Gender Wars Are girls equipped to survive in the outdoors? Do they even want to? Some users in /r/Survival try to hash it out

Well this is r/survival I probably shouldn't go against the circlejerk.

Is r/survival particularly jerk-y...?

good for females to be tough and strong

Yeah, no. That's actually really unattractive to most guys

Yeah, that should be a kid's priority.

You, as a woman, cannot dictate what men are attracted to. Just like I can't tell you what you and all other women should be attracted to.

This guy who is trying to dictate what other men should be attracted to is in fact a TRPer.

Since women predate permanent human settlements they were obviously equipped to live a nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyle in the great outdoors.

Let me ask you one question. If a girl you know was carrying some bags, would you carry them for her?

He seemed to think this was going to result in a 'gotcha' moment, but I fail to see how.

I like old values and I'm scared that one day buying flowers for a girl or holding the door for her might be considered sexism. I've seen some of the tumblr feminist ideology and what you are saying is similar to it.

Why is this always brought up as chivalry? I have never just stood in front of a door waiting for a man to open it. Nor have it just let the door close on someone. Holding the door for someone is the most basic level of human kindness. If you think you re special because you do that, then you are a shitty person

Feminist drama aside, is throwing up a shitty tent building a shelter now? I wouldn't be impressed either if I was that little girl

Carry it for her, show the world chivalry isn't dead. I like old values and I'm scared that one day buying flowers for a girl or holding the door for her might be considered sexism. I've seen some of the tumblr feminist ideology and what you are saying is similar to it.

M'lady.

Do guys? I'm male and I have no interest in wilderness survival. If I want to live without electricity, heating, and running water I'd go visit my grandparents.
