"Ooh, we need to go to the Swartzkopf (???) Hair Studio!"
Edit: Baublebar? Chinese Laundry? I don't care what anyone says about this trainwreck of a season so far, it has the best sponsor names of the series.

Nothing will ever beat Tim Gunn's pained tone when delivering the line "Please remember to use the QVC accessory wall....thoughtfully".
It was a beautiful thing. Every syllable dripping in "dear god, I'm contractually obliged to say this".

I'm just sad that Fade's gone. I started to feel apprehensive as soon as he said before going to Mood that he had no real plan. But a lot of people deserved to go home more than he did.

This show is such a fucking mess.
Sam's look was like a cheap bargain basement dress version of Dom's look from last week.
Valerie designed a boring prom dress and they raved about it.
Emily and Fade didn't do well this week but they weren't the worst by far.
Ken should have gone home this week—he did a boring cocktail dress we've seen a thousand times before that had nothing to do with the challenge, yet he was safe.

bit of an odd observation; emily sounds like she has a throat cold this week

Can we bring the teens back again? I'm already sick of the drama for this season.

That thought ran through my head all during the teen season. Look at how nice and supportive they are of each other. Look at how they find something nice to say, no matter how small, about each other's designs. All season long, I thought, "I've never seen designers twice their age be this nice to each other."

Again, my beloved Daniel Franco just narrowly skates past doom. I'd have sent his ass home, to be honest, that thing was butt ugly!
I loved Sam's dress - totally deserved the win. Doesn't do much in the way of making him humble, but I thought that dress was cool.

That was such a snooze-fest. I don't know where to start. I can see Vanessa Hudgens wearing Sam's dress in the desert to deface national geological landscapes. (too soon?) For Valerie's dress to be top three it really must have been a hot mess of a week. Everybody took the challenge too literally. Draping doesn't equal fabulous. Layana's dress had a simple fluidity and pungency with the colour but needed more structure, still better than most. Mitchell, mitchell, mitchell, the hangy mauve fabric looked like toilet paper when you fold it to wipe your behind. WAAAAH. I want prJR back.

Does anyone have the details on this Sam blog that was so much drama? I apparently didn't know anything about it until all the moaning on last week's episode and it is still going on.

Wow that was the worst elimination decision ever. His was beautiful and well made, maybe it wasn't their "style" but that's not what this is about. Awful.
Other comments-
Vanessa actually gave constructive advice, redeemed the Bella Thorne Disney star train wreck.
I like seeing so many designs each week. Wish they could just keep them all the whole way through and add up cumulative scores at the end to determine the winner!

Wow. Zanna actually gave good advice to everyone. I actually agreed with everything she said. Combine this with her good advice last week, this may be Zanna's best season ever.
I think it's pretty clear they saved Mitchell and Daniel from the bottom to justify not kicking anyone off last week. Mitchell's purple bacon dress was saved on the runway because he had a dark skinned model.
Asha was barely even in this episode. I forgot she was on the show.

I thought Zanna's advice seemed really superficial. She just kept using the words drama and elegance without really giving specific advice on what to change or what was wrong. I guess that's my gripe Zanna; she usually just gives her general impression and completely leaves the designer to their own devices whereas Tim will focus the designer on the element that isn't working. I never really see designers rethink their whole design to completely change elements when Zanna gives her advice (aside from the sleeve on Valerie's dress), but Tim will usually inspire a much more critical self-evaluation by the designers.

I've gotta say, it suuuucks that they aren't showing any confessionals of designers giving positive critiques of the other garments. The workroom clearly isn't filled with 13 messes, so why edit it to make it seem like it is? :/

I'm over Mitchell and Sam's drama, but at least Sam was right. Mitchell keeps making really bad and tasteless designs, but is still kept in the competition because he makes good TV.

Alyssa Milano's outfit .... just... what was up with that turtleneck jumpsuit thingy? Also now I just started bingewatching the previous season and can't stop... send snacks!

Does it seem like not a single designer really gives a shit this season? They all seem a little bored and not as naively vibrant as past seasons.

You had a really sophisticated and smart thought here:
I. Like. Skirts.

I thought Mitchell's was so tacky. I don't understand how he was safe.
