I swear somebody in the Live-discussion called it today.

Artemis has backstabber written all over her. She seems like a Merlyn-type oportunist.

That's just the actress. She's not very good. She's come off like that in some other shows I've seen her in.

OH THE IRONY... So does this make her a good actress?

Most underrated moment imo was Oliver calling the kids out on their hypocritical bs for wanting to let the vigilante keep killing just a week after they freaked out at learning that Oliver was The Hood in S1. I'm really enjoying Oliver being so direct with people this year.

Wow. Three excellent episodes in a row. I think this is a new record.

Vigilante was a great villain. Adrian Chase having a darker side is something I LOVE. I like seeing the otherwise nice guy begin to crack and reveal a dangerous nature.

Paul Blackthorne and Willa Holland were amazing in this episode. Their dialogue felt real and emotional. The two of them, alone, just doing their thing with no superheroics... ah, brings me back to the days of S1.

The episode actually made me like Wild Dog a bit. He had some of the best lines on the show and a few selfless gestures that won me over. Ragman didn't get to do much (aside from his usual shtick... y'know, being REALLY COOL). Traitormis was somewhat annoying but at least it all makes sense now.

The last fight between Oliver and Adrian/Vig was somewhat messily edited, but the choreography was tighter than it's ever been. The battle between Bratva Oliver and Kovar was a nice touch. It wasn't impeccably choreographed but it was cool to see flashback Ollie throw down and it was a great introduction to Dolph Lundgren's extremely fast hands. "I must break you," indeed.

Overall, I'd say this is one of the best episodes thus far - which is saying a lot, as this season has been pretty consistently stellar.

Side note, am I the only one who LOVES those escrima training scenes? I've always looked forward to them ever since season 1, and seeing one makes the episode more enjoyable for me. It helps that they're based on real martial arts and are thus easy to choreograph. Even the dreaded bee episode, which featured such gems as Oliver being beaten in battle by a BEE BOT and Felicity killing said bee bot with a lamp, had a well-choreographed training scene.

You know how you can tell that olicity is done for? When Oliver was telling the team about going on a date (well doing mayor stuff according to him), the camera didn't pan to felicity's disappointed looking face.

The show is so good right now, maybe more of Artemis in a tight dress wouldn't hurt though even if she's now an evil bitch. Only bad part of the next episode is no flashbacks but I can make do without considering what the next episode will be about.

I appreciate that Wild Dog's face is still healing, most times after characters takes a beating the bruises vanishes in the following episode.

Wow so this perfectly explains why Artemis was able to go toe to toe against Prometheus on the train last week. Damn these writers have stepped up their game BIG time.

Ok that twist in the end actually makes sense, since she did take on Prometheus alone and even injured him even though he's supposed to be as good as Ollie

  • [Susan Williams tweeting with] journalist from Russia…

  • Seriously, 4 people to cover the first floor and no one bother to check upstairs for the vigilante?

  • “I been to hell, and that makes me somebody you do not want to screw with.” -DA

  • Any scene with Quentin and Thea is like a father-daughter moment.

  • TRICK SHOT BULLETPROOF NET ARROW

SHIT, LAST SCENE!!

Did anyone else pick up on the Slade reference when Oliver was holding Kovar hostage? I didn't see anyone mention it in the other thread. They really aren't holding back with their season 1 references this year (and I love it!)

Another solid episode. Some points:

  • Curtis was a little annoying this episode. They need to tone it down a little bit.

  • I love the Thea Quentin relationship

  • Yay they made Artemis interesting

  • Some weird issues with the fight scenes. Some hits didn't have the weight they should have had. Notably when Vigilante hit Curtis in the back and it made no noise but supposedly hurt him.

  • Glad they sorted out the obvious fact that Quentin isn't Prometheus this quickly. Isn't communication great.

  • The DA is totally Vigilante.

  • Artemis' dress

  • This episode could've dived deeper into the issue of whether Vigilante is also in the right.

  • First time Moira has been mentioned in how long?

Diggle is swole as fuck.
