What tf was Saul doing on an open rooftop in Peshawar? That’s the moment I knew he was going to be taken hostage (again)...

Wow,

Where were these episodes in the last two seasons? Amazing so far. I am sad this is the last season because it seems like they caught back on after kinda of slacking by.

Jenna fucked up bad, wow. This guy is a complete tool for not trusting Carrie especially since they worked together in the past

I wonder when Claire Daines husband is going to show up

Damn. Poor Saul :D

Season started really tense and it is keeping in that way. I like it.

Carrie would have checked source of that tip. This time she didn't. Looks like she didn't turn in Russia but probably gave something up or even made future plans while "giving something up on purpose". Cant wait for incoming episodes.

By the way, COS of CIA and this new Jenna is playing with fire. They think they can incriminate Carrie. They don't know who they are dealing with. Watch out kids.

I thought Jenna would be the new Carrie but she really blew that interview.

Well, that was fast. The story pace is awesome.

Now how did Yevgeny get an anonymous tip dropped off in a CIA station on Carrie's freaking desk?

OMG Yegveny is so slimy, the way he's manipulating Carrie is just nuts!

Another very good episode, feeling good vibes with this season!!

Is Yevgheny real? Is he a hallucination? Who cares, my sweet sweet evil Tasneem is back baby!!

*To everyone wondering who is behind the kidnapping of Saul. You seem to have forgotten that Tasneem back in 2014 made the CIA look like a bunch of low budget mall cops. She got the green light to “do whatever it takes”. Time for some next level 3D chess.

*Also for the record, Yevgheny is definitely real. After Carrie walks away from the other female officer they show the junior officer looking down on the lower level towards the exit. The camera then shows Yevgheny just as he is getting into the back seat of the car. If he was Carries hallucination they would not have shown him again while Carrie is no longer in the scene. Cinematic story telling 101.

Why does Pakistan want to prevent the Saul/Hakani meeting and prevent peace between Taliban/Afghanistan?

Great episode, this season is off on a good start so far!

But my one gripe is the Saul kidnapping plot again. I mean, this guy is now the NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR and he's still globetrekking boots-on-the-ground on a need-to-know basis as though he's still a CIA station chief?! No way that the White House would let their NSA run around like that? Can you imagine someone like Susan Rice or John Bolton doing that in the Middle East LMAO.

So happy the show has moved away back to it’s original espionage roots. It became too politically orientated the last couple of seasons.

Has Costa Ronin/Yevgeny the Russian been turned already and Carrie doesn't know? Is Yevgeny all in Carrie's mind (not really there)--is she seeing thing?

Are they trying to build up Jenna (the screw up) and give her a spin-off? She's no Carrie. Is Jenna a mole/Russian agent or something? Her mistake was HUGE.

All of the soldiers LOVING MAX and touching him and bringing him food!!!

Why did Saul get kidnapped and hit? He didn't set them up or is there some mole who did ? He seemed to be captured RIGHT AFTER the truck blew up---who did this? Is there a mole in Saul's universe?

Can someone explain this episode---generally confused (maybe I don't remember the past history---is there some brush up guide I should read)??

Saul’s going to die and Carrie will be on her own. I really don’t think Saul is getting out of this one. Happy to be wrong, though.

Once again, the season matches current events. Taliban Peace Deal Disrupted

7

u/armokrunner Feb 17 '20

Have to assume the traitor in the Taliban is Jalal since he’s the only other non-red shirt character on that group besides Haqqani and he’s a probably a young buck hardliner and was even heard arguing with his dad Haqqani so we know there’s conflict

Great pacing this season- for a few seasons now I've expecting things to only really kick off in Episode 4, but they're clearly wasting no time with Season 8
