Just the other day my friend had an interview to work for Microsoft (not sure what type of job but he used to work at the apple genius bar) he said that in his interview they asked him if he smoked weed, he said yes, he got the job
I haven't smoked pot in 20 years, but next time I go for a job I will say "Fuck ya, mind if I light up here?"

I was a bit surprised by that, as most geologists I know work for the government or oil/mining companies. I suspect they get drug tested.

Yeah I'm a geologist, but a researcher in academia so no one cares what I do. Friends that went into industry are definitely getting drug tested.

thats terrible logic. that just makes clear the point that people on reddit love to ogle over women. youre degrading her and making her identity almost entirely her sex. she, as a human being, decided to post something. thats as simple as it is. she wasnt doing it because she thought, "well, my karma count isnt graduating fast enough. let me abuse my sex and get upvotes for existing." i guarantee this. she was simply trying to enjoy herself and her time online by participating in the community! she didnt do it for attention anymore than any other poster here. she did it for karma, for socialization, and for entertainment. she didnt do it to get creepy PMs about how cute she is or to be reminded of her femininity. would she have gotten less upvotes if she were a man? probably. but who the fuck cares?! how socially inept do you have to be to think that everything is about sex?? what level of sorrow and patheticness do you have to exhibit in order to see humans as gender and nothing else? how sociopathic are you to categorize them like so? i would declare people like you, who tarnish legitimate posters and original content with your superficiality and interrogation, the reason the site is going down in quality. this isnt some "lel, pots are gud plus im gril ;)" persons attempt to gain points, but in fact, some neckbeards attempt to gain points by, unintentionally, satirizing themselves. poophead.

Yeah that's a common recurrence with shitpost, anytime there's a photo of a woman it's a shitpost because.....women? They usually spell it "grill" too for maximum circlejerkiness.

If you're complaining about shitposts (half the time i'm not sure what folks mean by that, the other half i'm still not sure) in r/trees I think you've gone too far.

Do you even have a decent job? Weird accusation coming from a guy who photographs cakes. I would think he would understand not everyone has to work 8-5 in a cubicle to contribute to society.

Some of us have decent cubicle jobs and smoke weed occasionally, too! It's really not too difficult. My job drug-tested me when I started (they do it for everyone but it's mainly for insurance since we have warehouse workers and truck drivers), and then hasn't cared since. Shit, I (stupidly) told HR I might not pass it (but I did) and they didn't retract my offer.

Most companies don't care what you do in your down time. The drug testing is a way to deny workers comp if you get hurt on the job, which is actually what lowers the insurance premiums and not the fact that the insurance companies believe their clients are only hiring drug free employees.

What a harmless post to piss so many people off like that. They get so offended that this isn't "useful content"... but it's people smoking weed in r/trees so I don't really get it. But no, they don't hate women or anything.
