For those wondering, he was fired a few weeks ago.

Yeah, looks like Victoria was just the most recent and visible firing in a trend the past few weeks.

What is reddit even doing? Secret Santa and IAmA were, like, two of its biggest things.

They took the edgy teens out, then the IAmAs, then Secret Santa. If dank memes and photos of 90's games go away this will be an empty landscape.

according to a mod of r/CitiesSkylines, they almost removed a member working with gaming subs a couple months back here

Two of the very few things which people outside reddit talked about in a positive way.

So are u/kickme444 and u/chooter now going to create a new reddit on Netflix or am I confusing this with something else?

When you fire Santa Claus, you know you fucked up big time.

I don't always comment in r/subredditdrama, but when I do it's because I'm referred to as Santa Claus.

so there's the possibility that all of this doesn't have to do with actions but with layoffs?

edit: looks like they haven't moved u/chooter to the Reddit Alumni section of the team yet. huh.

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

How fucking tone deaf is reddit management?! AMAs and gift exchanges are a huge part of what makes reddit such a unique place. No where else on the internet has anything like it. You should reward the people who worked hard to make those things what they are today, not fire them.

Like seriously, WTF.

Sacking two of the nicest, most competent, employees is sound business strategy. Almost as sound as electing a CEO that was linked to Ponzi schemes.

Okay. Wow. Let's fire someone who's job was to get the internet together once a year to do something nice for each other. WTF is going on?
