Weird Al is the best voice actor oh my gosh

So let me get this straight...everyone votes for the blowfish, then the one octopus gets 8 votes to delay his inauguration. Then Finn and Jake beat up a politician with no evidence, while the cops watch, and end up being wrong. All while a member of Parliament fucks off with a stranger and admits not giving a shit about politics.

The sea has a pretty fucked up government, yo.

Just as long as no one knows of their shoddy record keeping

I think it's both a parody to the "president is missing and it's inside job" kind of B movie plotlines + an actual critic to the way politics works. Or I'm just reading to much into it.

I think the "corrupt politics" angle is definitely intentional. I mean there's a shot right on two police officers literally looking away from what Finn and Jake are doing.

We're the aristocrats!

That sounds like the kind of government you'd see in a satirical political comedy film.

Or, you know, real life.

I knew Marceline would be hiding out in their house, but I wasn't expecting all those other peeps.

Why was PB just eating a sandwhich behind a bookshelf? That's what I wanna know.

collecting data

5

u/Ksaraf23 Jan 16 '16

Yeah. I mean, she technically owns their house.

35

u/aaronhowser1 Jan 20 '16

No, she sold it in Ocarina to Kim Kil Whan, who then sold it to Jake

"It's like theres this instruction manual that explains how to talk to people and everyone in the world has a copy except me." awwww Banana Man :(

I really hate how much I identify with that line.

Reminds me of every shy person I know. Always liked Banana Man.

I always liked Banana Man. I love him in this episode even more because he's relatable.

BMO and Ice King are a suprisingly fantastic pair!

Finn called it in "All the Little People"

I would totally watch an episode with just those two going on an adventure.

we got about half of one here. After all, 90% of BMO's Adventures are make-believe.

"Dying together sucks a little less than dying alone"

Not dying would be nice too though, lol

That was a really weird ending.

u/roque72 Jan 13 '16

Reminded me of the earlier seasons when they seemed to end abruptly

Jake repeatedly getting stuck in the cracks is killing me

11

u/arborcide Jan 13 '16

Best part of the episode, really.

BMO takes play time very seriously.

4

u/Ksaraf23 Jan 16 '16

Yup. He's got nothing on Ice King, though.

President got lost on Porpoise.

7

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '16

Porpoise: Not even once.

5

u/Gabmaia Jan 13 '16

He was under a lot of Pressure

u/jleonard12895 Jan 13 '16

Was the symbol on President Porpoise's laptop the same symbol from Grunkle Stan's fez in Gravity Falls? Just an observation.

33

u/anteater97 Jan 13 '16

Yep! Animators and artists love dropping GF references in their stuff (see Rick and Morty, Howard the Duck comic). I think this is the first time AT has done it, though.

my kids must be worried SICK

It's been a while since I laughed so hard at something Ice King said. Great to see his funny side fully recovered!

We've gotten to see a heck of a lot of BMO's powerful imagination this season, it's awesome. Also him bonding with Ice King is kinda cute.

58

u/xxkillerturtle Jan 13 '16

Favorite part of the episode for me.

"I bring my boys home"

BMO is great.

44

u/devenrc Jan 13 '16

And they say this show doesn't do fun adventures anymore. Ha.

Banana man does not observe the bros before hoes policy

55

u/Bearowolf Jan 13 '16

Yeah but come on, Bman needs more hoes in his life, his bros will understand.

I think my favorite scene was how jake just kept getting smaller and smaller. It's probably the smallest we've seen of him.

Oh, and "Dying together sucks a little less then dying alone." Just gold

32

u/Tyrone_Blacke Jan 13 '16

We need more BMO and Ice King, this is hilarious.

Finn and Jake's house is popular to say the least. Not even PB can resist the draw of one of Jake's sandwiches!
