Who came up with the whole "mic dropping from the ceiling" shtick?

u/MrAndersonAMA Mar 24 '18
That was actually Dave Lagana’s idea, at least Dave was the one who presented it to me. I loved it. I loved the idea that it was something unique that hadn’t been seen since the early days of boxing.

During your First Blood match with Undertaker at Survivor Series, he unleashes a nasty chairshot to your skull. Any reason why he put so much force into it?
151
u/MrAndersonAMA Mar 24 '18
It was just the way the chair folded because he held the legs differently. He held two of the legs and it just opened up on my head.

Mr Anderson shoots on Undertaker for deliberately holding chair wrong for head shot

At what moment in your career did you sit back and say to yourself "Man, this is really, really cool"?
292
u/MrAndersonAMA Mar 24 '18
The moment I had that feeling was when I first wrestled Undertaker on a house show and the lights went out and I heard the gong..."This is amazing...what a cool gig! How the fuck did I get here?"

In one of the WWE video games you send the player's character a voice message and sign off with your name. Like most people we close the message after you say Misterrr. . .
Immediately after we get another voice message from you that just has you saying 'KENNEDY'. Genuinely thought that was funny and awesome

Is it true that you were supposed to be Vince's illegimate son? Did they inform you anything noteworthy regarding that storyline?

You ever have to wrestle while needing to take a huge shit?

u/MrAndersonAMA Mar 24 '18
laughs
Almost every single match, I'll piss fifteen minutes before I hit the ring. Right before I go through the curtain, I realize I have to piss again. I don't know what it is. I don't think I've had to take a shit. If I have to take a shit, I'll go take a shit!
A running gag on our podcast...we ask every single guest if they've ever pooped themselves. So far, the answers have been pretty surprising!

As a professional wrestler and instructor, you understand wrestling and how it works better than any of us common fans. That said, is there a match or two that you or other pro wrestlers love that maybe doesn’t get the love and attention it deserves?
Thanks.

The match at Summerslam where Brock beat the fuck out of Cena. I thought it was great, Cena did a fantastic job of selling. It was believable, it made sense.

I don't think it works with Anderson, but when you were announcing yourself as "Mr. Kennedy........ Kennedy", were you announcing your full name (Kennedy Kennedy) or just repeating your last name twice ?

u/MrAndersonAMA Mar 24 '18
A body slam. People always over-rotate you and slam your tailbone into the mat.

How did you feel about Super Crazy not advancing in the Beat the Clock Challenge match you had with him in 2007 when he beat you? The announcers said he didn't qualify because the match was for YOU to qualify, not for both wrestlers.
