I've loved this flick ever since it came out. The humor in it is great, although I can never get that 'Hungry Heifer' song out of my head after I watch it.
I hope this is isn't the last Dreadit official discussion, but if it is I'm glad I could make it for Critters 2!

The entire Critters franchise is one of my most favorite in all of Horror, but Critters 2 is definitely the best one. It has humor, it has evolutionary ideas for the Crites. It has some returning characters, the effects were amazing, everything makes this a great great GREAT movie.

Ok, this bugged me when I watched it. The sherriff in Critters 2 is goaded back into helping his town, and all the characters are acting like he saved the day or at least helped a bunch the last time The Critters showed up. But, in the 1st movie, the Sherriff doesn't do anything, from what I remember he sees the Critters gets scared shitless and that's about it. Just a stupid gripe, continuity between sequels always bugs me and this time it's especially weird since it only involves character motivation.

That bothered me to... though it was kind of a small gripe because I didn't care for his character and was expecting him to get eaten.

I only saw the Critters flicks last year for the first time, loved them, especially the first two
Critters 2 (1988) Some Crite eggs leftover form the first attack are incorporated in an Easter Egg Hunt, and hatch, causing more mayhem in the small town of Grover’s Bend. Why they took 2 years to hatch, who knows. The face-borrowing bounty hunters are back, and one of them takes the form of a Playboy Centerfold. Surprising amount of nudity for this PG13 romp, and pretty violent too, A cop in an Easter Bunny suit gets his junk bit off! (Implied, at least) A small handful of the original cast return, not Dee Wallace. Mick Garris takes the reigns for the second installment. So far the Critters franchise is far more entertaining that it has a right to be!

I know it’s 6 years ago this question. But your answer is because they were in the cold barn. They need heat to hatch

I've actually only recently seen this one. I guess growing up i watched 3 and just thought it was part 2. I decided to binge the series the other day for some monster movie nostalgia and loved 2. Fell in love with the cheesy writing and the crites were great as to be expected.

This counts as an Easter movie right?
