How loud is too loud? Residents of /r/brisbane get revved up over motorcycle noise.

I've found that there is a direct 1:1 correlation between people who own vehicles configured to be louder than normal and assholes. In 41 years on this planet, I have yet to meet a single person with one of those modifications on their car who wasn't an utter piece of shit and waste of a human being. It's like some sort of mating call for the absolute dregs of society. Somehow or another, the "I should be embarrassed by this but instead I'm proud of it" impulse is a very good predictor for degenerate behavior.

the point isnt to have it as loud as possible. Noise is a by-product of eliminating turbulence and having smooth, increased flow through the exhaust system, which in turn increases power. Its not hard to understand
Like how hard to understand?

Dude really wants to justify his annoying vehicle. More power to him, apparently.

There's pages of this bickering.
For the record, 'OSHA's permissible exposure limit (PEL) is 90 dBA for all workers for an 8 hour day'. I'd call that 'loud'. Any louder and it becomes 'damaging'.
