Things get charged in /r/Dallas in a thread about Tesla passing over Texas for Nevada

Pretty much every sub-thread in there had some buttery sniping. The hits include:

So come on down y'all and enjoy the drama. Just remember, don't mess.

Can the Tesla Factory sell directly to consumers in all the other states in the US? Car dealerships and franchises are simply how cars are sold and distributed.

and change sure is scary

So far I think Arizona and California - I haven't seen any tesla stores in nevada, but they may be able to do it there also.. It would be great if we got rid of the car dealership model.. I have an acquaintance that is a car salesman and makes over 30k a month.. 30k for commission + other dealership fees that people shouldn't have to pay to buy a car.

I've worked at a few dealerships of different types (luxury marques, economy marques, new, used, massive, small) and franchised new car dealerships do not deserve to exist.

I smell a troll. I'm not sure when Oxford starting giving out PhDs in "Car Business", but I kind of want one now if it were true.

Man imagine if they built it in Texas.... the whole state would tear itself apart.

... I've driven 2 of the 3 Teslas that are owned in my circle of friends and colleagues here in Central Texas.

Methinks you have a foolish impression of a place you know little about.

Eh you forget that Texas base is energy, not just oil and gas based cars. Not to mention they are electric, and given that the main source of electricity is... you guessed it, oil and gas.

That's a showroom however, you aren't actually allowed to buy it from them.

The Obama bot is great. Especially because they don't seem to realize its a bot.
