oh jeez it's almost like banning those subs was actually a bad idea

I would prefer keeping their little subs around so they don't move to others and start ruining them.

You know, seeing all this posts makes me wonder, is there any subreddit dedicated to this? Like, ball versions of subreddits, websites, etc. I should and shouldn't be surprised if there is knowing that there are subreddits like r/planetball

I just love how the mods stop taking posting requests during the once-a-year event when everyone wants to post.
They're like the McDonald's ice cream machine.

Replace the generic sub with r/politicalcompassmemes and it's a foreshadowing

Yea the difference between r/politicalcompassmemes before and after GRU got banned is pretty stark.

What changes have you noticed? I'm not very active, so I haven't been able to tell

0/10 you forgot MDE.

I wanted to use MDE but decided to go with GRU instead since zoomers are more acquainted with it.

For the biggest while it was pretty good, towards the end it degenerated. 90% of users there weren't there for cringe, they were there because it was a right-wing cesspool.

Adding a trans/gay (can't remember) mod to the staff was just throwing fuel into the fire, and the users decided to run the sub into the ground on purpose rather than to let themselves be controlled by the head admins
