You can ask anything about Old School RuneScape or the 2007scape subreddit here. Remain respectful to your fellow 'scapers when answering questions; there are stupid questions, but it does not mean you should not be respectful whilst answering them.
Keep in mind: this is not a developer Q&A thread - Jagex mods do not regularly read these posts, so questions should be directed toward fellow players.

For some reason, my brain just saw the map layout and immediately thought "oh this is a city with roads for cars and stuff."
I imagine a few people have warped perception of this game from when they were a kid. Like the distance from Varrock to Falador being long when, in actuality, it's literally just a 2 minute walk.

I’m a deaf OSRS player, and I’ve really enjoyed The Fractured Archive!
I love how bosses use overhead dialogue to warn us about mechanics:
* Archive Guardian: Warns who is being targeted.
* Bork & Smorks: Yell before big bombs, cannon attacks, and tank-targeting mechanics.
* Dreadnoth: Gives a warning around 25% HP before a dangerous attack.
* Fourth encounter: Relies more on visual mechanics and positioning.
* Ocellus: Uses dialogue across different phases to signal major attacks.
Being able to read these warnings helps me predict attacks, switch prayers, and move without relying on sound.
I’m not asking for easier bosses, just clear visual warnings so deaf players can enjoy challenging PvM too!
I hope Jagex continues this design for Raids 5 and future bosses.
Thank you, Jagex! ❤️

The Sunspear special attack is supposed to roll "70% of your max attack roll" when the enemy's HP is below 70% of your max hit.
The max hit calculation is working as intended.
However, when the special attack checks if the enemy's hp is "below 70% of your max hit" it does NOT use your max hit.
Against vampyres and venators, the Sunspear's max hit is multiplied by 1.5x, but during the accuracy calculation of the special attack, it is comparing the the enemy's HP to the pre-damage-boosted max hit.
So if your max hit is 70, you would expect the Sunspear to be 100% accurate when the enemy is below 49 hp, but in practice it is only 100% accurate when the enemy is below 32hp.

Ever since the concept art came out i always thought it looked like a 4 way traffic light, not sure if this joke was already made. and of course it would switch light every game tick and if hit on green u do more damage and on red it would hurt u.

I'm not sure how long this has been in the game but it's really cool. Its in the Barbarian village north of Draynor, west of Varrok. When you go inside there are these doors that you pass through that ask you security questions (I guess that's where it gets the name from.) But anyway, if you answer the questions correctly you get to go into the middle and collect some coins and at the bottom are some really cool boots.
Some of the questions were about setting up bank pins, setting up 2FA, not sharing your password or account with ANYONE, and not trusting links from strangers. Its pretty neat. I would suggest going there before you take on TFA. Not for any particular reason. Also coincidentally, has anyone noticed a rise in "I got hacked" posts? Probably unrelated.
