I'd love it. That said, I've given people hard evidence and statistics before and they ignore it because it doesn't mesh well with what they've been told/experienced. It feels like you just can't win. They're stuck in a bubble where they truly believe what they're saying.
Women do have an advantage in some ways, but that stems from benevolent sexism, which is much harder to counter.

"Well I have a friend who..."
Stop all research and studies. This guy has anecdotal evidence that supports his skewed opinion.

Female entitlement caused both.
(I feel the need to nervously inch a "/s" in here)

That sucks and I'm sorry that happened.

Thanks, it was a horrible thing to go through and I'll probably never feel comfortable around police officers like I did before, but I'm working on getting past it.

Thank you. I appreciate the cute distractions, they really do help me get my mind off of what happened to me. It sucks because even though that all happened a few years ago, and I've been working on getting better, that stupid bullshit can still completely ruin my day even after I've spent so much time trying to move on. It's not fair.

When did getting a date turn into a social justice issue?
7
u/thajugganuat Sep 15 '15
It's so confusing. All she has to do is take him out on a date if he's still up for it and pay and bam, totally even. Why would people be angry? She didn't lie to him and contacted him asap.

That's what seems to draw most of these men to their sexist corners. There's a disproportionate number of guys in these things ready to damn a whole gender to basic servitude because they can't get dates.

When it was posted to r/okcupid. That sub is like purpose built for gender wars.

Ew fucking creating radical feminist drama where there is none to be had. I bet you're going to call us a bunch of racists too. As a female, I'd rather you not speak for all females. Thanks.
Most females can't speak for themselves, though. Because most females are animals.

When I was single if someone stood me up once I would forgive them but a second time and I figured they were wasting my time or had no respect for me. I think OP can be forgiven this once.
