"It was an automod rule written by me, for /r/IndieGaming to check the onslaught of gamergate crap that was breaking all of our rules and not even remotely on topic. It's not a blacklist, it simply checks for certain words and notifies the moderators. The moderators then decide what to do."

Gamergators would be my example of the worst community on reddit if it weren't for the Nazis and the redpillers. I would say the conspiratards too, but I already said Nazi.

Chill dude GG and the subs dedicating to advocate or fight it are shit subs endlessly mired in gender wars. but beatingwomen Trp theoryofrape and the like are faaaaarr worse in terms of content and community.

I just can't get over how incredibly petty the GG crowd is (both sides of it). This drama has been going on for ages. It has to be almost a year now. How is it still something people get worked up over?

Where does fatpeoplehate rank in that group? I feel like you are snubbing them.

Look I know it's not exactly 'popular' on this sub to suggest, but it's not like anti-GGs are much better than GGs from an outside perspective. Don't you think it's a bit weird that u/xaviermendel got removed as a mod the day after he made r/kotakuinaction subreddit of the day? Everyone in this sub calls them paranoid people who care about pointless trivia, when anti-ggers do things that they are 'overly paranoid' about such as having them demodded and brigaded and showing that they too care a shitlaod about this 'trivial' topic.
Also, if you think gamergate is pathetic and anyone who posts about it is sad, why is it literally the top of this subreddit, every, single, day?!

He probably got removed for using the subreddit to further his own goals.
He leaked mod logs on r/kotakuinaction at the same time he made it subreddit of the day, obviously planned to be together for higher exposure.
I am sure at least a couple of the mods in r/subredditoftheday didn't like that very much.
Why is it at the top here so often? Users in the r/subredditdrama love drama where people are whiny, stupid, and pathetic.

People enjoy wasting their time on things, I say let them. I agree with you on your first point though, both sides are obviously fanatic, both idolize shitty people and both are in a very heated debate against the straw man they built to act as the boogeyman. Maybe when SRD puts a temporary hiatus on the topic Ghazi will go home and we can laugh at other things.

I wonder if he posted exactly what they want to hear, would they down vote him, and declare that it proves exactly what they want to hear?
They couldn't even manage to avoid down voting the guy answering questions for them in their own sub...
