We have to point out random objects in Pt. 3 with the mouse pointer!
BTW, who is senior tucan, or the big red bird?

Honestly, don't really remember the "friendly" characters from the show too much. They'll probably be other German states.

The clergyman, in his 50s, told nurses he had been hanging curtains when he fell backwards on to his kitchen table.
He happened to be nude at the time of the mishap, said the vicar, who insisted he had not been playing a sex game.
Fucking glorious.

I remember hearing a similar story about a priest who was (at the time) washing all of his clothes (as if that's a good idea... ((or was he doing springtime-cleaning, I'm not sure...)) Anyway, he said that he'd slipped and there just so happened to be a potato on the floor!!! XD

What about Sheriff Surinaaaaaame?
21
Aug 05 '15
It is indeed funny as hell and started out really well, but as the series went on, it kinda turned away from the concept of polandball. At their core, pb comics are supposed to be about countries, and the later episodes unfortunately have little to do with them. Look at the latest episode, for example. Do you see anything which relates to national stereotypes/geopolitics/relations between nations? Anything related to Suriname, Guyana, or all the other side characters? Even country name puns or flag jokes?
Don't understand me wrong, FVBLT is a comedic genius, and he could make big money with that talent; what I want to say is that Sheriff Suriname has long stopped being a polandball comic rather than a mere funny story which just happens to use countryballs as characters.
imho.

I think, think its live action Dora the Explorer, which is fucking scary enough in its cartoon form...

u/rindindin Aug 05 '15
Belgium's taking it like a champ.
Also, is this some kind of musical?
6
u/mkdz Aug 05 '15
It's based off a show called Dora the Explorer

u/rindindin Aug 05 '15
Ah, I don't watch children shows so danke for that.
edit: furthermore, the title should've given it away. Still, good series.

Stupid question: Who is the little blue/white guy?
9
Aug 05 '15
I believe that is the Bavarian flag
4
u/Prince-Cola Aug 05 '15
OK, thank you. Do you know why Bavaria is shown as seperate from Preussen? Was it independent in WW1?
EDIT. Preussen not Prussen xp

Bavaria was a German state and had been since the empires founding so that's not it however according to Wikipedia Bavaria maintained its own ministry of war and worked in conjunction with the Prussian great military staff https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Army_(German_Empire)

No, not really... It was a state in Germany under the Prussian-led empire in WWI, but it still had its king and local parliament, IIRC.

Rheinland-Pfalz and Northrhine-Westphalia are states made up by the Allies.
Just like Baden Württemberg, Sachsen Anhalt, Mecklenburg Vorpommern and Lower Saxony being a special case.

For some reason I expected Rhineland to appear with a rhino horn and rush towards Belgium.
