Mud gets flung about in /r/bodybuilding when someone asks gay bodybuilders how their diet affects their sex life.

This post seems to almost be a joke. Not all gay men are recipients of anal penetration. If you really want to know about gay men, you should do some sincere basic research and not base your questions on unthinking societal assumptions.

Sound the white knight alarm. We got a live one, boys.

Is there anything that reddit won't call a "white knight?"

I like the implied assumption that the speaker isn't a gay man himself (incidentally, he later says he is), because everyone is a straight male unless otherwise specified - even in a thread consisting of a question explicitly directed to gay men.

Also, why would a straight man be "white-knighting" for gay men? Doesn't that sort of miss the whole point of what white knights' motive is supposed to be?

Hell, I've been assumed to be a man more times than I can count, and I even have the word "queen" in my username.

You could've been positive and turned this into a teachable moment

I'm normally big into education and all that, but I honestly can't imagine anything I'd like to do less than explain the mechanics of gay sex to a bodybuilding forum, so I don't exactly blame that guy for avoiding this particular 'teachable moment.'

Heterosexual men are obsessed with our assholes and poop, it gets old having people constantly ask you about your asshole and poop and reducing your love life to nothing more than poop. Not interested in learning about homosexuality on a substantial level, only interested in poop.

edit: also lol @ "learning opportunity". What do they expect him to say? Yes, high protein and fibre diet probably means more poop. Yes, sometimes poop happens if you don't prepare. Some people like myself go every morning at the same time and have never had poop occur during sex. No, poop isn't a common occurrence. It's easy to avoid even with a high protein diet because you're still pretty regular. Not sure why they need a gay man to confirm that 2+2=4, it's no wonder heterosexual men get grossed out by gay sex when they only talk about it in the context of poo and subconsciously associate it with poo as a result.

It's just annoying because if you talk about your sexuality they flip out and say they don't want to hear about it but think they have a right to ask you as many innappropiate questions as they like.

We're not allowed to talk about gay sex or make them uncomfortable but they can make as many uncomfortable questions, comments, jokes as they want whenever they want and are only interested in giggling about poop and not interested in actually learning, and then get mad when you don't entertain their poop obsession

Oh, I assumed it was about the other part: some heterosexual men think putting one's weewee in a bodily orifice is the entirety of sex, therefore all gay sex is anal sex.

I thought many straight men glorify anal sex with women. Do they think women don't shit?

Semantic Satiation has ruined this post for me :/

But yeah, i have not been in a relationship with a dude, so i don't know the full extent but it's also like the whole "which one of ye is the girl?" thing which boggles my mind. Neither. That's the point.

Anytime they bring up poop I would just say "And vaginas are where girls pee and bleed and excrete other stuff. How do they fix that? Aren't you afraid of pee or blood? I wouldn't want that in my penis! That disgusting! Fucking heteros."

Why not? The entire thread was written because the OP was curious, it's not like homophobic slurs would've been slung around. Heck, why even comment if you literally do not want to engage in the thread? Downvote and move on.

A lack of homophobic slurs doesn't mean it wouldn't be an annoying audience to explain to. I don't think they're aggressively gay-hating or anything, but the 'lol butts hue hue hue' attitude and stupid jokes that any gay guy has heard 1000000 times are going to make it an annoying thread. Like explaining sex ed to 13 year olds.

I believe the teachable moment he was referring to is just the fact that not all gay couples have or enjoy anal sex. Hell, it never occurred to me.

And why do you think that is? Why did you assume every gay man is into anal sex? Do you think it has something to do with the fact heterosexuals constantly frame homosexuality as anal sex and nothing more? I just wish they'd stop projecting their childish obsession with anal and poop onto us all the time lol

Why not just 'Redditors who receive anal'? Is there something special about gay bodybuilding men who receive anal that requires excluding women/everyone else? I'm more of an effeminate guys type guy so I don't exactly have any hunks on speed-dial to ask.

turns out heterosexual men can be white knights for gay men.

Honestly, though, if I went onto an online bodybuilding forum I would be surprised if there wasn't at least one weird, childish thread like this.
