publish or Perish, a free desktop app.
just compare inside one source, the same person's h-index can differ a lot between Scopus and Scholar. how many doctors are you comparing?

A prompt wont fix this anyway. Gemini and ChatGPT gave you wrong numbers because they can't get into the databases, so they guess figures that look believable.
Google Scholar has no proper way for tools to read it in bulk and blocks automated access, which is why that failed too.
Maybe look at OpenAlex, a free, open alternative to Scopus and Web of Science.
