I just ran the Kiste mobile defense on ceres to test it and a prosecutor spawned during the second terminal so they are able to spawn, the chance may just be low. I believe the capture information may be outdated, ever since they took a stance against endless spawns after the target is captured/adding bleedout.

Is there a way to increase riven capacity without first having to have max rivens and then getting another one from sorties? Because I've looked all over the mod menu and there doesn't seem to be an option for that. My current capacity is 24, but I want to increase it

1

u/xoxoyoyo May 26 '19

look in market search for riven?

1

u/grevenilvec75 May 25 '19

On PS4 so can't play disruption yet, but did I really see on the devstream or something that if you're bad at it you'll get 3 rotation As? I thought they said that if you're good you can get rewards faster, not that bad/solo players would get nerfed. As a solo player, am I likely to be fucked over by this?

1

u/NeoG3nesis May 26 '19

The mode entails you defend 4 conduits, but the defence only starts when you kill an amalgam enemy, take its key and place it in the appropriate console. This spawns a demolyst: an enemy that will run straight for th conduit and try to blow it up. If you kill the demolyst, the defence is completed. The conduit is immune to all enemy damage except the demolyst, so there is no need to babysit it. It is easier in a group as you can find the demolyst faster with more people, but if you play solo, you can defend one conduit at a time and it shouldn't be too hard

1

u/grevenilvec75 May 26 '19

can you CC the Demolyst? (I'm a Nidus main)

So is it possible to get an AAA rotation somehow? or was that changed after that devstream?

1

u/NeoG3nesis May 26 '19

Regarding CC: It can teqnichally be sortof CC'd but it has resistance against abilities and will spawn a nullifying field every few seconds so that isn't effective that much.

About the rotations, here's how they work: A round is over when all 4 conduits have been defended or destroyed. In round 1, defending all 4 conduits gives a reward from tier B and defending 3 or less gives a reward from tier A. In round 2, defending 3 or more conduits gives a reard from tier B and defending 2 or less gives a reward from tier A. In round 3, defending all 4 conduits gives a reward from tier C, defending 2 or 3 conduits gives a reward from tier B and only defending 1 gives a tier A reward. From round 4 and every round after that, defending 3 or more conduits gives a reward from tier C and defending 2 or less gives a reward from tier B.

So to answer that, if you are very bad at this mode and only defend 1 conduit every round, you will get only tier A rewards for 3 rounds, but after that, from round 4 onwards you will only ever get tier B or C rewards, even if you only manage to defend 1 conduit

I'm a player coming back from a long break and was wondering how I can get Nitain seeing as there aren't any alerts anymore. Additionally how do I get the GOTL from the recent devstream or are those no longer 24 hour alerts?

2

u/Reaverz May 24 '19

Until they release the second round of nightwave you functionally can't get Nitain. Sure you can get it from caches in sabotage, but that is 1%, sure you can get it from the ghoul event (when it is running) but that is only 5%. Just wait until the next chapter comes out.

GOTL is in the alert tab, as it always is.... lucky for you it's 10 nitain this week (or so I heard...)

1

u/DBrody6 May 23 '19

So you need 4000 points in the Endurance to acquire both vandal weapons. What exactly does that mean? How many points is defending a console worth?

2

u/StickmanAdmin May 24 '19

If you get 8 perfect towers, you'll get over 4000 points, takes about 23 min. That's all I know

1

u/xzenocrimzie May 22 '19

Why do all my operator cosmetics look like complete ass? I went looking and apparently they made some changes around 23.10 that cocked up a lot of the cosmetics. Specifically the Koppra Suit losing its little flappy bits around the waist, and the Manduka leggings not being coloured so you can actually see the thigh highs.

In 23.10.5 it said that the changes were reverted, but how am I still seeing them?

1

u/MiserableDoctor May 21 '19

how much time does it take to rot C in infested salvage with all 3 consoles in control (so high performance conditions)?

1

u/littlebitparanoid May 22 '19

IIRC one run solo was taking 10-12 minutes. If I'm not mistaken decryption is slower with more people.

1

u/Wave_Entity May 23 '19

i think having at least a partner makes it faster because finding enough drop thingies for the consoles can be a problem solo, not to mention routing between collecting the drops and getting them to the console if u get the harder map

1

u/littlebitparanoid May 23 '19

I used Ember for this when running solo. With World on Fire changed a while back she's got enough damage on it to kill infested fast (excluding ancients) so you'll get a lot of drops, and with lower range you won't be killing them too far. Charge up on Zenurik dash / energy pads, press 4 and run between consoles. Keeping high performance was pretty easy this way.

That said, after a while it got pretty boring... playing with a friend would definitely help in this regard.

1

u/Goldskarr May 21 '19

What happened to the melee system? Did they actually break the block combos? Are they ever going to change the move list, since unless I'm mistaken, those combos dont seem possible anymore?

1

u/StickmanAdmin May 21 '19

Melee 2.999 happened, read up about it. To execute block combos you need to melee once, then you can start holding block. If you just press right click before you melee you aim your weapon.

1

u/Goldskarr May 21 '19

I'm on console, and the main problem is LT, which used to be block and tbe move list still says is the way to do those combos, is the channeling button. I have tried your suggestion numerous times, replacing the input accordingly, and it doesnt work. Hell, I even tried to accurately represent the supposed input, as in not holding it for the whole combo like I used to and instead pressing it at the right time and still nada.

2

u/StickmanAdmin May 22 '19

I play on pc and have no warframe controller experience. I suggest making a new comment asking about help with melee with a controller :o hope you get it resolved

Market for ayatan sculptures:

It's usual to sell 6 filled anasas for 90. Is there also a set price like this for orta sculptures?

1

u/xoxoyoyo May 21 '19

http://warframe.market although prices seem a bit high but I imagine the cheap stuff sells fast

you build it same as any other, just use the riven for one of the damage mods. since it does not have any elements (a good thing) it will not mess up any build.

One of the things I regret was my habit as a new player of opening EVERYTHING. I can't tell you the amount of time I wasted doing that. Lockers do not contain anything special. Each one you open is going to waste 5 seconds getting to it and then opening it. Killing enemies makes the same drops as lockers. You are better off rushing the mission and repeating it than going slow and opening everything.

that being said there are syndicate missions. These are missions you gain access to when joining a syndicate and equipping their sigil (appearance tab) until you can run their missions. You can join the first 3 or last 3 syndicates without conflicts. These missions contain medallions. it is worthwhile to find them all (usually 8 per mission) since they can be turned in for affinity.

Also... there are crates. Although lockers are a waste of time crates are worthwhile to smash, and some abilities (like limbo's 4) can smash everything, in addition to a sentinel mod (and melee weapons). If you press M to view minimap then anything you see is either a crate or a medallion or ayatan and worth picking up.

1

u/lordreed May 20 '19
  1. Getting loot from canisters and lockers is slow. When you are more geared up and further along in the map you will utilize more efficient acquisition strategies. For now you can go ahead opening lockers and stuff.

  2. Yes at higher levels ammo management will become an issue. There is a better way then these mods though, it's the companion Carrier and its Prime variant.

  3. Stealth play is not like in other games so it's not really required except when doing spy missions and even then you can brute force it too.

2

u/Turtlewax64 May 20 '19
  1. in the early game, you still need the common resources, so it's worth it for you to open lockers and boxes, but people at endgame only need the rare stuff, so only bust open resource nodes they see that have the rare stuff. For your first few planets, you might actually get a better experience playing solo so you can take things at your own pace

  2. A few of the most ammo hungry, low damage weapons sometimes run out. Otherwise, ammo is functionally infinite

  3. Stealth tends to only exist in Spy Vaults and some very specialized farming builds as you learn the game. The way Warframe is balanced means we have the power to frappe, and our incentive is to get loot rewards as fast as possible. Stealth is slower than sprinting into a room and decapitating anyone who is in our way.

What is a good daily routine for endgamers? Right now for me it's sortie, loka+perrin syndicates, and simaris standing. What more or what else should i be doing daily?

2

u/xoxoyoyo May 19 '19

you can add red veil into the mix. If you also have not unlocked all focus skills you can max your focus/hunt eidoons until you do. you should also build forma a day. then there is nighwave and what comes next, if < than rank 30 those rewards are worth pursuing.

1

u/greenflame239 May 19 '19

Adding red bell is going to have to wait as my syn cap is 20k and I sell mods almost daily and I still need to buy syn stuff for myself.

1

u/xoxoyoyo May 19 '19

not sure what you are talking about. standing from mission rewards and also medallions is not capped. you just wear the sigil until you get access to the RV missions. then running their missions and turning in their medallions will rank up RV

1

u/dekuweku May 18 '19

New player here but I complated all my nightware missions.

I have 80 wolf creds left, have 47 extracts and most of the Auras (I didn't pick up the ammo ones)

Should I just bite the bullet and buy the Vauban blueprints to save myself having to get them later? I know the frame isn't great (or so I'm told). That or i can buy a potato or dump the rest in more extracts.

2

u/erythry May 19 '19 edited May 19 '19

Unless you have a long list of things you need to build requiring nitain, you may as well get his build out of the way. A recent devstream mentioned changes to his abilities, and at the very least he's 6k MR.

The potato isn't really worth it compared to the potential 25 nitain and can be easily purchased with plat, unlike Vauban who costs 300p. The other option is to buy four auras and sell them at a later date for platinum, which is a better investment than the potato.

1

u/Gallade0475 May 18 '19

Should I buy Rhino Prime’s parts or just shove a potato onto my Chroma Prime as is?

1

u/StickmanAdmin May 19 '19

They're both good frames. I'd say potato chroma if you enjoy him, and wait for rhino prime to be unvaulted to farm him

1

u/atlasdependent May 18 '19

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but why do Warframes I build have a mod capacity of 30 while Warframes I buy have a capacity of 60? I'm clearly missing something here, but none of the beginners guides I've watched seem to mention this.

2

u/xoxoyoyo May 18 '19

things you buy will come with an orokin reactor (catalyst for weapon) + a slot, so if you build a frame//weapon you have to make sure you have a slot available and then you need to build/buy a reactor/catalyst

1

u/atlasdependent May 18 '19

Awesome thanks! That explains why when you buy with plat it says comes with a reactor installed. Sweet now I can make my rhino, volt and frost properly viable.

1

u/greenflame239 May 19 '19

Please do not get into the habit of buying straight from the market, a significant amount of items are cheaper from other players or easily farmable. at the very least compare prices. Rhino costs 375 in the market and the rhino prime set cost 290. granted the market purchase is technically 40 plat cheaper as it comes with a warframe slot and orikin reactor (sometimes referred to as a potato, btw)

if you bring a sentinel, does it "steal" exp/focus by adding another thing to split between? sounds like it wouldn't as long as you don't equip a robot gun?

1

u/xoxoyoyo May 18 '19

you can equip weapons to level them up, but as long as you do not equip a directive The Sentinel will not fire

1

u/Reaverz May 18 '19

It doesn't (as already stated) unless it lands the death blow...if it does it gets all the affinity (and your fellow tenno get a piece as if you killed it)... but you don't. It's one of the two main reasons some folks dont equip a weapon on their companions.

3

u/CatDeeleysLeftNipple May 18 '19

No. Sentinels and pets have separate affinity.

I'm progressing through Neptune atm and I got a decent collection of mods for weapons, but I'm unsure which early-mid game weapons are good for potato-ing and forma-ing

Should I go with whatever I feel comfortable or there are better choices at this point for melee and rifles? I'm MR5 btw

2

u/CatDeeleysLeftNipple May 18 '19

The Hek shotgun (MR4) is probably the best weapon for lower ranked players.

Get yourself the {Scattered Justice} mod for extra killing power.

1

u/CephalonWiki May 18 '19

Hello Tenno. Here is the information you requested.

Scattered Justice

Scattered Justice is a Weapon Augment Mod that adds multishot and Justice specifically for the Hek. It increases multishot by 50% and Justice by 0.25 per rank, at a maximum of 200% and 1 at rank 3, respectively.

if you're worried about "wasting" the potato, i'd suggest weapons without a prime/vandal/prisma/etc version like: kohm, scourge, atomos, atterax, dual zoren, okina, nami solo, and tonbo. i'd start by trying out dual zoren and atomos. if you don't like them, can be crafted into twin basolk, which is another good low rank melee. hek is also a solid choice, since its upgraded version isn't til mr12. there's also baza or lenz if you can wait til mr7 or mr8

but probably can save the forma til later, don't need that many polarity points until primed mods

Hysteria turns her into murderous ball of claws. Her passive gives her clean landing all the time (I'm not 100% sure if it was added during passive rework or original). Plus her alt helmet is called Bastet.

plus her deluxe "Gersemi" skin (which is pre-Alad experiments/torture) has a tail.

How does elemental damage stacking works? Say if I have two 90% elementals (Heat and Toxic) that means I have 180% Gas. Then add a 60/60 dual stay cold mode. Is that in increase in damage per shot (A total added 240%) or am I just screwing it up?

3

u/erythry May 16 '19

You're going to get 240% in elemental damage (based on your weapon's damage after base damage and multishot mods) no matter what, but the damage will be split depending on the way you arrange the elemental mods. The elements will combine in a left to right/ top to bottom order of priority.

In your example, ordering the mods 90% heat, 90% toxin and 60%/60% cold will give you 180% gas damage and 60% cold damage. Putting the cold mod first (cold, heat, toxin) will give you 150% blast damage (cold + heat) and 90% toxin damage. Finally, putting the toxin and cold mod before the heat mod gives you 150% viral and 90% heat damage.

u/VladWard May 16 '19

Just getting some clarification on the Hunter Recovery mod - Does the companion life steal also heal your pet? Or does it only transfer health to the player? The wiki doesn't say anything about Hunter Synergy healing the pet, but I've seen a few people mention it doing so on here.

2

u/erythry May 16 '19

The hunter recovery mod will only heal you when your pet deals damage. You can return the favor by using pack leader on your pet which will heal it based on your melee damage. Hunter synergy provides no healing whatsover, only crit chance for your pet based on your primary's crit chance.

1

u/Gallade0475 May 14 '19

Is Valkyr Prime good

1

u/dragonseth07 May 14 '19

I'm building Nidus currently, and I have a question about him: His 3 can transfer up to 90% of incoming damage to a target, and it lasts up to 60 seconds at max rank. That's amazing. But, how long does it actually last in practice? If you are under fire, they will kill the target. Or if you have to move, you can outrange it and it'll end early.

So, how long do you find it lasts in practice? Do enemies die (or you outrange it) before the 60 seconds are up?

1

u/Reaverz May 15 '19

Your question is kind of loaded because if I know I'm going to out range it... I don't bother casting it.

Also, think about this... how often outside of defense do you even stay in the same area for 60 seconds anyway? Maybe excavation? Survival if you decide to camp? MD doesn't even last that long. In those situations yeah its a pretty tanky alternative.

2

u/CatDeeleysLeftNipple May 18 '19

My main use of it is to disable stronger enemies like Nox, Bursas, etc.

0

u/wiktoryk May 14 '19

Range and damage transfer are affected by mods iirc.Your playstyle would focus on keeping the enemies together with your 2 so the link should last most of its duration.

1

u/TooMad May 14 '19

I got a 50% off almost two days ago and this morning I bought a color pallet... I've already snagged Hildryn, Larkspur, and Ivara. If another 50% or even 75% comes my way any recommendations? Even Khora doesn't sound too terrible to grind out.

2

u/Reaverz May 14 '19

Ironic that you think the one that doesn't look too bad is the only one I caved in and bought. The deciding factor for me was its C rotation and because if I was going to play Sanctuary I wanted to play Elite Sanctuary to farm for the Vandal weapon parts too.

Other C annoyances were Harrow and Octavia... I had an easier time with Ivara. You may want to consider Equinox (twice the bps needed) and Mesa (mutalist coordinates).

2

u/TooMad May 14 '19

Anything I can grind while even half paying attention while crushing my DVR is easy enough. Equinox I bought PA so I have Prime and paying for mastery...nah. Likewise for Mesa. Hildryn I mostly caved because I wanted a shield tank sooner rather than later. Then Larkspur so I didn't feel stupid getting Hildryn in the process of getting Larkspur.

2

u/JamesTheIndian May 14 '19

What are the alternatives to Orokin container farming to get rare mods?

I'm MR6 and I've just arrived on Saturn. Everyone online says that Saturn is where the game will start kicking your ass if you aren't modding correctly, and all the builds require rare mods like Continuity and Flow.

I don't mind grinding missions over and over to get rare drops, but grinding the Orokin containers is a snooze fest! I'm running through the missions, ignoring enemies, and praying to get the drops I want. It's unengaging and I feel like I'm not really playing the game!

I know the drop rates are on the wiki, but I'm too stupid to turn "Bailiff Defector - 0.03%" into "grind THIS SPECIFIC defence mission" or whatever.

Please send help, I really enjoy this game!

1

u/xoxoyoyo May 14 '19

Grind relics, build sets, sell sets for plat, use plat to buy mods. Warframe has a fantastic economy in that regard

2

u/JamesTheIndian May 14 '19 edited May 14 '19

I've been doing that a little, that's how I got Split chamber. So the only alternative is to buy mods with plat?

2

u/Reaverz May 14 '19

The sad part about those essential mods is that they are so ranged locked that you will get them eventually just by playing, but it is so hard to properly farm them. Trading really is the most direct, least time wasted way... well that, or joining a clan and asking for a couple of them... many are coming out of the ears of vets. (Add me IGN:Redmasa and I'll give you bunch).

1

u/xoxoyoyo May 14 '19

There are lots of different ways to get mods. In the codex you can view mods and find where they drop then run those missions. You can also transmute mods to get a chance at valuable mods to sell. This only really works when you can do index. Index gets lots of credits and rare mod drops so it is good transmute fodder. You can also do simaris scans and pick up his conversion mods. They sell for 50+ plat easily. You can run syndicate missions and sell archwing parts for plat then trade that for mods. There are just tons of different ways to achieve those goals.

1

u/[deleted] May 14 '19

Will you still be able to get the Saturn Six armor set after the series ends? I got into Nightwave pretty late (apparently this series ends in a few days?)

1

u/xoxoyoyo May 14 '19

They said it will be exclusive for a time then become available. So probably not for a year or two.

1

u/Brad_King May 14 '19

The best answer is probably: Yes, but not for a while and no clue when or how. DE have a tendency to have people try for older event rewards after the fact, they have basically already said so, but it might take a few <time unit that is bigger than you think here>

2

u/[deleted] May 14 '19

Thank you.

1

u/jathoomax May 14 '19

What should i get with wolf credit as a new player

2

u/CMDR_Nineteen May 14 '19

Corrosive Projection, Steel Charge, and Nitain Extract are priority. As a new player, you'll be very starved for Nitain for a while. You can get catalysts and reactors from other sources, and they're not even too bad to grind plat for.

2

u/xoxoyoyo May 14 '19

start with aura mods, critical will be corrosive projection. after that you can try for potatoes, orokin catalysts(weapons) or reactors(warframes)

1

u/Brad_King May 14 '19

And for your last 15 credits or so get some Nitain

1

u/dragonseth07 May 13 '19

I'd like some help with melee weapon builds. After some consideration, I think I've decided on a Heavy Blade Zaw for my go-to melee for hard content. Aesthetically, it's up my alley, and Tempo Royale looks fun as hell. But, here's where it breaks down:

Most of the Heavy Blade builds I see online build for Status, and I'm having a hard time figuring out why that works. Heavy Blades are slow. REALLY slow. It's not like I'm hitting somebody multiple times a second and stacking up procs for Condition Overload. No, I'm swinging in a circle and hitting a bunch of dudes at once. That... that should be Crit, right? How does a Status or Hybrid build make sense when your attack speed is super-mega-slow?

Second, most/all of the builds I see use mods that work with the Combo counter. Blood Rush, the Status version, etc. That's awesome, but that only really works if you are just using your melee constantly. That's not really my playstyle. I prefer to use guns and melee, shoot people when they are far away and swing a sword when they aren't. Is melee worth using without the combo counter mods?

1

u/Brad_King May 14 '19

It is with some investment to do as much damage per slap, so you have to find a weapon you like, mod it properly and invest some time into the most damaging techniques. I prefer a high damage weapon with condition overload and doing status effects with my guns/frame to be able to one shot stuff.

But to actually use melee for higher level (60+) stuff, for now, you'd be talking the more meta stuff yeah

1

u/YameroReddit May 13 '19

Is melee worth using without the combo counter mods?

No, you either use Status Melees with Condition Overload or Crit Melees with Blood Rush, those are pretty much the only two ways to make melee viable. You can make a stat stick out of something like a Gram Prime if you want to hit things real hard, once or twice, but that's not really a good way to go about it if you could just continue shooting them.

As a melee enthusiast I'm not too convinced of Status weapons, I prefer my Blood Rush crit melees, you aren't slowed down by the attack speed of the weapon because Berserker exists, and together with the Gladiator set mods you orange and red crit like crazy and can easily take on level 100 Eximus Strongholds, if your Frame is up for it.

1

u/HappySpam May 13 '19

What are some good melee weapons for somebody that just spams E nonstop and doesn't really do any combos?

I just want some melee weapons that I can use to clear the room whenever I get surrounded and shooting doesn't do that much, or just kinda wanna cleave through some mobs lol.

2

u/xoxoyoyo May 13 '19

maiming strike scoliac with a range riven. it still works even after the nerfs.

1

u/Gallade0475 May 13 '19

Should I use an orokin reaction on chroma prime, valkyr prime, or Saryn Prime?

1

u/YameroReddit May 13 '19

Chroma has pretty limited application, so I'd choose between Saryn and Valkyr, whoever you like more

1

u/Gallade0475 May 13 '19

Isn’t Chroma really good for eidolon hunting

Also between Saryn and Valkyr which one can I get more mileage from

2

u/Brad_King May 14 '19

Chroma is great for Eidolon, Orb fights and for being a tanky boy that does damage. Saryn is the clear usage winner here for anything high level and farming, Valkyr is just fun. Between nightwave and dev streams and relic cracking to sell prime junk and time, I would suggest a potato for every frame you like (prime especially), but it's easy for me to say after years of play.

1

u/YameroReddit May 13 '19

Isn’t Chroma really good for eidolon hunting

Yeah but that's about it. Saryn is great for anything where you need to kill a lot of stuff without trying to hard. Defense, Sanctuary Onslaught, that sort of thing. Valkyr never dies.

1

u/[deleted] May 13 '19

Anybody have any tips for Warframe survivability aside from keep moving and use Rhino? I have a maxed out Vitality on my Volt but I still die nearly instantly to high level enemies. My Stradavar can cut through level 40 enemies no problem but I die when I'm sneezed on.

What mods should I put on my frame to increase durability? I have Quick Thinking and Vigor but haven't sunk any forma into them.

Also, how important is it that I get Rep with the Quills/Vox Solaris and Ostron/Solaris U? I find it so tedious to level up the Syndicates, but at least the main ones can be leveled while doing other stuff.

1

u/LikeAnyDay May 14 '19

So about that "aside from keep moving and use Rhino" and "kill everyone before they see you":

  1. Arcane Guardian Rank 3 gives you 600 armor and can be activated even from shield damage - having almost constantly +600 armor makes a difference.

  2. Adaptation - especially combined with various frame powers like Gara 2, Nova 1, Inaros (being Inaros), etc. It gives DR for shield too.

  3. Magus Repair/Elevate - constant stream of HP regeneration possibly combined with constant "stream" of crowd control from Magus Lockdown.

  4. Arcane Grace - constant HP repair without transference.

  5. Rolling Guard - can be situationally useful.

  6. Some form of constant shield/HP regeneration from powers like Mag 4, Volt 4 (+augment), Saryn 2 (+augment), Oberon 3, etc.

  7. Some form of CC - Mag 3 (+augment), Nova 4 (slow), Mesa 2, Saryn 4 in a pinch, etc

Generally speaking - if you want to go beyond base level survivability of Vitality+Parkour - you need to explore mods/powers and their combinations that you like in your gameplay loop (not everyone like being Inaros/Rhino for example, not everyone like being map killer like Equinox or Saryn either) - you find a frame you like and look for options from there.

And as you see this also answers question about Quils/Vox - you want power - you need them.

1

u/xoxoyoyo May 13 '19

survivability = kill faster

for volt, it is hard for enemies to attack him if they are being electrocuted. you need to make a good volt build, get tons of range. That gets you the most arcs and arcs are what kills enemies. adaptation also seems to be an almost mandatory mod. you won't get as much out of it as frames with innate DR but it still will help. And oh yeah, volt does have a shield :)

1

u/[deleted] May 13 '19

I've been killed through Volt's Shield before. Not often, but it has happened with some AOE attacks if they land near the edge of the shield.

1

u/Brad_King May 14 '19

Aye, move around a lot when you're not super tanky, rolling gives a 75% dmg reduction during the roll (really useful) and vitality is everything. It's arguably the first mod that deserves endo for most players. Vigor kind of sucks since it gives so much less hp (120% vs 440%). Quick Thinking is great, but we do have {Gladiator Finesse} now for less efficient but also less mod cap usage. For either you also want flow on your set up for more 'ehp'.

But Volt will remain a squishie frame, best to roll and move a lot and indeed have a nice range shock build going.

The rep with quills/vox sol is really for spoiler mode and Eidolon fights and arcanes. The rep with ostron/sol united is great for the zaws and kitguns and the resources (get the mining tool from Venus), not needed to grind, but at low MR your daily is pretty low and easy to fill with a bounty or two maybe. All 4 are useful, but also not needed for early/mid game. And more fun after the story quests.

1

u/wiktoryk May 13 '19

Armor is absically DR for your hp so having higher values will make your survivability better.Having rank with Open World syndicates is basically just access to weapons.

1

u/[deleted] May 13 '19

What are good mods to have on a staff zaw Riven? On a lark, I rerolled a +crit chance to slide attack, +attack speed, +damage to grineer into a +crit chance, +crit damage, +channeling damage, -damage to Corpus.

I feel this was a good trade, but man I'm missing 20k slide crits and attack speed

u/Cak2u May 13 '19

With the upcoming UI reworks, I know they're upgrading the relic screen to include more information. Will we be able to see ducat prices for prime parts while in a fissure mission, like while choosing a reward?

u/CatDeeleysLeftNipple May 13 '19

Will we be able to see ducat prices for prime parts while in a fissure mission, like while choosing a reward?

I don't think anyone knows for sure until it releases, but I doubt they'll put ducat prices on the screen. Although it would be very welcome.

4

u/[deleted] May 13 '19

Do people who leave at purpose at the end of a frissure get a punishment?

I really need Forma but it happened to me 4 Times since Saturday that people leave when they roll sth rare and everyone gets booted to Orbiter and gets what their relic rolled.

Sorry for asking but this feels hard like an abuse.

1

u/LikeAnyDay May 14 '19

If (that is big IF) host leaves after mission screen and you already in orbiter with all rewards - that is a normal for fissure squads. For whatever reason a noticeably long "host migration" happens every time host leaves even if you already in the orbiter. As long as you get the loot - its all good. Everyone do this to speed up process, at best host can give you a few seconds to leave on your own through squad menu in top left while you still in mission screen (I suggest you do that unless you know host and/or know you will be repeating this fissure in same squad).

3

u/never3nder_87 May 13 '19

I think it's the new extract system - DE made it that any one at extraction automatically leaves when the timer is up, so if you're not there you stay in the mission, and get a host migration.

It was a great idea which has been poorly implemented and has created a host of issues with migrations

Why does people want trash riven or trash prime parts? I dont mind btw because thats how I got my plats but why do people buying those?

3

u/never3nder_87 May 13 '19

You can also Transmute 4 Rivens into a new riven of the same type. So 4 Trash Melee Rivens have a small chance to become 1 good melee riven

1

u/YameroReddit May 13 '19

I buy trash rivens to reroll them if it's for a weapon I want to use. Trading in high value Rivens with these ludicrous prices is dangerous because of fraudulent platinum being in circulation. And Prime trash can be sold to Baro for Ducats.

5

u/YameroReddit May 13 '19

Yup, that's how you progress your Mastery Rank, build all weapons you can use and keep leveling them. Sell them at the end if they're trash and you don't want them. There are MK1 weapons you can directly buy with credits, rank up those and sell em.

The new wolf missions in the alert tab. Can you just keep farming that for different parts of the hammer? Also do you only get loads of orokin cells first run through?

2

u/YameroReddit May 13 '19

You can keep doing it, yes. And yes it's actually decent for Orokin cells since it's less of a PITA than Sargas Ruk.

Hi! I am stuck in an infinite looping of the "War Within" quest. When i finish it, it just loads me in to the part where you need to escape the ship, and I have to do it over and over. From googling it seems this is an old and known problem without obvious solutions. Any tips?

1

u/oohehmgee May 15 '19

it looped me back there when i did it, and I just alt-f4'd out and when i loaded back in i was out of the quest and it was completed.

2

u/LikeAnyDay May 14 '19

When I was stuck on this - the only way "out" was to repeat it all. Probably spend more time looking for solution that replaying. Still mildly furious though.

3

u/YameroReddit May 13 '19

Contact support about it, start another quest then go back to it?

1

u/Hobbsgoblin123 May 13 '19

I got carried through the wolf mission and got my first Riven mod, is this any good? I don't think it is, but I don't know much about them

1

u/Rockburgh May 18 '19

To give a little more detail: That riven is Very Bad. Critical Damage is a much-desired stat, but ammo maximum is rarely cared for and +zoom is actively worthless-- in fact, people often want negative zoom on their rivens, because it's such an irrelevant stat that getting it as a negative is a free bonus to the positives. Faction damage is applied after everything else, so a weapon with that mod will do 43% less total damage to grineer-- in other words, you'd probably be better off leaving the slot empty if you bring the weapon to a grineer mission, and against anything else it does nothing (except improve the positives).

1

u/lordreed May 13 '19

Sell it as unrolled, its not very good and there isnt much point sinking in kuva to reroll it at your level.

Might find someone willing to buy it for a bit of plat but not a lot. The Argonak isn't really a much-used weapon.

1

u/kjeldorans May 13 '19

I found on a reseller a "mesa prime code" which has a particular delivery, basically I have to log in with someone's else steam account and then launch warframe from their steam account and log in with my account.

Now, I do understand that this is no conventional method but has anyone tried one of these purchases before? Or am I the only fool?

2

u/xoxoyoyo May 13 '19

Step 1: Hack inactive warframe accounts, see if they have plat.
Step 2: Buy lots of stuff with the plat.
Step 3: Sell to suckers
Step 4: Dude with inactive account sees he has gotten hacked, DE reverses all transactions
Step 5: Say goodbye to your account

2

u/_Meke_ May 13 '19

why not just get plat and buy mesa prime from the warframe market?

1

u/TooMad May 13 '19

You will get scammed.

3

u/pyr0paul May 13 '19

As u/Happy_Prime said, don't do it. first: it is dodgy as shit and second: you can get banned from DE for this kind of purchase.

8

u/Happy_Prime May 13 '19

This sounds extremely dodgy. Don't do it. Only purchase Warframe related stuff through official channels.

1

u/Tswiftqt May 13 '19

So just started.... I've gotten high level people in my group that just rampage and run through the quest (dungeon, point?)do I get less xp than running by myself? If so how do i keep the party by myself if it's more beneficial to do myself

1

u/xoxoyoyo May 13 '19

if you want to level up weapons and frames then by far the easiest method to do it is with others.

4

u/Happy_Prime May 13 '19

In theory you get more overall affinity (xp) with more players, as more players == more enemies. As long as you remain in affinity sharing distance of the other players you will get the full affinity from their actions. There's an icon next to a players name on your HUD whenever you're within affinity sharing range, Have a look at the wiki page on affinity, see how much of that makes sense.

If you want to go solo at anytime then you can can set your matchmaking to solo - there's a symbol for your current matchmaking status at the top left of the screen when in your orbiter. You press Esc and click on it to set it to Public, Friends Only, Invite Only, or Solo. When solo the game will also pause whenever you press Esc (except in open-world areas).

Warframe slots, weapon slots. Or save it for when you need it. Put 40 aside for when you unlock the index on Neptune and grab a credit booster. Stockpile lots of credits to buy blueprints for frames/weapons from clan dojo/market to level your MR. One run of high risk index nets around 500k credits every 5-10 minutes depending on team. If you’re unsure about some things I said, don’t worry; you’ll learn about them soon. Feel free to ask questions if you have any, though.

I'm a player returning after a couple of years off (last I remember was just before the void rework).

Obviously the players' weapons have been power-creeped a lot (modular weapons particularly), but has the damage scaling of enemies gone off the rails in that timeframe too? It feels like I can't take any frame without some form of damage reduction to level 40+ content without being oneshot.

3

u/Wail_Bait May 13 '19

Enemy damage scaling hasn't changed. The newer variants, like the Terra Crewman, are more powerful than the older versions of the unit though.

Your old builds are probably still viable, assuming they were meta back in 2016. For example, the Atterax is still probably the best melee weapon in the game. You probably just need to re-learn the controls. The faster you move the less likely enemies are to hit you, so builds with low survivability are generally fine as long as you never stop moving.

1

u/pyr0paul May 13 '19

Some things like corpus with the beamweapons (there was a rework) and the void (200% or 300% damge bonus in some parts of the void) hit like a truck. My best advise is modding for survival (armor and health). There are things called arcanes you can farm from eidolons that could also help.

1

u/BonerStew May 13 '19

I didn’t play as long ago as you but I’ve been playing for about a year now. The best thing I can say is mod for the frame. If your warframe has high high health use vitality. High shields? Use redirection. High armor? Steel fiber. Usually steel fiber and vitality will be enough but it depends on the frame. I’ll admit I don’t usually use “squishy” frames but from what I’ve seen they usually have some sort of mitigation. I’ve been embarrassed running Inaros and having a Mag take less damage than me.

With these Wolf alert missions, does he have a better chance to drop parts for his hammer and the higher difficulty or does it not matter which difficulty you do it on?

3

u/Wail_Bait May 13 '19

The higher level mission has double the drop rate for wolf sledge parts. The drop rate for the mask is the same though, so if you're farming that you can just do the lower level mission.

Also, using air support to bypass the early encounters and skip straight to the end negates the bonus drop chance. You must fight through the early encounters to get the better drop chance.

u/xoxoyoyo May 13 '19

you should not be burning scanners, get the upgrade from simaris and you do infinite scanning. scanning enemies gets them into your simulacrum, scanning other stuff is only for completion.

Why is rending strike, a mod which gives +80% puncture and + 60% slash worse than any +90% X type of damage when used on a stat stick? shouldnt more numbers be better?

Edit: This is for garas 2

1

u/Wail_Bait May 13 '19

For a stat stick you need to consider what ability you're trying to enhance. For example, Atlas' Landslade is all impact damage, so Rending Strike does nothing.

Rending Strike is also just worthless in general because Auger Strike exists.

3

u/xoxoyoyo May 13 '19

puncture is a sucky damage type, the more you raise it, the greater the chance of a puncture status proc, making the weapon more useless than if it was a pure slash mod (on a slash weapon). of course you have to look at the main stats of a weapon and should only fit a mod that augments the highest stat. Finally consider that rivens that do -100% puncture or -100% impact are actually considered to have a GOOD negative in terms of applying status.

4

u/Happy_Prime May 13 '19 edited May 13 '19

Because of the way the damage is calculated for IPS vs Elemental.

Let's make up some numbers for easier maths. Let's say you have a weapon that does 300 base total damage, with an even IPS split of 100-100-100. If we add an elemental mod that gives +50% Heat, then that considers the 300 total damage and give +50% of that as heat, giving a total of 150 heat damage.

However, if we had a mod that gives +50% Puncture damage, that works of the individual damage type. So the weapon does 300 total damage, but only 100 of that is Puncture. So a +50% Puncture mod will only add an extra 50 damage. And that assumes a nice even IPS split - imagine if the weapon did 140-20-140 IPS. A +50% puncture mod would only give 10 extra puncture damage, while that +50% heat would still give 150 extra.

Because of this, in the vast majority of cases a +90% elemental will give a greater damage boost than even the +120% IPS mods.

Edit: For Garas 2, you can tap it to deal pure puncture, or hold to deal pure slash. So Rending Strike is halfway useless - if you hold 2 you get the +60% slash, and the +80% puncture is completely wasted because there is no puncture damage for it to work off. If you tap 2 then the +60% slash is negated because there is no slash damage. In both cases you end up with more overall damage by just using a +90% elemental.

You could instead use a +120% slash or puncture mod, and that will work out to more damage (as all of the damage of Shattered Lash is either slash or puncture), but that locks you into a specific casting mode, which may not be what you want.

What are some guns that fires like the Fluctus? [Energy waves]

2

u/Ershardia May 13 '19

None, pretty much.

Closest thing to that would be Exalted Blade

u/Amatsuo May 13 '19 edited May 13 '19

Since they removed blocking, is the only way to use Electromagnetic Shielding to only have a Melee Weapon equipped?
[Manually Block]

1

u/never3nder_87 May 13 '19

Once you use the melee button, you hold your melee weapon until you aim/fire a weapon again. As long as the melee weapon is out, you should auto block

1

u/pyr0paul May 13 '19

They didn't remove it, it is a autoblock now. Or did I understand you wrong?

Edit: forget it, only now saw u/Wail_Bait comment.

2

u/Wail_Bait May 13 '19

Yes. As far as I know, you can only manually block if you only have a melee weapon equipped.

Does anyone know if Nightwave ranks will carry over to the next time it happens? Or is this a permanent event?

5

u/CMDR_Nineteen May 13 '19

Ranks reset when the season rolls over.

What's the deal with Ignis Wraith these days? I've always known conventional wisdom to say that people give the blueprints out for free, but I've been asking around in chat and the only response I've gotten was a guy asking to trade it for Prime junk. Is it still reasonable to want to get one for free?

4

u/xoxoyoyo May 13 '19

free is fine as a concept, I would often give them away to newer players when trading for other stuff, or to people that ask. keep in mind though that it burns a trade, so for just the BP it would not be unreasonable to ask for something. 15p or so that some people ask is just ridiculous. it costs 15k credits to buy a copy if your dojo has it.

u/Projectonestar May 13 '19

This is likely to sound a bit vague, but I’ve got two friends who constantly get “Host Migrated” out of our games. It happens roughly 99% of the games we try and run together. It tends to happen within the first two ish minutes into a mission. We live in Michigan and all live within ten miles of each other. We all have at least 100Mb internet through the same provider. There are no firewalls or NAT ports shut on either of their devices. We connect with each other just fine on other games. All the googling is bringing me way older posts from around the games launch and seem to be “you need better internet” related, which can’t be the culprit here.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

4

u/xoxoyoyo May 13 '19

When this happens, WHO is the host? They will have a 1 beside their name. instead of joining them have them join your game and then the game of the third person to see if you can get a workable combination

Since the Wolf drops his loot during the mission instead of it appearing at the end like a regular boss, will Nekros' Desecrate work on him for potentially double the loot?

2

u/CMDR_Nineteen May 13 '19

Nekros won't work because he runs away. He doesn't have a dead body to desecrate.

Khora, Hydroid, and Ivara also don't work, though I'm not sure on the mechanics of why they don't.

I am a little confused about what I should do next. I have finished the War Within quest and I am not sure what I should be doing next to progress the main story.

I have unlocked every planet on the starchart is the aim to get 100% completion on the chart. I have been avoiding certain missions - mainly archwing stuff.

What is the endgame is it related to the open world stuff I haven't really engaged with any of that yet.

3

u/dragonseth07 May 12 '19

There are a number of story quests left. Go to your Codex to see how to unlock them.

3

u/Brad_King May 12 '19

End-game is what you want it to be, depends on your play style, but for most people it is something like:

  • Eidolon/Orb mother hunts (yes this is the open worlds)

  • Max out Nightwave

  • Do the Sorties as often as possible/daily for yummy loot and rivens

  • Max out all frames and weapons and companions and vehicles

  • Fashion frame and strut your stuff

  • Take a break

  • Arbitrations/ESO/Index/High XP farming for loot and gear

  • min/max your favourite weapons and frames with forma

  • min/max your mods

  • Help new players

  • Do dojo decorations and farm bucket loads of resources for that

  • Enjoy Archwing eventually because you feel all your archwings deserve forma and potatoes too (only for weirdos)

  • login every day just for the daily counter

Archwing can be daunting, the difference between a fully modded and forma-ed set up and a bunch of low level stuff is staggering, but you can find people in recruiting channel to help. And there are more story quests :) Getting to MR 16 is nice for access to all rivens and content I think.

Can anyone give me a rundown of what the Meta is for Profit Taker and what you roughly have to do with each role? Got plenty of Tridolon Experience so don't need a full on guide.

5

u/AnonumusSoldier May 12 '19 edited May 12 '19

primary/secondary should be high damage weapons with alternate elementals, i typically take Arca Plasmor modded with 3 elementals, and pandero modded with 2 other elementals + its native IPS damage.

Frame should be a tank/buffer like Chroma, Rhino or Oberon(for his anti knockdown grass)

Best archgun is Imperator/Vandal modded for crit+radiation damage, Corvas comes in second best as it can one shot the limbs but its charge fire is clunky + it has a nasty recoil. Grattler comes in at third place. DO NOT take fluctas, it will pass thru the limbs and deal no damage.

the profit take can pretty much be quickly soloed so theres no real team builds, if your pubbing it you can either be the dps to make sure it gets done, or a healer to keep the team alive, or an aoe dps frame to keep the mobs at bay

What zaw parts should I use to get a dagger that pairs well with Covert Lethality and Ash Prime? Do any daggers outperform a zaw?

1

u/Wail_Bait May 13 '19

The Rakta Dark Dagger is situationally the best dagger. The Gleaming Blight augment gives it the Blight effect, which restores energy. With Ash you generally want to spam abilities, so the energy regen is nice. For the most part though, zaws make the best daggers.

→ More replies (2)

3

u/Happy_Prime May 12 '19

If it's primarily to take advantage of Covert Lethality, then the most of its stats don't really matter. Choose parts to maximise speed first so finisher animations are as fast as possible, then decide whether you want a pure crit, pure status, or hybrid build on top of that.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/TheCobaltPhoenix May 12 '19

Zaws will generally outperform daggers, but if you want to use CL and Ash, you could slap the mod on a sheev and still 1 shot things with your 3. Now if you wanna use the dagger for actual melee and/or Ash's 4, then you need to take the dagger stats into account but even then I think Bladestorm only uses mods not base stats for the extra damage. That said make the zaw dagger max speed for quicker finisher animations, crit or status is kinda up to you

I have a question regarding Wolf Sledge parts, is it better to sell them now or wait till the end of nightwave?

6

u/xoxoyoyo May 12 '19

the general idea has to do with supply and demand, the greater the supply the less the demand (prices). warframe.market shows pricing stats. https://warframe.market/items/wolf_sledge_set/statistics

The set was selling for 180 a few days ago, 50 now. I imagine now would be the worst time to sell.

I don't have any screenshots handy, but I had a weird damage bug running the wolf yesterday. I'm using a catchmoon/splat/haymaker built fully for crit and radiation. Most of my shots were dealing thousands of damage as expected, but occasionally I'd see hits pop up for like 3 damage. Is there some mechanic that would cause that much of a drop, or is it likely some weird bug?

1

u/Brad_King May 12 '19

Sometimes something might deal/proc a damage type that you shouldn't have, it's a bug with little consequences (doing like 50 puncture damage while you're slinging 50k rad damage) but it happens

Dojo decoration question. How can you set a roof of a room transparent. And how do people go outside the dojo to decorate?

1

u/AnonumusSoldier May 12 '19

You cant set the roof to be transparent, there are certain rooms with glass ceilings, but its not a setting.

There are a number of ways, the easiest is to enter the observatory room, go to one of the farthest corners of the glass wall and bullet jump up and backwards into a ledge by the ceiling. Stand up and enter decorator mode, thne move upward. you will then be outside the room. This can be duplicated in any room by building a platform deco near the ceiling of a room. It takes some practice, but if you bullet jump in an elevator going up at just the right moment, you can exit the tileset. There are also several holes in the orokin lab room you can find by bullet jumping against the walls that lead to outside the room. This will lead to the "spaceport" skybox. There are alot of videos on youtube if you search.

So i have all frames beside atlas and baruuk and im getting a bit bored with playing nezha and mesa all the time i want to try a different playing style ive played nidus alot too but dropped him for my nezha what frames would you recommend? And when it comes to weapon i like to try something different of meta i formad my hema yesterday 5x what else is there thats viable and isnt used alot? And last question when it comes to melee ive been using the atterax since forever with maim how do you make melee weapons do alot of damage without sliding around?

1

u/lordreed May 14 '19

Whiplash Khora, is so enjoyable its sinful.

3

u/AustrianDog May 12 '19

Dunno about frames, i enjoy Saryn for most missions since it works for basicly everything. Volt is also cool if you wanna go with a 2 build or a 4 build.

Nearly all weapons are fairly viable if you just forma them enough for the 8 standard mods and if you add a riven its sortie ready 99% of the time. Maybe try some bullet hose like Prisma Gorgon/Soma Prime/Supra Vandal? Or single target stuff like Vulkar Wraith/Prisma Grinlok.

For melee weapons depends on the type. If youre going crit just get something like this(not a big fan of elemental combos on crit melees but you can change sacrifical steel/organ shatter for another element) and for status you should get something like this. The mod hidden behind the riven is primed pressure point btw.

A few Eidolons related questions.

  1. Sometimes Terry doesn't take damage to shield. What can cause this? I am not referring to the vomvs linking and healing. I've noticed even while doing solo and with madurai charges the shield is not taking damage then after a few hits it does.

  2. I've been attempting the operator only Terralyst challenge and one thing I have noticed is that I have to keep bringing in new lures. Are the vomvs attacking and damaging lures? It can't be Terry since they seem to take damage much faster than during a normal run and the main difference is that there are more voms around. Obviously I am aware that enemies and turrets can damage and kill lures but I am seeing a slow drain of their health.

  3. I'm having trouble spawning US on Harry and Garry. What could I be doing wrong? Is it the lack of upgraded Basilisk Gaze?

1

u/Brad_King May 12 '19
  • maybe lag? I've seen it before with all eidolons, really weird, but it doesn't often happen during meta runs I have to admit.

  • Not sure, but I think eidolons hurt them too

  • Wisps? Yeah range helps a lot

What should I do with trash rivens? (Bad stats on non-meta weapons)

Bundle sell them?

Individually sell them?

Reroll? (Doubt this one)

Transmute?

Dissolve?

Hold on to them?

5

u/AnonumusSoldier May 12 '19

i dont have the patience/luck/inventory to sell them, so i just transmute them.

if you are going to dissolve them, save the high MR ones and roll them 10 times before dissolving them. rolls add 200ish endo (its been a while i dont remember exact number, just that it was cost inefficient after 10 rolls.)

2

u/Brad_King May 12 '19

If you need plat, sell for cheap/bulk, otherwise transmute
